A camera crew came on Monday to record some of us using Skype. We asked them some questions like what kind of jobs they had when they were young. Bill said he was a photographer. Then Gary said he fixed engines on motorcycles. There was one director and a recorder. They put paper around the lights so it wouldn’t be too bright for the camera. There was a camera, microphones, lights, and a laptop. They interviewed Mr. Crosby. Then they left to go to Celest’s house and record her using Skype. Then we stopped using Skype because they had to go interview her.

I didn't dress up this year for Halloween but I asked my mom if I could go with my friends and she said yes. I went outside with my friends to trick or treat at 6:30 we went around the apartments to trick or treat for a little while then we went to the Greenbare street houses. We went trick or treating there, then we went to a haunted house. Inside there was a guy hanging from a tree but he was not dead. Then we went to the maze and a witch

scared us. Next we went to the end of the maze and a guy with a red costume scared us and we walked through plastic bags hanging from a rope. At the end a lady gave us candy. Then after that we went through a person with a costume was chasing us and we ran from him. Then we dropped some of our friends off at their houses. We decided to go home and go to sleep. I did have fun celebrating Halloween.

On Thursday we Skyped with to 8th graders in Maryland to talk about the videos we saw that they made. Then we asked them some questions about how they made the videos and the drawings. We did better on Thursday because we talked more than the other day we Skyped. While we were talking about the videos the camera froze the image on us, but we could still hear them. We talked about the videos. They were funny like that a boy bumped his head on the ride was funny, and the Chicken Boy Song that was funny too.

When I first woke up on the 4th of July I went to my sisters room like always and her friend called and asked if she if my sister could go to Lake Tahoe. My sister said yes so I asked her if I could go with her and my sisters friend said yes, so I got ready. Then they came and said, “Lets go eat first.” We ate McDonald’s and then we drove up the highway. Then we arrived at Lake Tahoe and I saw a big open space of water, I got in and I went under the water and it was nice and deep and I saw fishes with their family. Then we swam to a big rock and I jumped off the big rock and I had fun. We got out and dried up and left to the beach for a little while. Then we walked to our car and we saw cars getting tickets from the cops then left home before we get a ticket and that was a fun time in Lake Tahoe.

On Tuesday we had a big Thanksgiving feast and had lots of food. We had turkey, cod, salmon, venison, duck, bread, green beans, corn, cranberries, and pumpkin pie and drink ginger ale. We saw a big turkey when Mr. Crosby pulled the thing that covered the turkey and it smelled good. I liked all the food but green beans, cranberries, and blackberries. Then Mr. Crosby called us by table and we went to get our food. The food looked nasty but it was good. The salmon was red, duck was brown, cod was white, cranberries was red, venison was black, and the turkey was brown. When we were eating the food made my stomach full. We took pictures before we ate. My friends Alex, Cesar, Marcos, Luis, Tyler C and I went in the middle of the class and paraded around the classroom. Then we went to recess and Mr. Crosby said when we come back from recess we will eat the pumpkin pie and that made us more full. THE END

This Thanksgiving I’m going to be thankful for the food that we have. I mostly spend time with my Mom, sisters, brothers, aunt, uncle, and cousins. We might eat turkey, mashed potatoes pumpkin pie and drink soda and I will play Thanksgiving games like put the Tail on the turkey and have fun with my cousin, go on their computer, and play with their dog. At 12:00 o’clock we will have a toast of apple cider and when my uncle gets drunk he lets us light fire crackers and make this the best Thanksgiving this I’ll be home by midnight I go to sleep like around 3:00 in the morning.

OUR BROKEN WINDOW

Have you ever had a window broken in your classroom? Our class did. On Sunday night my friend and I were walking around the school. My friend and I saw Mr. Taylor’s window was broken! the glass looked like broken ice. Our window was broken too. The next day when I first came to school Mr. Crosby took some pictures and showed the pictures to us. He took a picture of thing’s sitting on his desk and the Earth globe had a big crack and a big rock was by a girls chair. They took a cable from a camera and other thing. The good thing was that they didn’t take our laptops. There was and big chunk of glass on a cart and little pieces of glass on the floor. Bob our janitor took glass from the other window and put in the one that's was broken. He cleaned up very fast and I thought the glass was going to stay on the floor for the whole day and our class room would be very cold.

