How do you feel about having a learning disability?

Many of you have been teased or made fun of because you come to my room to get extra help with school work. We have talked about what causes a Learning Disability and why it is harder for you to learn compared to other students. Express in your own words how this makes you feel!



Some of you blogged to this last year but I want to hear from you again to see if you have additional thoughts or feelings about this topic. If so blog about it!

Getting to know someone famous with a learning disability.

After chosing a famous person that has learning disabilties I would like you to blog to me about this person. Tell me what makes them famous and how they overcame their disability. After reading about your famous person you should realize that you can also go very far in life even though it may be harder for you than a person without a disability.

State Tests

As you know you will all be required to take Kansas State Tests in different subjects the next couple of months. But do you understand why you take these tests? Are they important to you? Do your parents care about how you do on these tests? Do you think it is fair that you have to take these tests even though you have been diagnosed with a learning disability?
