Making the Monkey

Article posted January 7, 2008 at 03:30 PM GMT0 • Reads 156

I do not remember using the tutorial.

When we created the Monkey Game in Scratch, I liked doing it that way because it was an easy to follow and easy to do. I felt that it was successful because everything worked as it was supposed to.

When I teach the sixth grade I should give more ideas so they can have a good idea about the program.

Three things I like about Scratch are:

1. Recording different things to be said by my character.

2.Making different games to be played.

3.Playing already existed games.

Things that other people can enjoy about Scratch is:

1: you can do almost anything

2: There's no end, you can just keep adding to whatever you are doing.

On Scratch I wish that I could make commands for the monkey that he would do whatever I say.

Review

I read The Boy With Twelve Toes

1. I would let Earth stay and give the story-teller another story

2. I thought that it was a good, creative story.

3. The conflict was a little different from other stories, but it made the story interesting. The conclusion was overall happy.

4. The story was fiction because there was a talking bear, and a boy with twelve toes and twelve fingers.

5. The words in the story were perfect because it made you feel as if you were the main character.

6. The culture gave you the feeling that him running away was a struggle.

7. The story I think would have been even better if there was more action such as the uncle in his ca driving near him and he had to escape.

8. I think that all of the areas were great for the story, but I think that the old lady's house should have some more description.

9. The talking bear is ver helpful in this story. The bear can talk and without that bear the boy might not have been able to live as easily.

10. This story was very creative, it had a lot of meaning and wouldn't be good with changes. The story was great the way it was.

Ideas

Article posted January 22, 2008 at 03:41 PM GMT0 • Reads 108

1. A good idea has action in the beginning.

2. A story has to catch the reader before it gets to boring for the reader.

3. A good story has to have an exciting character to have meaning.

4. A story should have a good setting where many exciting things can happen.

5. When writing a story you should read it over every now and then to make sure it makes sense.

6. A good story should have some humor. A funny story keeps the reader happy.

7. A good conflict is mandatory. When there isn't a good problem, the story gets boring.

8. At the end of a chapter you should leave a cliff hanger so the reader will want to go on.

9. When a story is written the main ideas are most important.

10. When writing a story always have a clear understanding of what you are writing.