When I lived in Reno my Mom went to Walmart and got us Christmas presents. On a Friday a week before Christmas my Mom didn’t go to work and I went to school. My Mom put lots and lots of presents under a table and on top of the table and under the Christmas tree. I saw a bike by the Christmas tree. It was a nice blue bike. I asked my Mom whose is that bike. My mom said it’s yours and that was my first bike? I was so happy, I gave her a big hug. Also one of the other present’s I got was a PS1. I hooked up the connections and I played a cool game of Sponge-bob until it was late so I went to sleep. In the morning I woke up and got ready and went outside to ride my new bike on the street. That was my awesome Christmas gift from my Mom.

I invented a remote that you can say want kind of shoes do you want and it will appear on your foot. Because one day I went to the Mall with my friend and I want all the shoes there but I never had the money. I made the a remote and I got ever shoes in the Mall and plus some more that no one have and the shoes match with my close. I got ever indoor shoes and outdoor shoes and I let my friends borrow my shoes and my sister like Jordan shoes. I let her borrow my shoes and she showed off my shoes to her friend so her friend want my shoes so I invented some for my sister friend and they had a remote like me and I made my friend a remote and they got lots of shoes like me. When I go to party people asked where you get those shoes I said at the Mall for I can’t make one for them and I lied to them because I made a remote and I made some for my family and friend. I will take some to Mexico when I go over there because some people don’t have shoes and for the pour people and if I got to many shoes I will sale them to people that need them and give some to some store so they can sale them to and to kids that don't have some and I will asked some from my remote and from my gramma and cosine over there and my uncle ant.

Have you been to Las Vegas for a soccer tournament? I have, when I was practicing my coach asked if I could go to Las Vegas for a tournament. I asked my mom if I could go to Las Vegas and she said yes. Then my coach took me to Las Vegas. When we got there we went to a nice hotel. Our room was on the third floor and the room number was 221 like my apartment number at home. The next day I had a game so I got ready. I put on my uniform and my coach went to the store and bought water for the team. We arrived at the park and it was our turn to play. When our team made 14 goals because the goal box was big. Next we went to our hotel room for a little bit. Then we went back to the park to play again and we scored 12 goals. The next day we played again but this time we won a game and lost a game. Then we played the last game and we got 1st place and that day we left home and went back to Sparks.

I had a dream to be in the Agnes Risley school soccer team. I dream that I tried out for the Agnes Risley school soccer team and I made it. Then it was our first game on Friday and I made a lot of goals that game. First I made a goal from half filed and from the goalie box and we won all games and we went to the champion chips game and we won. A guy saw us played he said if we want to play his team in Las Vegas and your coach we said yes. So we pack up our stuff and went and played in a big stadium and a lot of people were there and we scored awesome goals and we won. We got Million Dollars and a gold trophy and it was heavy and the other team got mad at our team because we won in front of millions of people and I woke up and that was my awesome dream and I wish that I could happen.

When I was in forth grade my teacher Ms. Ferris said we are going to Squaw Valley. So the next I got ready at home and I went to the store to buy hot lunch then after that I went to school. Then I went to class room because the bell rang so our teacher said to go to our set for she can check who here and all student were there. The bus came and we went to Squaw Valley when we got there the parking space was full with ice then we got off. So we got in the building and went to the cable car. When we got there I thought we were going to full but we didn’t when we got to the spot we need it to go to. The people what work there said if we want to go outside and we said yes when then doors open it was very cold because we were more then 1,000 feetup in the air. Then we went inside to eat so we ate and had a good time then we had to leave so we went down with the cable car and got out of the building and left to school and had a fun time there.

One day my friend and I went to a place that had a lot of snow we made a big slide.

It was an dangerous slide and a fast slide when we got a sled and we went down it. I was the first one to go down because it was my sled. When I went down it had bumps but it was fun at the end I went fast and far.

When we got bored of it we made lot’s of other slide and I tried all of them and they were fast and bumpy. The part that I didn’t like is that I had to go home. That’s was my fun time in the deep cold snow.

