hicking in the wilderness

Article posted November 4, 2009 at 02:41 AM GMT0 • Reads 114

I went to a park just inside Fergus and it takes about 1 hour to walk through it and we go there sometimes but not latley. Its a very woodsy park (its not really a park it has no swings and no slides.) But it has these little bridges and my mom loves working in the garden so there where these big stones and she used to bring a wagon to collect them and it was a huge pain! We would have to lug around the stones back to the car if she didnt have room in the wagon!

The things I love about winter

Article posted November 21, 2009 at 08:01 PM GMT0 • Reads 34

I love winter. Its my favourite time of the year. The things I love to do in the winter is go skating. I have figure skates because I can't skate in hockey skates,(I can barly skate in figure skates) so I go with a friend to skate or I get my parents to take me if possible. I also love to bake with my mom, we start on the first week of December and we make sugur cookies, fudge, and these sweet tart things. Right before christmas brake we usually bake ginger bread girls and men and me and my sister Laurie bring them into school to share with our teachers and classmates. Everyone usaully loves our gingerbread but I enjoy them the most... me and my family have to compete to even get one taste of ginger bread because I eat more then have of them. I love playing in the snow because when our feilds freeze up, me and Laurie go and take crates that we use for flowers and Laurie sits in it and I slide her along the ice. Since I can't fit in the crate, I just do the belly slide:) And the last thing I love about winter is my sister form university (she goes the for sience) And my sister form collage (she goes to be an artist)come home and we eat the things we made and last year Natalie (the one who wantes to be an artist) bought $30.00 worth of candy and gingerbread and we made a big gingerbread house!:):)

My family's holiday tradition

Article posted November 30, 2009 at 07:01 PM GMT0 • Reads 36

Over the Christmas holiday my sister Julie who is in her masters in sience in university-studying vacteria comes home for 2 weeks. My other sister Natalie who is in her second year of collage and she goes for art, comes home for an unknown amount of days. We dont know how long she stays for because she has to work in barry at a resturent. And my big brother is home already. For Christmas we usally sit around in the family room on Christmas eave and open one present my parents chose I should open. Then for the rest of the night we play with our gift, (usally it's a game of some sort) and wait for Christmas the next day. On Christmas day me my mom and my sister, Laurie get up early and see what we got from santa. Then my mom calls my Dad up and gets the turkey ready for the dinner that night. When we get everyone down from upstairs we open gifts, exept my brother because he usally dosn't get up till 10:00 a.m. So when he gets up we open his gift. Last year Natalie's present was to make a gingerbread house. It cost her 36.00 to get all the candy to just decorate it. And let me tell you it was worth it. I ate till I was sick. And a few day's later I would have some friends over to celebrate my Birthday. But on new years, if my aunt/uncle and cousin didnt come down on Christmas they would come on my Birthday.

Free style skiing

Article posted February 15, 2010 at 10:27 PM GMT0 • Reads 35

I am exited to watch free style skiing in the 2010 olympics. I want to watch free style skiing because the athlete I'm researching, Nathalie Bazin does free style skiing and it would be interesting on how she does in the Olympics concidering she won a gold medal in the usa selections meet and got herself a place in the top-ten free style skiiers. I think she will do very well and I'm cheering for her and the rest of the country.

My favourite Olympic winter sport

Article posted February 19, 2010 at 05:57 PM GMT0 • Reads 61

My favourite winter sport is Luge. I find it exiting when you go really fast down a large hill. After seeing that crash when a person was practising luge, it dosnt make me to exitd to try it. If they fixed the track so that if you went to fast or too high you wouldnt fall or flip off I would definetly try it soon. Anyway...BYE!
