The First Day Of School

On the first day of school, when I came to Agnes Risley, when I came in Mr. Crosby’s classroom I felt kind of scared, like if I was walking on halloween night in a neighborhood I didn’t know by myself because I didn’t know any of the kids in that classroom. Mr. Crosby’s classroom is not familiar to the other classroom I had in Maxwell because we had our own desks and in this classroom we don’t.But I think that it is still the same. I was also scary because I didn’t know if I was going to have a mean teacher or a nice teacher. But I got a nice teacher, like I’ve gotten the whole six years. I was concerned if I was even going to have friends at all. But I did. Know I’m not scared any more because I get along with the kids.

Favorite Place, Las Vegas

It was September 5, 2008 when I was going to leave to go to Las Vegas. It took my family and I eight hours to get to Las Vegas. When we got to Las Vegas it was about 4 am in the morning. So when we got there it was Saturday already. My family and I stayed at my uncles house. When the sun came out we woke up and started eating breakfast. The breakfast was so good. When we finished eating we went to the store to go buy more food and things for us and my family. We went to lots of stores and cool places. We went to lots of places that I don’t even remember them. When it was almost dark my causins and I went to a pool to go swim. The reason we went at night to the pool was because in the afternoon its really hot. Good thing the pool was opened the 24 hours. My cousins and I had lots of fun in the pool. The next day we went to the park to play with my cousins dog , we played soccer too. But when we where playing soccer the sprinkles came out by surprise and my cousins and I got all wet. The night came and we went to Circus Circus. I think that was the best place we went to that day. There was lots of rides my cousins and I got to ride on. But then we had to go. I think that was the sad part. The next day we got ready to go to the Hoover Dam which is about 1 hour from Las Vegas to get there. When we got there we saw that they are making a bridge. Then we went to a river near the Hoover Dam. We got there and touched the water and I think that water is much colder then the water in Lake Tahoe. One of my uncles though all of my cousins in the water. But I was the only one that he couldn’t get because my aunts where protecting me so I would not get wet. But when I was with my little cousin my other cousins saw that I was not with my aunts so they called my uncle and then cared me and though me in the very cold water. I got so mad that day because I didn’t want to get wet. Then the day ended and I was ready to go back home.

is that I like volleyball, I think that volleyball is a very

Showing Where You Go To School

Having information of where you go to school on any website is very dangerous. Why having information of where you go to school is dangerous because if someone that is mad at you can go to where you go to school and kidnap you. They can also hurt you.



Phone Number

Showing your phone number on the internet is bad. It is bad because someone you don’t know could contact you. It’s also bad because only from your phone number they could find out where you live and information of who you are.



Address

Having your address in public at a social network is not good. It is not good because someone that wants to hurt you could find you and know where you live. Bad people could find when your not home and rob your house.

Well those were my three ways to be safe on Social Network pages.

This is one of the issues that we have to fix. That issue is Medical Insurance and Health Care. I think health cares really important especially for kids because they can get sick, have a really high fever and need a doctor. Some people get in accidents and they don’t have health care or insurance and they can’t pay what the hospital charges them. I think that Medical Insurance is important to everybody, so they can have good health. Everyone's life is worth something don’t you think?



Another issue that we have to fix is that we have to have more jobs for everybody. Everybody needs to have jobs because people need money to survive. Without jobs people can not buy food, clothes, and other important items. If people don’t have jobs the stores will close down because nobody will buy the stuff they are selling and the stores will not be able to pay their bills. If people can’t find jobs they might have to move to a different place to find jobs. Kids will not get a good education because if their parents don’t have enough money to buy food they will not eat well and they will fail in school. I think that having a job is really important to everybody in the world.

Skypeing With Mr. Mayo’s Class

On a Wednesday Mr. Mayo’s class and Mr. Crosby’s class were Skypeing. At first Mr. Mayo’s computer were having some problems. I think that their computer kept shutting down, so we had to wait a few minutes. We waited but it kept having problems. Then Mr. Crosby told a group to go and share their vignette. While the groups were sharing their vignette Mr. Mayo’s computer started working well. Only four groups got to share their vignette with Mr. Mayo’s class. My group didn’t get to share their vignette because Mr. Mayo’s class had to leave to a different classroom to learn other things. Some of Mr. Mayo’s students told us their names, what there favorite subject was, asked some questions, and also told us who their blog bodies. I almost forgot that they also told us their blog title. I think that our group did well on practicing our vignette. Our class were learning about why its not good to put personal information or information about anybody else on the internet because something really bad could happen to them. This is what my group and I wrote for our vignette, Ten year old Tommy and his parents lived in Las Vegas. One day he was talking to a stranger on the internet thinking that the person was a ten year old girl, but it was actually a 50 year old man. The girl told him to go to the park and meet by the big tree. Tommy snuck out of his house and went to the park. He saw an adult and the adult told him that his daughter was sick and couldn’t come. Then he asked Tommy if he wanted to go to his house and see the girl and the kid said yes and then he drove off and nobody ever saw him again. That is why it’s not good to put your information about where you are going to be at a certain time. So that's what our group wrote for our vignette.