On Wednesday a lunar eclipse was on and I was watching it. I saw the moon clear white in the beginning but then it turn red and I was excited. I was walking home one day when I saw a bird off in the distance flying in my direction. As it closer I noticed it didn’t look like any bird I had never seen. It kept flying towards me and my shoulder. I wasn’t sure what to do. I thought it was cool, but it also made me nervous. Then it bent its neck to look at me straight in the eye and suddenly...

The bird liked me so I took it home. When I went home my mom asked me why do you have a bird on your shoulder? “He followed me home so I decided to keep it”. I made a home for it out of a shoe box and I cut hole around it so it can breath. When I put him in his house I was thinking what kind of bird is was. So I went to the store to buy some food for it. I put the food in his home so he could eat. But the bird wouldn’t eat the food. I wondered what kind of food does it like. So I went to the store and bought a different kind of food. The bird liked it!!!

I named it Buzzy because it flyed around the house too much. My cousin came over and I let the bird out of his house. Buzzy attacked her. I guess Buzzy only likes me. I tried to teach Buzzy to not to attack unless I say so, but he still attacked her. My dad always went to feed it because he was hungry. When my dad feed him he went out of his cage and still attacked her but she liked it but we had to put her in the cage to not attacked her again. I loved that she said she likes my bird.

On Wednesday morning I made my lunch and I took little pieces of tomato and cheese, mayonnaise and bread and put it in a plastic bag and for a drink I took a Gatorade and a Crunch for my snack. When I got to school I weighed my lunch and it was 26 ounces but I knew that a sandwich weigh 4 ounces and if I take a sandwich out and keep it for my snack I will now it will be 22 ounces so I took that sandwich out and keeped it for a snack. So now I have two snacks.

When Mr. Crosby told us that we are leaving I got my system and Luis and I took it to the bus and the bus driver told us we can put it in the side of the bus.

I sat with my friend Alex and we were talking about how is going to be like and how big it is and we were excited because it was our first time going to MARSOPOLIS!!!.

When we got to Marsopolis there were lots of kids and it was pretty loud. We dropped our system on the bottom of a table. When we dropped our system off we had to go sit on the floor and the commander Mr. Bryant said couple of things like welcome to MARSOPOLIS!!!.

When Mr. Bryant told us to go to your habitat I saw my partners and I told them my name and they told me their name After that we started to build our habitat and we build a habitat by 8 x 12 I went to get more plastic because we needed some more.

When we were almost done a person said you can take a break because you have worked hard. Then when I sat down I wrote in my journal about how it was. When we were done building the habitat we needed to make a tunnel to attach to the habitat. When we turned on the air it came up weird but I liked it and I went inside and had fun inside the habitat. When I went for a drink and when I came back it was a little air inside it because there were holes that we needed to fix and then we fix them.

Then one of my our partners told me to help him to tap the hole together. When we where in the habitat I thought we were stuck inside but I had the scissors and he cut a hole around so we can get out. My other partners Luis and Jairo came inside. We all had a good time in the habitat. Then the alarm rang Mr. Bryant said “Come to the center of the Cosmic Village” and then we had to go. But after that we went back and work on it some more. Like put the fan flip over when we went to the center so we fix that.

When it was lunch I ate my sandwich and Gatorade and crunch and I ate with my partners Luis, Jairo and my other partners and I asked them if they want some of my crunch and they all said no excepted Luis and Jairo so I gave them some and the lunch was good.

Then after we ate lunch Mr. Bryant said we are going to do something different we are going to spilled up the address from number 1 and 2 and Mr. Bryant said group 1 go and show they presentation to your partners and group 2 they get to see a rock video and write in our journals. 30 minutes passed and we had to change and we had to show our presentation and we went first and we talk about our transportation vehicle and then we let an other group go and let a other group go but then the teacher said we get to go out side and play.

The tunnel tech had to stay and we went outside we played a game that you can exercised and then we played duck, duck, goose. We saw the fire truck come and the ambulance come because and lady pop her ankle. When we went inside we saw all the habitat together and we get to go through them and I went thought the long one first and then I went thought the short one. After that I went through the long one and I went thought the long one again so I went through the long one 3 times because they were fun.

Then when I went to get a drink and when I came back a kid had bumped to a other kid and a kid got a big bump on his four head and Mr. Taylor called the ambulance and they came and took him to the hospital and we had to wait for the bus driver to come but she came in 10 minuets and when she came we had to get our system on the bus and go back to school and we got home like around 4:30 and that was the first and fun time at MARSOPOLIS.

