Today we interviewed Mrs. Irene Tuokko. She is 99 years old and was born in 1906. When we [ Jocelyn, Kendall and myself] walked through the appartment door and walked down a small hallway we saw to the left of us a nice living room and a window that had a view of the river. To the right we saw Mrs .Tuokko washing her dishes in her kitchen. Here is some of the things she told us about the good ol' days way back when. She lived on a farm so she had to pump a hand car to get to school. There used to be a train station in Lac du Bonnet right by where the school used to be.She was 12 when WWI ended. Her oldest daughter is 71!For her age she looked young.
