Randy Moss and Me

Article posted September 29, 2005 at 03:53 PM GMT0 • Reads 56

If I could be someone, I would be Randy Moss. Randy Moss has a super human athletic ability. He is a wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders. His career has led him to be the possible best receiver in the NFL.

Randy Moss is very fast. He can burn defenders in only three steps. Teams must double or even sometimes triple cover him. I would love to be able to run as fast as Randy Moss. If I was Randy Moss, most of my recreational time would be spent running around.

Randy Moss makes the highlight films almost every week. He can make finger tip catches and one handed catches with ease. Randy can score touchdowns when he is covered by three people due to his athleticism. Randy helps quarterbacks to play much better than they really are. Quarterbacks throw the football deep, and if the ball is anywhere near Randy he has a chance of catching it. Most cornerbacks cannot jump as high as Randy Moss. I take joy in jumping on a trampoline. Randy Moss can jump fairly high and he is tall. It gives you a feeling of you being on top of the world.

Randy Moss reaches physical heights I dream of. His life must be filled with excitement.

An Old Man Comes Home

Article posted October 6, 2005 at 03:45 PM GMT0 • Reads 36

The wind whistled softly down the deserted street. Voices of the past could be heard if you listened hard enough. Once a magnificent city, it now laid in a fog of corruption and broken souls of the past to bring back memories of what the city once was.

A crippled old man lived in an apartment on 21st street. Once a brilliant composer, he now is a shadow of his former glory. His pain for his long lost family drove him into manic depression. The memory of the audience applauding him at the theater was now a fleeting glimpse.

William Kuemmeth's arthritic hands longed to play the piano. He played songs for his deceased wife, La Nore. Singing and playing for La Nore overwhelmed William, driving him to tears.

His family had moved away from the city twenty years ago to escape a reaper. William only has brief memories of them. He has not seen them since.

William had become severely ill with pneumonia. When nothing seemed to cheer William at all, a time of madness, a grown man opened his door. William recognized this man as his grandson whom he has vague memories of.

Greed and You

Article posted November 28, 2005 at 07:09 AM GMT0 • Reads 42

Money is not the most important asset of life. Many people believe money in a large abundance will bring them happiness. If this were the case, we would not have terrorists and dictators destroying life. Happiness comes from helping others and lighting up a person’s day. Kindness brings more into the world than money. These two treasures can never be beat off by matter of the material world.

There are many rich people who are not in a glad mood. They are snobs and jump on the lesser. The poor people of this world can teach us many valuable lessons. Poor people live together and share food and clothes. The homeless have little to nothing of worth. They still enjoy some activities they take part in.

Greed can destroy the lives of people and nations. Money forces people into conflict with their friends and neighbors. They hunger over it and will do almost anything to hold a green piece of paper. This often ends in fighting and arguing. If everyone could forget material possessions the world would be a much better place. The luxuries of cash corrupt people and it is a false idol.

Greed brings hatred into the world. We as a people must learn to forget it. Our main goal should be on helping each other and achieving goals.
