Today in Social Studies I had a chart about the goverment! The colums were of Federal, State, and Local Goverment! It was interesting  because I learned that the Mayor plays in the Executive branch (I didn't know that). The Village Board plays as the Legislative Branch (Ididn't know that ethier). But I did know that the Village Justice plays in the Judicial Branch. So the saying you learn something new everyday is totally true! What do you think?

Hi, this is swimgirl asking what dog do you like? I love Havanese puppies! I've been researching all about dogs and my favorite was.... the Havanese. They are great with children and other animals. Did you know 30 new species were found in Papua New Guinea?? Did you? Guess what there is a 32 inch long rat! Wow thats really long! They also found 16 new frogs, three types of fish and bats. All those creatures were found living inside of an extinct volcano. I found this information in a Time For Kids Magazine.

On Sunday I went to the Van Buren Park. My dad, brother, and I went on a path and then found a clay wall. We climbed down to it. Then we started to walk farther than the path and I found a huge log that went across a deep stream I wanted to climb across it but my dad said no. Then he looked around and he saw another log closer to the ground that we could cross but the log was really skiny. My brother almost fell of. My dad held a stick on the other side long enough for us to hold on it so it would be easier to cross. The way we were going could bring us back to my house! We scurried through our cornfeilds and got lots of prickers but it was fun to adventure on the land I haven't been on before.

Don't you ever wonder how you get a paper cut? Well my mom said you get a paper cut from sliding a piece of paper across your hand fast. I still didn't understand that because paper is not sharp but my mom said its like a knife when it cuts you. Do you think thats why you get a paper cut? Have you ever wondered about that?

My article is really just about Sunday but thats part of the weekend so please don't comment that I just wrote about Sunday! On sunday my day started out normal, I went to church and then I had a swim meet (the un normal part of Sunday was the swim meet)! I had 6 events (events are what I swim at the meets). If I go through all my events it will kind of get boring, but my conclution is that I got 4 medals it was an awesome day! If you do want to know what events I swam comment me that question and I will answer your comments or please just comment me!!!!

Ok so I was eating Whipped Cream and I put it on my finger so then my brother wanted some so I put some on his finger. I forgot to put the cap on and I just left it their for a second, walking away to take my nose back from my brother (he's just 4 so I play around like i'm taking it off his nose). Then I walked over back to the Whipped Cream and I forgot to face it down to get some out so I just squeezed it and it came up on my face and clothes of couse it wasn't a lot it, didn't make a mess at all but it made me laugh.

Do you ever wish you could fly? You think that would be totally awesome! What would you do if you could fly? Would you race the birds or fly to get place to place? People would look up at you and ask how you were doing that??? What would your answer be? Or do you wish you could breath under water? Think about the things you could do! You would be able to win all the handstand contests, do as many summersaults as you wanted to until you got sick, and you could beat everyone at any race! Gills would grow on you everytime you got into the water! What would you rather be able to do breath under water or fly in the sky! Please comment and write your answer!!!

Two summers ago I was at a camp like place with my friend. When we were walking back to our cabin we were talking about nick names. I thought it would be funny if we called each other a fruit or vegetable. I called her celery because she's tall and skinny. My name was grape because that's what we thought of. Have you ever called your friend a weird name? Also we don't call each other that anymore!!!

Have you ever been to Orlando Florida? I have been twice but, I want to write about when I went swimming with a dolphin! I was 7 when I went. I was supposed to go when I was 5 but I was to young to ride a dolphin! When I went swimming with the dolphins it was more like riding the dolphin because you would hold on to their dorcle fin and they would pull you. They are so strong so they swim really fast. It was the most fun experience I have ever had. Have you ever ridden a dolphin?

My friend and I were at Target with my mom. When we got there I saw one of my friends from school. We were looking for cat food for my cat. When we were looking for the cat food we were laughing for no reason, we got a really heavy bag of Meow Mix (kind of cat food we buy) and we couldn't carry it because we were laughing so hard. My friend dropped the bag and I fell on top of her. At that time some grandmas were watching us. When we finally stopped laughing my friend said to get a new bag of cat food because in the other bag it was broken. Later on she was doing squat thrusts picking up something from the bottom shelf and putting it on the top!!