When I went to Wild Island the first time I went and with my family. I went on a ride called the Viper. When I got on the Viper I got really scared because it was my first time and it just goes down really fast. Then I went on the ride next to the Viper it called the Black Widow. When I got the tube with my sister you go really fast. Then you just drop and drop again and you go really fast down the ride.

Then we went on a ride called the Dragon eye. When we got on the tube and when we went down it was scary because you go down really fast then you go in circles just like a toilet then when your done you go through a circle to get out. Then I went to the waves pool and when I was swimming a bell rang and big waves were coming towards me.

Then a few minutes later we went to go eat. Then we got on couples of more rides like the lazy river and the Dragon Tale. Then my mom said lets go because it was going to close in a few minutes then we got our stuff and we left. When I got home I was really burnt and it hurt for two days. That was a good time at Wild Island.

One day our Coach said if we win our soccer game we are going to Lake Tahoe when the game was over we won 6-3 against Bangers and Mash. The parents said lets go to Bowers Manchine. The next day we all met up at Sak-N-Save the parents went to the store and bought food. Then our coach came late and then we left to Bowers Machine. When we got there we made hot dogs, hamburgers. We went to a graveyard and I saw a Lizard. Then we went to play soccer for a little while. We all wanted to go to the pool then a lady came out and said a pipe is broken so the pool was close. Then we told our coach. Coach said let go to Lake Tahoe so we can swim. When we got there we start making hot dogs, hamburgers. Then our coach told us if we want to play soccer but with your hands and we said yes!!! Then I got out and started to buried my friend and it started to rain hard and we got all the stuff and all of us left. Our coach called all the parents and said lets go to McDonald's and get Ice Cream then we got there and got Ice Cream. Then we all went home but I went to my coach house to play pool and play soccer with my friends.

One night my Coach asked if Cesar and I wanted to go to the fair and we said yes!!! I went home quickley to get $20. Then we left the fair and the first ride we went on was the Diamond then we went on the Bumper Cars. After that we went to a ride the goes high in the air then it goes really fast down. We went on it again and my friend Nestor went on it then I told Cesar to go on it. We all went on it like 8 times. Then we went to a big Slide then we went on a ride called the Sizzler. I wanted to go on a ride that's look's like a hammer and it spins around but Cesar or Nestor didn't want to go on it. Then Nestor and Cesar went on the Diamond again and I went to buy some Cotton candy. Then we walked around then we went on a ride that's is like a Air Plane and it goes high in the air. You should not put pictures of your car on the Internet. First, strangers could find the license plate of the car and could find out where you live. The second reason is that people that don’t like you could break your car windows. The third people that likes your car can steal your car.

I think the next president should allow more Immigration. Many Mexicans want better homes and better jobs to help their families and have a better life in the USA. Also the next president should make the green card easy to get so people could get in the USA easier and live better. That's why I think more Immigration should be allowed.

One day Mr. Crosby told us that we were going to Skype Mr. Mayo's class. Our class got excited because they were from Maryland. On Wednesday morning Mr. Crosby told us to get out our internet safety vignette. Then our table was practicing our vignette. Mr. Crosby clicked on the Skype button and clicked Mr. Mayo’s name. Mr. Crosby clicked the green button with the phone on it and called them. Then we Skyped about our internet safety vignette.

Our vignette was about a kid name Erick who put an embarrassing picture of his friend Bobby, in a swim suit. Bobby asked Erick if he would like it if Bobby put a embarrassing picture of him on the internet. Erick told him he would take it off right away.

Then a group from Mr. Mayo’s class went up and told us their blog titles and asked us questions like, “What time do you start school and end school?” They told us they liked some of our Blog's and asked who our blog buddies were. They asked how the weather was over here. Then a group from our class went and told their vignette, then we lost the Skype connection. When we got them back they had to leave to another class. Then we asked Mr. Mayo if we could Skype with him on Monday because some groups didn't share their vignette.

