This weekend I had a soccer game. It was really fun! We had a fun time but we did not win but it was a fair game. The other team had a good goalie so it was hard to take shots.

My teacher is a great teacher. In class we play fun games. We do type to learn but I don't think that's a game. Well I am not sure. And he teaches art. He is great at art. His is like a, I don't now what to say, he is just great at art.

In school we do a lot of math in class. It can be fun but it can be hard. Some times we do easy math and hard math. I like doing math contests because if your name gets pulled and your answer is right you get a prize.

A Mystery

It was a dark and stormy night and it was a scary noise but it was just pumpkin. It was a very nice pumpkin. He was scared too. He wanted help because he could not turn on the light. He said, “I am sorry I was making a lot of noise, I was just trying to turn on a light and I bumped into something and I got very scared because I could not see anything and I am not sure how I got here.” And that is the end of my story.

Music And Gym!

Music and gym are my favorite things but I like class a lot too. In gym we run and play and in music we sing. I like doing those things. I like gym because I like running and playing games. And I like music because I like the games we do with singing. I like both of those things because activities are fun!

Hi My Name Is Runny!

Hi my name is Runny. Ok this is where it starts. It started in Dallas, Texas. So this man came where I was sitting in a very nice area. Well he sneaked up on me and he tried to get me so I turned around and he got a head start so I ran as fast as I could but when I tried to do that he grabbed my foot. So I had no way to get out and so I tried biting him. Well he was smart because he was wearing gloves so he took me back to his truck and put me in the back and turned on his car and went away.



Well he was not smart because he I was not strapped in so I could get out, well a few hours later I figured it out, so I took a step back and gobbled and wiggled and I was off so I jumped out the trunk and I landed on my feet and I ran away. Well that man saw me so he stopped his car and jumped out landed on his feet too like me and ran and he yelled GET THAT TURKEY!



So he ran and ran and ran well, he did not catch me. I was very lucky and he said I am going to buy a turkey this year!

I went to my friend's cabin for the new year and we stayed up till midnight. It was so fun! Then we went back to sleep. And when we woke up we were all happy cause it was not 2009 any more and it was 2010!

Mardi Gras is a fun holiday. The colors that a lot of people use are gold (yellow), purple and green. Last year in second grade my teacher Ms. Nall was from Louisiana. And she taught us about Mardi Gras. And on Mardi Gras we had a big parade it was so fun!

Martin Luther King

It is going to be Martin Luther King's birthday soon! It is on Monday! He was a great man. He helped stop the bad treatment to the black people. He went to jail before just for standing up but he kept trying till it stopped but it took him many years. And when he heard that Rosa Parks went jail he told a group of black people to stop riding the bus. And a lot of black people stopped for about a year.

I am doing great with my multiplication facts. They are easy, well a little easy. The minute I am on is ONE minute. It is a little hard because you don’t have a lot of time to work on it, but I will get better as time goes by. It is really fun to do multiplication facts. I don’t know why, I just do. It is one of my favorite subjects.

My favorite book is Because Of Winn-Dixie. it is about a girl that goes to a store and there is a scruffy dog running around loose in a store. And the manager is saying who let that dog in the store. And the manager says call the pound and the girl's name is Opal. Opal says that is my dog but it really isn't but she does not want the dog to go to the pound. And she makes up a name to prove that the dog is hers. So she looks at the store sign and says here Winn dixie. The manager looks at Opal kind of strange cause he might think she is making fun of the store. And then the dog waits for a second and then the dog comes and sits right next to Opal like he knows her but the dog doesn't really and they walked out like there was no problem. So that was some of the story!

My Pencil Story!

One day there was a class. The classes room number was room 12. They had a lot of pencils, all the kids had 16 pencils. And there was a really hard test and Mr. Ahlness was not their that day. And the room 12 kids had to do the hardest test in the world. Well to them it was the hardest test in the world. And they thought that they had a good amount of pencils. But one kid broke a pencil and then another kid broke one and it kept going on and on and on. And then every one was down to one pencil. Then a kid broke their very last pencil. So a kid lent the kid who broke their pencil a pencil so that kid did not then another lent that kid a pencil. And then that kid did not have a pencil so it was bad. Then Mr. Ahlness came back and saved the day!

My Spring Break!

My spring break plans are...

I am going to see family. We are going to go quickly so we don't get caught in traffic. I like to see my family. I can't wait till we go to see them. I am going to see my Grandma, Aunt, Uncle, and their kids. And their dogs.



My other plans for spring break are...

I go to the Great Wolf Lodge. Or the zoo. I like going to the zoo because I really like animals. And I like going to the Great Wolf Loge because they have a indoor water park, with monkey bars that are over the water and if you fall off you have to go back to the end of the line. If you want to go again.



My spring break plans are...

I might get to go to the museum. I don't know what museum I might get to go to. I might get to take my friend Sabrina. We really like going to the museum!



My last spring break plan I can think of is...

I get to go to the water park if it is a nice day.

Bringing bags to classes!

Two weeks before Earth Day we got assigned to different class rooms. We went to room 18, a second grade class room, Ms. Nall's class. The other class we went to was room 24. A fifth grade class. At first we thought it would be hard to talk in front of a fith grade class but it was not too hard. Oh Natalie and Daisy were in my group. Natalie did the most talking. She was really good at talking in front of a fith grade class.