To our part of the world the food we eat is normal to us. Not to people in Madagascar, or the Philippine Islands, or even China! In one country I heard they eat guinea pigs. Here we have guinea pigs as pets! I watch a show called survivor and one of the challenges was to eat any kind of sea creature and blend it with water or milk. Here we eat turkey,chicken,steak,fish,chips,salads,ice cream,fruit,and desserts. What would you rather eat??

There are many holidays celebrated around the world. For example some people celebrate Hanukkah or Kwanzaa! We celebrate Veteran's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentines, Day St. Patrick's Day, Easter , Memorial Day and New Years. What are other holidays you celebrate? Whats your favorite holiday? Mine is Christmas because I see my family members!! There are many other holidays but I just can't think of them.

If you could pick anything to eat for breakfast what would you eat? I would pick waffles and bacon. There are so many other food People can have for breakfast like pancakes, cereal, steak, eggs, oatmeal, fruit, toast, yogurt, protein shakes. I am reading a book called Amazing Days of Abby Hayes. She wants to be a soccer star but she's not the greatest at soccer. Her sister Eva is older than her and she is really good at soccer. Eva drinks protein shakes that are made of Protein Powder, dried fruit, milk powder, protein enzymes, pineapple juice, vitamin C drink, lecithin, and raisins. Would you drink that? Abby Hayes forced herself to drink it. I would not like to drink that shake!

Where would you want to take vacation? It would be your dream vacation. I would like to go to Paris or Tokyo. It would be fun to go to places out of the continent. Would you travel to your dream place for the weather or for the culture or even the clothes. I would want to visit Tokyo for their culture and Paris for their clothes.

In the story Mrs. Parks there are letters from children asking about and commenting about Rosa Parks. Some children wrote letters saying that they're afraid of asking question. Mrs. Parks wrote back that you need to ask questions and that asking question is better than answers. Another kid wrote about how their grandmother tells her stories about the old days and Mrs. Parks told her to listen to the elders they will inspire you. Mrs Parks is very wise and caring. She shared here knowledge to people.

Tonight my oma and I made Raspberry Sorbet. You pronounce sorbet sorbay. But anyways when we made it we had to use frozen Raspberries, egg whites, sugar, and some other stuff. It turned up really yummy. It was kind of whipped like whipped cream except it was a fruity flavor. You should try it some time=http://!

Have you ever tried Eggnog? Do you like it? I just tried it do you think I liked it? Guess. I'll tell you at the end but don't cheat and right the correct answer if it was wrong, because its ok to be wrong. Well it smelled pretty good. Remember this was the first time I ever tried Eggnog so I smelled it then I asked what the chunks were, that were in the glass. It was ice cubes but they turned yellowish because of the color of the Eggnog. Here's my answer to if I like Eggnog or not. Confirm your answer now I'll tell you if I liked it or not. No I did not like it at all!!!! I don't like eggs so I didn't think I would like it and I was right I didn't!

Try this. Sit down and turn your right leg clockwise, at the same time put your right arm up and turn it counter clock wise. I told you couldn't do it! Its so hard!!!!!! I can't do it and I tried forever. But you have to try to do it longer than 1 minute. Tell me if you can do it and show me at school.

Pretty much everyone plays some kind of sport. But why do you play that sport? Why is it your favorite? Do you like ..........

Basketball, baseball, softball, swimming, soccer. tennis, skiing, running, lacrosse, dance, horse back riding, gymnastics, hockey, football, wrestling, ice skating, volleyball, or golf? If you do one of these sports its probably because you enjoy playing it. Is there any other reason? Please comment.

On February 9th I went to the Civic Center to see a show called Cirque Dreams Illumination. People in the show are really flexible and brave. They have to hang with their legs hanging down on to a something and then pick someone up! Here is what I mean! (holding each other). This is not the only thing they did but it is one of my favorite ones.

Time for kids wrote about the top 5 heaviest animals

1. Elephant: the average weight is 15,000 lbs

2. Hippopotamus: the average weight is 8,800 lbs

3. Rhinoceros: the average weight is 5,000 lbs

4. Giraffe: the average weight is 3,000 lbs

5. Water buffalo: the average weight is 2,600

These animals must be eating alot to be this heavy because a elephnat eats about 400 lbs EACH DAY!!!! I think thats crazy.

I am very excited that my pool is now open. I like to swim in it only when it is hot out because we usually don't heat our pool. So it very cold. Played in the pool over the weekend with my friend. We made up different games, and then we played them. I can't wait until I can swim in it again.
