At the South West library I met a girl and she wanted to go on a computer to play a game. She did not have a library card. I typed in my PIN and card # while she closed her eyes.

In Mr Ahlness's class we have XO laptops!!! They are awesome!!! They can swivel around all the way around!    You can only buy them once a year because they are so special.

I sort of like changing desks because I get to know different people in 3 weeks.

I also like sitting in different seats because I see the chalkboard in a different way each time.



The reason I don’t like changing desks is because I get used to them and then when

the 3 weeks are over I have gotten used to them and I don't like moving.

One day in Boston, Massachusesetts a turkey was running around the back of the Ritz Hotel.  His name was Bob.

  The reason he was running around the back of the Ritz was because the owners had caught him and in the next few hours he would be a Thanks giving dinner to millions of guests at the Ritz! Suddenly DING! An idea came to his little birdie brain!  He would call his best friend, Goat, (he was actually a goat ) to come and ram down the cage!  While thinking this magnificent plan he heard a noise! Clip-clop clip-clop! 

 “What are you doing in there?” Goat asked. “’Cause I can get you out of there. That is if you want me to,” he added.

 “Could you? Could you really?” Bob asked excitedly.

 “Yep”

 “Well then please do so immediately.” Bob said.

 “All right, but stand back,” he advised. BOOM! CRASH! Gobble, gobble.

 “Thanks Dude,” said Bob,

 “No problemo,” Goat said,

 “Well now, I’ve got to go” said Bob and then he sped off  leaving a trail of dust behind him.

 “I wonder where I’ll go after this. Hawaii maybe" Bob said to himself…TO BE CONTINUED………………

The Pike Place Market

I really liked the tour, the surprise donuts, and tasting the Gelato.  The tour was really interesting and I was in a group with Sophie, Xabrianna, and Natalie.  I learned a lot about the market.  Scott, the tour guide, said he was going to have us try roasted bussel sprouts but instead he gave us some donuts!!!!

I just got kittens!!!! Their names are Luella and Perry!! They are so cute!!! Luella's nickname is Llu . And Perry's nickname  is Purry because he purrs a lot!! My dad wants to name him Angus but we won't let him.

For Christmas I hope I get a new calendar because I need one. Tomorrow I might make a Willie Wonka Gingerbread house !!!

Bob in Hawaii

This story is about Bob in Hawaii. OK, here's how it went. Bob had hidden in someones suitcase after escaping from the Ritz. So he is now landing in Hawaii. After carefully sneaking out of the suitcase he ran. Eventually he met another Turkey. Her name was Ruby. She was trying to run away from some people. "Hello" said Bob. "Help!!!" was all she said then ran off leaving him in the dust. "Nice talking to you," Bob mumbled. After that Bob wandered around the city pecking at the crumbs people had dropped. Along the way to nowhere he saw Ruby. Still running away. "Help!" she screamed. Also along the way to nowhere Bob accidentally walked straight into a Turkey Trap. That night he was shot and eaten for dinner. THE END. And just in case you wanted to know, Ruby got away into a Turkey Sanctuary in Germany. How she got there is another story.

On my mind today is the Young Authors Contest. I hope that my picture gets on a Tee- shirt. I wonder if we can vote for ourselves. If we can’t I would probably vote for my sister.

Also on my mind is this weekend. My parents are going away on Saturday and they do not know where my sister and I will stay. I hope that we stay at my best friend's house like I did last Sunday.

My favorite food is Lasagna. I like it because I like everything that it is made out of which is spaghetti sauce, large bits of pasta dough, and cheese.



My favorite animal is a Cat. I like cats because I have 2 at my house and I have always liked them anyways.



My favorite month is November. I like November because my Birthday is on the 27th. And there is also Thanksgiving!



My favorite book is the Ruby Key by Holly Liesel. I like it because my sisters name is Ruby and the book is exiting, terrifying, and awesome.

My weekend was great!! On Saturday my family had a dinner party. My best friend, Jaimie, came over!!! We traded Pokémon cards. She has 800 and something!!! We watched “Mouse Hunt”. It was really funny.



On Sunday I watched some of “Inkheart”. It was really good!!! Tonight I am going to finish watching it. I might not finish it. I hope I do.

On my mind is the movie I watched last night, “Inkheart”. It was really good. There was an evil shadow who ate people, 2 Silvertongues (people who can make characters come out of books by reading the books out loud), a sort of crazy aunt, a bad guy named Capricorn, a Unicorn, a Minotaur, flying monkeys, Rapunzel, Ali Baba, and Dustfinger (a guy who can breath fire).

