The Mayflower was not large, so the Pilgrims could take only those items that they could not make for themselves or that they needed the first year. They took tools, weapons, and household utensils. They took spinning wheels, looms, cradles, trade goods, some clothing, seed grains, and garden seeds. Many people took their Bibles.
We imagined traveling to a new life in a new world. Click to find out what we would bring on our trip to the New World.
What would you bring?
If I was a Pilgrim traveling to the New World, I would bring my Bible to pray.

Saint Nicholas
Holy, kind Saint Nicholas,
friendly, good, and wise-
When he could, he helped the poor,
always by surprise.
We can be like Nicholas
and have a lot of fun,
showing by our words and deeds
love for everyone.
We can prepare for Christmas by imitating St. Nicholas and surprising others with our kind deeds and help.
How did your child surprise you today?
