Free Audio Stories for Kids
Storynory is a great website to find audio stories for kids. At this site, you’ll immediately see their latest stories as well as links to Original Stories, Fairy Tales, Classic Authors and Junior Stories. But…it gets even better as you scroll down.
Would you like to know when the weekly story is available? Click on the Email link and subscribe to received a notification.
Would you like to listen to stories on your computer? Click on the iTunes link. With iTunes installed on your computer, you’ll be taken to Podcasts in the iTunes store where you can download any story for free. When it’s downloaded, you can return to iTunes later to find the stories in your Library under Podcasts. Download one or several stories because you’ll always be able to go back to the website and link back to the iTunes store for more.
The terms of use allow you to copy (for instance, burned to CD) any of their stories for use in your classroom. This will save server space. Take a look at the terms of use for yourself.
The Story Home also provides audio versions of classic stories. This site also gives you a link to the iTunes store to download the stories to your computer. Go to the “Subscribe via iTunes†link to see what’s available.