One of my most favorite kinds of books are fantasy books. I love how they have characters that I have only dreamed about. I also really like that they have real things (like castles and kings and queens) and they also have non real things like unicorns, fairies, trolls, goblins, etc, etc.



Another kind of book I like is BBBIIIGGG books like, the Harry Potter books for instance, they are gigantic!! I like them because they make me read longer. Normal books, like regular chapter books , I can read them in a few minutes.

Leprechauns

I believe in Leprechauns. They are small, bearded, old, short men. They live to play pranks on people. Last night I watched "Darby O'Gill and The Little People". In it there is a girl, a Banshee, King Brain of the little people(leprechauns), and an old lady.

Spring Break

This year my family is going to Vancouver for spring break. I hope that we get there quickly. We are driving. My mom says that it will take 3 hours!!!(A looooonnnggg time!)



We are going to the funnest hotel ever! There is only 1 problem, there isn't a pool. But they have an arcade, an Ice Skating Rink, and a bowling alley! The bowling alley has mini bowling balls!!!



I have been to Vancouver once before. That was for my birthday. We only stayed for a day. It was awesome! We rode the train to get there. It took a long time! Longer than 3 hours! We left at 3:00 A.M. in the morning! It took longer than 3 hours because the train had to stop at other places for the other passengers.

Thursday

The room that I went to was Ms Nall's 2nd. grade classroom. They were very well behaved. I was exited and nervous. I was in a group with Eilis and Natalie.



Friday

The room that I went to was room 25, Ms Kennewick’s 5th. grade classroom. The boys weren’t that well behaved but the girls were very well behaved. One of the girls wasn’t well behaved at all. I was in a group with Eilis and Natalie.

Earth Day!

My thoughts about Earth Day: My only thought about Earth Day is that I want to shop at Safeway today. I hope that I get 1 of my bags, or one of Natalie's bags, or 1 of Eilis's bags, or 1 of Siobhan's bags, or 1 of Room 9's bags.On the wall at Safeway mine is the one that has an Earth on it, the Space Needle, the Eiffel Tower, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and a black building with a thingie sticking out of the top.

Hello. My name is Melanie. I’m an Earth Day Grocery Bag. I have an Earth with a Peace sign on top of the Earth. My designer is Natalie. I have never looked better.

Anyway…. One day I was minding my own business and along comes some guy and starts putting some food into me!!! I saw some of my friends!!!! They were: The Ham Twins, Billy Banana, Natalie the Neapolitan Sandwich, Siobhan the Sweet, Liana Lettuce, and Kathy Kit-Kat. “Hi guys!!” I said. “Hello.” Well that was depressing. I was wondering where all their cheer and happiness had gone when I was loaded into some fast moving vehicle!! The vehicle stopped. “Screech!” I jerked forward. “Oomph!” said The Ham Twins. The guy picked me up, grunted and carried me into his house. He took out my friends, put them away, and threw me away. In. The. Trash!!!! The next day the trash guys wouldn’t let him throw me away. They took him to jail! I am now living with Natalie and she is using me over and over again.

The reading MSP was awesome. It was easy. I really liked it. It was a little too easy.



The Math MSP was o.k. It was sort of easy. Some of the problems where you add or subtract were really easy. The graph problems were REALLY easy. I liked the snack. It was Fruit Roll-ups, Juice, Goldfish, and giant pretzels.

I have 29 articles on my blog. The most reads on an article is 899. My favorite comment is from Steph. It is for my article about the M.S.P. test. My longest article is the first Bob the Turkey story. My favorite is Favorites. My least favorite is Penny Pencil. I want to delete it.



Part 2

Writing on my blog

To write on our blogs we sometimes use Microsoft Word to write then copy/paste onto our blogs. Usually I write on my blog directly. To fix mistakes we backspace, write the word correctly, and then continue writing our article.



Part 3

Getting Ideas

I usually make up my own ideas, but if I don't I usually ask whether or not I can use their idea. If they say yes I use their idea but my own dialog and the rest of that stuff.



Part 4

The Future of my Blog.

I will probably keep on writing on my blog through the summer. I will also keep writing through fourth and fifth grade.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy that school is almost out!! I am sorry that I will I will not be able to be at Casey 2's b-day party. We (my famiy) are going to be in D.C. and N.Y.C. for my mom's cousins, wedding. Her name is Alison. I have only met her 1 time, and that was when there was a hurricane. Her bunny died of stress.
