No not Book Club!!

Article posted May 8, 2008 at 07:36 PM GMT0 • Reads 49

In book club I have really enjoyed myself. Reading is not my thing but since I was able to to read with my friends it made it interesting. It was also fun to share ideas and discuss the book out loud with each other. It kinda helps me get a better connection with the book, which will help me understand it more. Speaking of understanding, it was easier to understand it while talking it out with others. To me book club is good way to strengthen your reading skills.

During book club, I didn't like that people in my group were loud at times. I also didn't like that we had to do the same role sheets over and over again. Also I didn't like that we was not able to take the books home because I wanted to share it with my mommie and sisters. Really there was nothing I didn't like about book club. Over all it was fun.

What I would do differently to engage and learn in another book club is be willing to share all my ideas and thoughts. Also I would try to get my work and reading done on time. That way my group want fall behind. Mainly that's what I would do to increase my level of engagement and learning if I was to join another book club.

Please Don't Read This

Article posted May 9, 2008 at 07:12 PM GMT0 • Reads 32

Most definatly I would reccomend "A Hero Ain't Nothin' but a Sandwich" to everyone I know. To me, I think this is a good book because it describes what everyday families and kids go through. It also is written in a way that kids our age can relate to. The book also show how kids deal with certain things just to fit in with a group of kids. Which is not a good thing to do because it can lead to TROUBLE.

Now a little about this book. In the story you will find that there is alot of problems going on. It mainly deals with a boy, mother, step-father, and friends. A boy is going through alot and his family is trying to work things out but its just not cutting it.So this is probably what I would tell somone about this book without giving out to much information.