It was way easier to talk in front of a second grade class. But Daisy and I did more talking in the second grade class, but of all Natalie did the most talking. The good thing was that we did it!

I am so happy to have a Blog. It is awesome so you can write articles. And people from a lot of places read Blogs. There is a blog called the West Seattle blog. I never read it but I have heard about it. There is room 12 blog where kids write on it. And you can send comments to people that have a blog. Blogs are awesome. In second grade pretty much every kid liked writing time. Well I think so. And I still love writing.

We Moved Desks!

Earth Day!

Earth Day is every day. Earth day is to help the planet. So we can keep it clean. Every Day is Earth day because people help clean the planet every day. I like the colors of Earth day because blue and green are my favorite colors. Do You like Earth Day? It is better to reuse things so you don't have to throw them away. Like reuse water bottles. And reuse plastic bags. If you see litter on the ground you can pick it up. And reuse paper bags. The good thing about paper bags are that if you recycle them the recycle man will bring it to this place and turn it in to something new.



Other things you can do to save the planet are. At the grocery store ask for a paper bag if you are planning to throw it in the garbage. Or get a plastic bag and reuse it.

Earth + Day Equals earth Day!

Once there was a grocery bag. And his name was Earth. He was all alone. He was on a wall in Safeway. He had an earth on him but that was all. He was sad most of the time. He got happier on Earth day because more people looked at him.



But one day a kid from room twelve brought in a bag and said to the manager, could you please hang my bag on the wall. The manager said why yes. What wall would you like to put it on. The wall by the front door said the boy. Well ok. But wait said the manager there are two front doors. There is said the boy. Well the wall that already has a bag on it. The bag heard the talking. He was very happy. That another bag was going to be on the same wall he was on. But when the bag got to the wall. Earth was even happier. Because the bags name was Day! Day had a calendar drawn on her. And Earth plus Day equals Earth Day. And that was the start of a great friendship.

2 Turkey Escape Story

Ok you of course know my name. Runny. You know when that man tried getting me and I ran off? He has a brain like an elephant. He came back were I was sitting in the same place I sat last time. And tried getting me again. So I remembered to peck him on the hands. And guess what, he wasn't wearing gloves. So I pecked as hard as I could so that would show him a lesson. But it didn't work. So he grabbed me by the legs and tied them together. I cried momma. And my momma came running.She said "momma's to the rescue". And pecks him on shin. He said ouuuch! Then he grabs momma and ties her legs together. And we were doomed. So he took us away. Then he threw us in the back of his truck and strapped us in. I think that he remembers me. So he took us to his house. Threw us into a cage. But guess what, he did not lock the cage. So we waited till he was gone. Then we opened the cage as quiet as we could. But when we started heading off I thought I should get him back for what he did to me. So I told momma. She said ok lets do it. So we went in his barn and got all the supplies we needed. Glue, string, honey, bees, and water. So we went in side. I went one way and momma went in the room that the man was in. And gobbled, wiggled, and screeched. The man heard her. And went towards her. And tried grabbing her. But she pecked him on the FOREHEAD. And said "Ha". and I tied his feet together. Put water under him. And put honey on the string. And let the bees go. Then we ran off as fast as we could.

3 Turkey Escape Story

Ok in the last story I wrote for the Turkey escape Story. You Know how they ran off. Well they ran off to England. Well maybe they didn't run all the way there. They took an airplane. And guess what on the way over there I got a cd player. There were a whole bunch of songs. Oh momma and I sang I of the Tiger. I of the tiger the fear of the fright. Oh we also listened to We will Rock You. We will we will Rock You. And Alvin and the Chipmunks. And when we finally got there it was awesome. And we lived there happily ever after.

My blog is pretty fun to write on! My blog has a lot of articles. And it is fun to change the color of my blog every once in a while. When I came to third grade I had no idea that I was going to get a blog. The article that got the most reads is “Hi my Name is Runny”. And it is the longest article I have. I don’t really know which one got the most comments. But my favorite article is my Spring Break.



This is how you get your article on your blog. You press request publishing. And you save it then Mr. Ahlness will check and if there is anything wrong he sends you a little note and you try to fix the problems. And if you can't figure out what’s wrong ask someone for help. Or if they cant figure out what’s wrong ask an adult and they might be able to help you.



I think other people should have blogs because you can talk about things like your weekend or how to fix a problem. And people can have advice. And its just fun to have a blog! And people from other countries can communicate with you. And it is cool to have a blog.



I hope the future of my blog is…

That it will stay there for a long time so people can read it and say wow this was from a long time ago. If it stays even when I am older I can look at it and remember memories.

Good bye room 12

Good bye room 12. I am going to miss room 12 a lot. I had such a fun year. But the sad part is that I have to leave room 12. So I am going to be super sad. But all the fourth grade teachers are nice too. It is going to be really super sad that I have to leave room 12. But I will always remember this class and it will be fun to start a new grade.

My Summer!

On my mind is my summer. I am going to be doing a lot of camps, like soccer camp and drama camps. It is going to be fun! So I am very happy about my summer.
