My ecosystem was very muddy and dirty. It was full of ants and all sorts of nasty bugs. Yuck! But the cool part about my ecosystem was I saw two ants fighting. They were biting each other and they crawled on my pencil! I thought that was so cool. My ecosystem also had an orange Beebe. In my ecosystem there was lots of little rocks.

In my aquarium I have a plant called Elodea. The Elodea is so tall that it has to lean over to stay in the water. Also in my aquarium are little, tiny fish. You can see right through their little bodies Above all the baby fish and the Elodea is a plant called Duckweed. Duckweed lives on the surface of the aquarium. Duckweed also has lots of strings hanging down. In my aquarium is a snail. The snail has a green shell. I can’t wait to see what happens next week!

My Terrarium

My terrarium has lots of wood chips and sticks. My wood chips are brown, black, and dark brown. My leaf is orange, brown, and red. It is very dirty. My terrarium is very wet and has no sprouts yet. The water at the bottom is a half-inch long and one and a half centimeters long. I think my seeds will grow soon. I was right! Today my terrarium had a little bitty sprout. I am so exited! My terrarium is very wet. My sprout is maybe half an inch long and green. I think my sprout looks like a butterfly.

Pollution

My prediction if I put fertilizer in my terrarium is that the plants would rot and die. Then when the fertilizer leaks into the aquarium the elodea will get infected it will soon rot. So when the fish try to eat the elodea they will get sick and die. Then later the elodea will die. That will be very SAD.

In my terrarium there is a lot of dirt. In the dirt is a lot of gravel and seeds because we just planted new seeds. There are also a lot of roots because of all the plants. There a lot of leaves in the dirt because of all the water. Our rock is still gray and boring. It got really messed up when we planted new seeds. The plants are very long and wet.



Now for our aquarium, my water in my aquarium is very dirty and nasty. My rocks are still rocks. My duckweed is big and the strings at the bottom of the duckweed are very long. My elodea is so long that it has to lean over to stay in the water. My fish are both still alive and I can see right through them!

How do you make a motion?

How do you make a motion? What do you have to do to make a motion? How would it be if you did not do a motion? What do you do when you make a motion? How does motion stop its self? Why cant a car drive its self. Why does a car need motion? Does a car go faster with big wheels or small wheels? Does a car go faster with a push or a battery? Does a car go faster with front wheels or back wheels. Why does a car need gas? How do you put gas in a tank? What starts a motion? Why does a car need a steering wheel? Is a bike a motion.

We had four wheels. It was very tall and we put brakes on the axel and connected them to the wheels. Then we built the walls of the car and took a test drive. It did not go anywhere. So we looked at the axel, the wheels, then we looked at the brakes. The brakes were connected to the wheels. So it would not let the wheels move. So we dis-connected the brakes and we did another test drive and it move! Our special features were we had brakes and we had snowflake for style!

You should pick our playground because our playground is a really big playground and we have a lot of simple machines. In our playground we have 2 slides, stairs that take people to the top of the tree house thing. We have a rock wall and a rope to pull your self up on to the platform. We also have built 3 targets that you can shoot water out of to hit the target.

There is a zip line that you can go down. We have a bunch of stairs that you can go up to get to the top. We have purple monkey bars and an orange skateboard ramp. We have a person in bucket that when you pull them or pull the rope you lift the other person off the ground in the bucket. We have a telescope you can look through.

Our playground has a lot of things and some of the things require another person. We have 2 mats that when you slide down the slide you land on a mattress. And you can jump on them and then climb on a ladder.

Seasons

I think it gets dark early because when the Earth is rotating and the United States Is facing directly at the sun then it is summer. Because the sun is always facing us. But on the other side of the Earth in India it is winter and the days are shorter. Because India is not facing directly at the sun. So there is less heat in India. So that is why it gets dark early in the winter and stays light longer in the summer.
