Figurative Language

Article posted October 25, 2007 at 06:06 PM GMT0 • Reads 343

Good Thursday morning Woodall's Wonders. I hope you had a good "sleep-in" day. (Sorry Isaac :):):) Anyway, let's get some feedback going here on how you're doing with your Figurative Language projects. Share what you've found, the type it happens to be (metaphor, personification, etc.) and tell us where you've been finding them. Make sure that if you type one out on the computer and add it to your sheet that you quote your source! I can't wait to hear how these projects have been going.

Descriptive Wheel

Article posted October 25, 2007 at 06:10 PM GMT0 • Reads 37

Give us some ideas on what you're adding to your wheel for the description of our musical, "Once Upon a Mattress." I can't wait to see these and put them together with your advertisements that we'll be displaying on Mrs. Hankins's bulletin board. I want to "knock her socks off" (oops, another idiom:):):) with the wonderful advertisements you'll write and illustrate to attract even more attention to the musical. I'd love to post some of them around the building to arouse even more interest. So, in your accounting of your description - give us some ideas you have of how we could do some really "cool" advertisement. Don't forget to make those "complimentary and positive" comments to follow up our team's comments to this blog.

Book IT !!

Article posted October 25, 2007 at 06:21 PM GMT0 • Reads 34

Let's use this space to give synopsis of the books we have read to gain interest. Tell about the plot and subplot, characters, etc - but do so without giving away too much of the story. I'll put an example on when I have a chance. Right now I'm too busy making your parents cry during conferences !!!! Tee-hee !!!!

Also, use this space if you have any questions about Book IT and such. Don't forget, we have Halloween on Wednesday - so get those Book IT projects in by Tuesday.

Dividing Decimals

Article posted November 7, 2007 at 03:34 PM GMT0 • Reads 34

Here's your chance to shine on the division of decimals. In "How To" form write ALL the steps for solving this problem.

197.6 divided by 7.6 =_________________

Pretend you are teaching a 4th grade student to solve this problem as you write the steps.

Good Luck, Wonders !!!! Ms. Woodall

Wonders - Wonders!!!

Article posted November 13, 2007 at 10:37 PM GMT0 • Reads 53

Okay, Class. Some of your division explanations were not accepted, however I did not go in and delete them. Please go in and either add to them or correct them. This will take some thought and quite an explanation. Many people had the wrong answer or did not put an answer down at all. So let's take care of those, PLEASE !!! It has been a week.

Some need to add a How To......let's get those finished this week.

Need several Book Reviews added to our page.

I look forward to seeing these tomorrow. Tonight I will be at Airliner Class and we'll be moving on to those this week and next.

Until we meet again.......Ms. W.
