Brittany-Change the World

Article posted October 29, 2009 at 03:58 PM GMT0 • Reads 88

If I could change one thing in our world, it would be about world hunger. Some people all over the world don't have enough money to buy food. Also there are more people that have lots of food, and they waste a lot of it. Most of the time people waste a ton of food every day.

What I would do to stop world hunger is by eating my food and with the extras I would keep them and save it for when we don't have much food in the house. Another way that I can stop world hunger is by putting all the rest of the food we do not need at all to a good cause. Like to a family that doesn't have enough money to pay for the food. A third way I will try to save world hunger is by reusing some foods that can be reused. For example, I can reuse an apple. Instead of biting into an apple and just throwing it out when you ate half of it, you can cut it up and the left overs, you keep them for the next time.

I want to change world hunger in our world because some people can't buy food to last the whole week. Sometimes it will only last a day or two. We are running out of food to feed every single family in the world. We need to start using our food wisely if we want to save world hunger.

Brittany-Census 2010

Article posted April 1, 2010 at 04:04 PM GMT0 • Reads 48

Every 10 years the government wants to know who lives in the United States. They use a count called census. They take count by giving everyone in the US a questionnaire that asks them how many people are in your household and the ages of them. The government makes funding decisions for more than $300 billion to make improvements like health services and hospitals, and also road improvements in you neighborhood.

Everyone in the United States should be counted. If your family is not counted, the government will not know what improvements to make. Some people worry that the information could be provided aginst them or people might want their privicy and they don't want the government to have their imformation. Regardless of nationality, age or gender every person in every home should be counted.