In the book My Mom The Frog, Jason has a wart and his mom kissed the wart. The next day Jason woke up and the wart was even bigger. He screamed and his sister Mary went to his room. Mary went and asked him what was wrong with him because she thought he was sick. Then Jason showed her the wart and she said not to touch her because she would turn into a frog. Jason remembered that his mom kissed the wart. He quickly ran to the kitchen and asked his dad where mom was and his dad said that she went to buy food. Then Jason saw a frog on the kitchen floor and knew it was his mom! Then his dad got a broom and put the frog outside. Jason went outside so he could look at his mom again. His neighbor Clyde peaked over the bushes and asked Jason why he was on his knees. Jason told him not to tell anyone and Clyde replied “OK”. Jason told him that his mother turned into a frog. Clyde didn’t believe him. Suddenly Jason saw the frog on top of the waste can. Jason tried to catch it but the frog legs were too slippery. The frog went into the bush. Next Mary, Jason’s sister, came and asked,“What are you guys doing in the bush?” Jason said that they were looking for mom. “I think she turned into a frog!” Then they found the frog and saw it under Mary’s legs. They caught it and Clyde said that the only thing you could do was to kiss her to turn her back to normal. Jason was going to kiss the frog but the dad said,”What are you doing kissing the frog? Put it down right now.” Then dad went and worked in the garden. Jason quickly caught the frog again and kissed it. Their mom came back to normal and baked cookies for Jason and Mary. Clyde went home wondering if that was a dream.

On 11/25/08 we Skyped with Mr. Crosby’s friend that went to Iceland. We asked him how the weather was there and he replied that it’s mostly rains? Then we asked him what the coins look like there. He said that some have a picture of a fish and some have a picture of a shark. He said that he was coming in 2 weeks and he said that he was going to bring us some coins for our class. We asked him why he went there Alan said that he has some friends their that went on vacation and they didn't want to leave there horses and dog alone. They asked Alan if he could watch them until they came back and Alan said yes. Next he showed us the dog that lives in the house. Some students said the dog was cute and my friend Camila said that she is going to get one. Also one of my friends asked him how does he keep track of the horses. Alan said that he gets his binoculars and counts 18 horses. Mr.Crosby asked what if there was not 18 horses. Alan said that he would call his friend’s sister and she would go to look for them. But Alan said that the horses will never get out. Then he told us that when his friends come back from vacation he will make them a dinner and his friends are going to make him a Icelandic dinner. Then Mr. Crosby said that we will see Alan in 2 weeks and all of our class said bye and he said bye back. Then we stopped Skypeing with Alan.

The Night Before Christmas

It was the night before Christmas and my Mom told me to go to bed. I brushed my teeth and I went to my bed and when I shut my eyes I saw a bright light and it was Santa and his Elf. Santa asked me if I wanted to be one of his reindeer. I asked why. Santa said his reindeer, Comet got injured and he need a reindeer. I asked him how could I turn into a reindeer?

After a little while Santa asked me if I wanted to go to the North Pole? I said yes. When we got there the snow was about 4 feet and it was a little hard to land so the elf needed to get out a shovel and get all the snow out the sleds way and that took a while. After the snow was all gone a magic door pop out and Santa open the door. I saw a lot of reindeer like Donner and Dancer, Cupid, Blitzen and there 4 feet and I petted Dancer’s nose and Donner because there my favorite reindeer. Santa said a magic spell and I started to grow hooves and a big nose and I started to grow antlers and fur. After a little while I turned into a reindeer. A Elf said about 30 minutes I have to be prepared to go and take Santa to deliver gifts for Christmas. I was practicing outside. 30 minutes pass and Santa came out and asked me if I was ready. Elf’s put the harness around me and all the reindeer. Some Elves put the presents on the sled Santa then got on the sled and told the reindeer and I to go. All the reindeer went crazy`and I was try to push the sled.

I went in the sky, it was amazing because I have not gone in the sky before. The first house we landed on the first house I didn't now how to stop. Then Santa passed me and said it was ok because it was the first time I did it. Then I was talking to the reindeer next to me and that was Dasher. We had to wait so Santa could deliver gift to the little kids and I heard a alarm and Santa came out and said that they needed to get out fast then they went to the next house and Santa saw a little girl peeking. She got scared and she went to tell her parents.

After a couple of houses I got tired from pulling the sled Santa said were going back to the North Pole and we all went back to the North Pole. Then we were in a dark tunnel. We went to the spot that the reindeer stop so they could get cleaned. Santa went to his room so he could rest and go to sleep for a while.