How would you feel if your older brother or sister come to your classroom to teach you, and your teacher information about college. Lesley’s brother came to our classroom to teach us about college. His name is Juan. He is 18 years old. He said that he played football. Juan use to be in Mr. Crosby’s classroom about seven years ago. Juan told us that when he was in elementary school he struggled with his school work. His parents really didn’t know english much and he didn’t get that much help from them. The grades that he usually got where c’s. That’s why he did not do well in elementary. He has two sisters and five brothers. While he went to school he realized that school was very important for him and his future. Juan graduated from high school last year now he is in college. I think that this is his first year of college. Before he went to college he told us that he dissected a cricket. Other classes got to dissected an eye of a goat, frog and other parts of animals. Juan got to go to Hawaii. Mr. Crosby asked Juan what was his major. His major is biology. In college he has to take lots of classes. He paid like about 450 and something dollars for his books for all of his classes. He want’s to be a pediatrician. A pediatrician is someone that works with kids. He told us that school is going to be very important for us so in the future you could have a good life.

If a Groundhog doesn’t see its shadow Spring will come up, if the groundhog see it’s shadow he will go back in to it’s burrow and winter will continue for six more weeks, the groundhog is also known as a Woodchuck, it is a member of the squirrel family.     These are my seven random facts. My first random fact is volleyball, I think that volleyball is a very

The Novel "Twilight"

The most attracting thing about the Novel "Twilight" is that there’s lot’s of drama. The Novel "Twilight" was written by the author Stephenie Meyers. "Twilight" is about a young adult vampire romance novel. It is the first "Twilight" series. The  book is about a girl named Bella Swan which is 17 years old and she lived in Phoenix, Arizona and then moves to Forks, Washington. When she moves to Forks she falls in love with a vampire named Edward Cullen, but her life is in danger. There still are  some other novels, they are "NEW MOON", "ECLIPSE" and "BREAKING DAWN". The apple on the cover symbolizes Bella and Edward's love. But the most fascinating thing about the Novel "Twilight" is that there’s lot’s of drama.

The useful thing of blogging is that you learn how to write better. I think that blogging helps you in lots of things in school and it can even help you get better at writing. The fun thing about writing a post is that other kids can read it and if they liked how you wrote that post they will leave a comment. If you are not good on using correct English writing will help you a lot. I speak two languages Spanish and English. I started learning English when I was in preschool and it was kind of difficult for me and writing really helped me on my English. I think that checking my post by myself is really hard for me. But the brilliant thing of blogging is that you learn how to write better.

These are some facts about lovebirds. Lovebirds like to be very active and like chewing on things. They make really loud noises. They start making loud noises at a very young age, some even make noises all day long but some make noises in the morning. Lovebirds are some of the smallest parrots in the world, they are 13 to 17 centimeters long and weigh 40 to 60 grams. Their lifespan is 10 though 15 years. What lovebirds usually eat are fruit, vegetables, grass, and seeds. There are different types of Lovebirds. There is the Masked Lovebird, Fischer’s Lovebird, Lilian’s Lovebird, Black-cheeked Love, Abyssinian Lovebird, Red-headed Lovebird, Grey-headed Lovebird, Black-collared Lovebird, but my favorite is the Peach-faced Lovebird.

Here are some important things about the first five chapters in the book Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone.

The Dursley's live with Harry because his parents died. The Dursley’s don’t like Harry because he is not one of their kind.

Harry receives letters but his uncle won’t let him read the letters and then he starts receiving letters frequently where they live.

The most important thing is that Harry has a scar in his head and the person that made that scar on him was the same person that killed his parents and tried to kill Harry but couldn’t.

Skypeing With Buenos Aires, Argentina

Like about 10 am our class stared Skypeing with this class in Buenos Aires, Argentina. They were pretty excited like we were when we started Skypeing with them. Our class started sharing information about us first and then they shared things about them. Our class groups had different things to share with them. What our group shared were our favorite food, favorite dessert, favorite music, favorite TV shows, and our activities. Then when we were finished sharing with them they asked us some questions like how old we are, what's our favorite food, what were some of our names. All of them like playing soccer and they like pizza. The name of their school is called Goethe.

But the main thing about the Moon is that 169 moons in the Solar System.

The Sojourner landed on Mars July 4, 1997 on Independence Day. Her job was to study the rocks on Mars. Yogi, Scooby Doo, Casper, Wedge, Shark, and Half Dome are the rocks that Sojourner is going to study. Sojourner’s special features are here camera, antenna, and APXS. The camera was to take pictures of the rocks on Mars. The antenna was to transmit images and also data of Mars. The most important was the APXS. It was used to identify the kinds of rocks and check the rocks chemicals.
