Am I a Resiliant Person?

Article posted February 4, 2010 at 01:43 AM GMT0 • Reads 78

When life knocks you down, you get back up, right?

Well maybe not, depending on what happens can determine if you are resiliant person... Normally I am pretty resiliant to most things, but there are always those little things that make you doubt your resiliance and your determination to try and get over it.

If it's regarding people you're good really good friends with it's normally eaiser to get over as you want things to go back to the way they were, so you try to forget about it to bounce back. Normally this is how I am but sometimes there are those times you can't get over what happens, such as if a friend does something really mean/hurtful, or something to make you question the friendship you have together.

So pretty much, your resiliance depends on the situation and the people involved.

PE When It Is Raining

Article posted May 31, 2010 at 04:28 AM GMT0 • Reads 34

When it is raining in PE we normally just sit in class and talk because the teacher hasn't got anything planned, which is fair enough as he plans if we're going to be outside in the sun. But I think when the weather is like it is now (raining and miserable) we should watch a video or movie that has to do with what we are learning about in class, like at the moment we are learning about mental health so if we watched a movie that relates to any mental health problems such as I Am Sam or The Ringer (Yes, I know that isn't a serious movie but it does deal with the problems faced by mentally retarded people and what we can learn from them). But I actually have no problem with sitting around chatting because it is nice to have a relaxing period for a change rather than doing work all the time.

Stigma and Mental Health - Sam & Emily

Article posted June 10, 2010 at 03:39 AM GMT0 • Reads 34

Sam: The stigma involved with mental health is one that is unnecessary because mental health is a serious issue. As mental health is so common it is one that we should all learn about, because so many people are affected we need to know about it and what we can personally do to help. With depression affecting so many people my age it is a problem teens/adolesents should learn about

Emily: Mental health is such a big issue with adolecent teenagers and should be taken seriously by everyone.

My Perfect Moment

Article posted August 5, 2010 at 03:06 AM GMT0 • Reads 37

My perfect moment was when I was sitting on the floor at the Sydney Entertainment Centre during Lady Gaga's perfomance of Bad Romance when I threw an Australian flag on to the stage. One of her dancer's picked it up and stuffed it into a mirrored helmet that he had worn at the start of the song. As Gaga made her way back up the cat walk towards the main stage I was certain she wasn't going to get the flag, until her dancer came up behind her and draped it over her shoulders. She shouted to the crowd, "I feel like an Aussie tonight, thank you Sydney!!"

Not only did she make my night amazing, but I felt as if I made her night special too.

Untitled - Simple Plan

Article posted October 28, 2010 at 02:40 AM GMT0 • Reads 59

In the video when the impact of the car crash finally happens, there are other people that are thrown around as if they have been in the accident, this symbolises the impact that the car accident has on the people that are still livng after the crash and the effect that it has on their lives after the person that was in the crash dies.

It's a real eye opener of the effects and consequences of drink driving.
