Lauren-2008 Presidential Election

Article posted October 15, 2008 at 07:00 AM GMT0 • Reads 88

The most important issue to me in the upcoming election is the economy. That issue is important to me because if we rely on stocks, we will lose a ton of money, and that wouldn't be good at all. If your companies stocks are able to be bought by people, and the economy is low, the people will lose money, and so will you. Even though the stocks are cheaper, they aren't in line with the S&P right now. Most of them are very low. That also means that you will lose a ton of money, especially if you are relying on stocks for when you retire. You won't get as much money as you would if the stocks were in line with the S&P. That's why I think the economy is so important.

I want Obama to win the next presidential election this year. The reason I want him to win is because he wants to help save the environment. There are a lot of endangered species that have only a few of them left. If we could save them, there would be a lot more of each left. There aren't a lot of polar bears left in Antarctica, and there used to be a lot of them there. Some monkeys have very few of them left. A lot of people love monkeys. Some snakes are endangered. In a show that I once watched, there were a lot of snakes that Africans were trying to train to do stuff for them. Obama also wants to help save trees. If he could make almost all the paper with information on it double sided, that would make a huge difference in the environment. That's why I want Obama to win the election.

Those are the reasons that the election is so important to me.

Lauren-The First Dog

I think that the Obamas should choose a Miniature Schnauzer for their dander free dog. Mini Schnauzers take great pleasure in announcing guests, the mail man, or anything that steps close to their door. If you buy a mini schnauzer, you should try to buy a baby one at the time and you should provide obedience training at a young age.

Mini schnauzers are very energetic, but they are indoor dogs more than outdoor. They can sometimes get themselves into trouble with their attitude. Malia is allergic, so they should choose the mini schnauzer-they don't give out oil dander. This particular breed is loving, affectionate, and family oriented. They only like short walks a lot of the time. They love attention, and are usually good with children of all ages.

Schnauzer means muzzle, and this dog loves to muzzle. Mini schnauzers hunt, track, and are very good watchdogs. They are also obedient and perform the tricks you teach them in competitions. They are small rectangular dogs with long heads. Mini schnauzers have bushy eyebrows, a wide mustache, and a long furry beard. They have straight backs that are level to the floor, and have V shaped ears that flap over into a V. Their docked tails are carried high, and they have a black nose with dark eyes. Their straight front legs make this dog look very sturdy, muscular, and strong. The different colors of the coats are: salt and pepper, black, black with silver, and white. Their outer coat is long and wiry, while the under coat is softer.

This breed of dogs adore playing with children if they are raised with them. Mini schnauzers normally stand about 12-14" tall, and weigh about 10-15 pounds.

If the Obamas choose to get this oil dander free dog, I'd name it Freddi if it was a girl, and Fizzy if it was a boy. That's why I chose this dog to be the dog I'd pick if I were the Obamas!