An Elf came to take me to my house for Christmas. I asked him how can I go to my house looking like this? The Elf said that I looked normal and I look at my self and I turned back to a kid. I check if the hooves came off and the fur and my big nose.

Then I woke up I was thinking if it was a dream. But when I opened a card it said Thanks for you help from Mr. C” My Mom saw the card and she thought that was fake. I didn’t see present for me but my little sister said that there’s more present for me on the other side of the tree. I open my present and It was all the thing that I wanted for Christmas. After that my sister went with me to go out to have a snow ball fight. After that we all went inside so we could get Hot Chocolate.

I didn't have a costume this year for Halloween. One after noon I asked my mom if I could go with my friends to trick or treat she said yes. I went with my friends to trick or treat at 6:30 we went around my apartments to trick or treat for a little while then we went to Greenbare street. We went trick or treating and I got a lot of candy, then we went to a haunted house. Inside there was a guy hanging from a tree like he was dead but he wasn’t dead. We went through the maze and a witch scared us and guys were hidding around the maze and scared us. When we got to the end of the maze a guy with a red costume hidings be hide a small tree scared us. We walked through some rip plastic bags hanging from a rope. At the end of the maze a lady gave us candy and I grabbed a hand full. After that we went by a person with a costume and he started to chase us and we ran away from him and we lost him. Then I asked my friend what time was it and he said 10:00 and I said that I had to go. So we started to drop our friends off at their house. When I got to my house my sister was watching TV and I asked her if she wants any candy and she said yes then after that I went to sleep. I had fun celebrating Halloween with my friend.

Today we watched a video and the video was about a girl who never hit a home run. When she was going to hit she hit the ball and she ran to first base and going to second she turn quickley and tore her knee. Two people from her team wanted to go help her, but the umpire said if you help her she will be called out. After a while two girls from the other team went and helped her and they picked her up and they went around the diamond so she can touch the 2nd and 3rd bases with her left foot. When they took her to the home base she looked up and every one was crying. Then when they got to the home base every one was cheering for the girls that helped the girl that tore her knee.



The thing that I thought was good sportsmanship was that the two girls helped the girl that tore her knee. The two girls helped her by picking her up and helping her touch the 2nd and 3rd base with her left leg because she deserved by completing the home run.

Skyping with Argentina

Today we Skyped with a class in Buenos Aires, Argentina. When we were done talking about our state, Nevada, we sang the Home Means Nevada song. After that students from our class had some questions to ask them like how old are you? Most of them are ten. We had even more questions like what grade? They are in 5th grade. Miguel asked what is the most popular sport in Argentina? They said soccer. I think they like soccer because there is a team called Argentina that is in an international league. Everth asked what kind of food they like? Most of them said pizza. Karla asked what the weather over there like? They said mostly hot and sunny. Luis asked what other languages do they speak? 25 people speak Spanish 12 speak English and all of them speak German. One student from my class asked what the name of there school is. The name of their school is (Goethe Schule) shule means school in German. Then it was time to say bye because they had to go back to class and we had to go to music class.

Memories about 5th and 6th grade

In 5th grade we had a lot of memories like the Camera Crew came to our class because they wanted to do a story on Celest and that day was a exciting day because that was the first that a crew a to our class room. The next exciting thing that we did was a project on the Harris Burdick with a 5th grade class that was in Long island, New York and we did a project that we did a story on a one of the picture of the Harris Burdick and we got to skype with the class that we did it with and talking about the project. After that the next exciting thing that happen was our class window was broken. When I came to school I saw the window broken and I was wondering what happen. Mr. Crosby said that someone broken in and stoled a internet hub and took stuff out. That all the thing that happen is 5th grade.

    In 6th grade we did a internet safety that we had to write all the important thing that we were’nt supost to put about our self. Then we did a project the it was called Around The World With 80 Schools and we have skype with Argentina, Florida, New Zealand, China, Thailand, Canada and, Wisconsin. The next thing that we did was the Reno Bike Project and we try to help the Reno Bike Project by trying to asked people to donate a bike that they dont use anymore. After that the Reno Gazette Journal came so they can talk top us about the Reno Bike Project. That's all the exiting thing that happen in 5th and 6th grade.
