Casey-Change the World

Article posted October 29, 2009 at 04:04 PM GMT0 • Reads 91

If I could change the world I would give food to the people around the world who don't have food. Some kids all around the world don't have food. If we could give them food, they wouldn't starve. They could live better because now they have food.

Some kids are gone even before they are 14 years old. How would you feel if you starved at the age of 10-14 and you were really ill? You wouldn't have anything to eat.

Also if I could change the world I would give houses and clothes to the poor. They are just like the kids all around the world who starve only they need places to live. I would help the hungry and poor families because every person deserves a wounderful life with food and shelter.

Each person also deserves having their basic needs met. I think if each person donated at least one item to the poor, the people receiving the items would really appreciate it. They have lived like this ever since they were little and, in my opinion, it should stop. It doesn't seem fair that some people have to live without food and shelter.

Casey-Census 2010

Article posted April 1, 2010 at 03:53 PM GMT0 • Reads 47

Census is important for many things. The information they collect is confidential. I think it is good that they don't share the information they collect with other people. Some people think the government will use this personal information against them. Census goes out every ten years.

Everyone gets census. They use the information to make funding decisions for more than $300 billion each year to make public transportation, college grant and loan programs, road and community improvements, public health services and hospitals and much more. Census goes to the United States, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa and others. The information is collected by questionnaires and confidentiality-bound census workers.
