Am I A Resilient Person ?

Article posted February 4, 2010 at 01:42 AM GMT0 • Reads 134

Well it really depends on the situation. Some things are easier than others to overcome. Sometimes I can be a resilient person, the situation has to be pretty bad for me to not bounce back within the week. The main thing is that you learn to pick yourself up and keep trying. No situation is too hard to overcome. You can't just stop living. So yes, i consider myself a resilient person.

Article posted March 4, 2010 at 01:29 AM GMT0 • Reads 34

During this lesson today, i was attending a Vocal workshop with a trained student from the Conservatorium of Music. Ms Vanderbent organised this session for a few students, it was so we could gain some self-confidence and could have a trained singer give us some 'tips' on could improve our item and make it better. We are performing in On Show in week 7, this workshop was part of our preperation.

Premier Elements 7

Article posted March 4, 2010 at 01:35 AM GMT0 • Reads 35

During this lesson, I was attending the Yr 7 Camp as a Peer Support Leader, over the 3 days the years 7's and us engaged in many exciting activities, ranging from Giant Swings, to Giant slides, Lost Island(Mud World), Kyaking and many more. On Camp, i was Photographer so i got to see many groups of students all working together and having fun. It was a great 3 days and we all came home looking farward to a sleep in on Saturday Morning.

I have however used Premier elements before and I find it pretty straight forward, it does run very slowly on out laptops though and that can become frustrating. I think we just need to be patient with it.

What to do during PE on Wet weather days

Article posted May 31, 2010 at 04:10 AM GMT0 • Reads 34

I think we could substitute our Practical and Theory Lessons, but at this time of year the weather is unpredictable, so flexibility is key, we need to find other ways of fitting in our practicals. Using the Weights room is one way, another way is combining class's and doing a group lesson in the gym (when exams arnt taking place)

What Have i Learn't about Mental Health?

Article posted May 31, 2010 at 04:14 AM GMT0 • Reads 35

I have learn't that we should except everyone, no matter how they are. Everyone is different and we all lead different lives, it is important to be able to fit in and live the same as any other individual. Also people that are affected by things like depression etc, would have to be resilient, they would have to learn to live with it and accept it and move on with life as much as they can. I think it is wrong for people to ignore them and pretend that they arn't part of society, because they very much are and have the same right as you or i do.

My Perfect Moment. . .

Article posted July 22, 2010 at 03:33 AM GMT0 • Reads 38

Well I dont believe that there could be a time where everything is perfect. What is perfect? I think everyone has an idea on what perfect may be, but does anyone truely know. I think my most perfect moment would have to be the times I spent with my Grandfather, he always supported me and told me not to be afraid to be myself and that i would always shine for the things I did and yes I would make mistakes but thats okay. We would joke and smile and have a great time. That would have to be as close to a perfect moment as I have gotten and my memories of moments like that will always be cherished.

My Generation

Article posted September 16, 2010 at 02:42 AM GMT0 • Reads 35

My Generation is currently seen as not the best, we are known for stealing things, wagging school, the ones that fall with the wrong people etc, although we can also be seen as a fairly smart generation, we have all the technology unlike others etc. I guess it depends on who you are looking at, i dont personally think people should be stereotyped into generations and what they are known to be, everyone has the right to be individuals and be seen as who they are, not just the average stereotpes.

My Perfect Partner

Article posted September 16, 2010 at 02:43 AM GMT0 • Reads 35

Well anyone could list down a billion things for what they want to see in their 'perfect partner' things like: looks, money, education etc. But is that all thats really important? My perfect partner would be a person that would support me with all my endevours, have a great personality and maybe have some interests that are similar to mine. They wouldnt have to be rich, a CEO and all that jazz. In a partnership, trust, equality and love are the three most important factors and if you have all of those then the rest is just an added bonus.

Drug Use

Article posted September 16, 2010 at 02:51 AM GMT0 • Reads 37

Everyone should have the attitude that illegal drugs are bad because they are, but unfortunatly not all people see this. Some think it is fun to try and use different things and experiment, well maybe for some it is, maybe it is okay to experiment but you have to know where the line is. Where to stop. Drugs are a thing that people very easily get addicted to and once you reach that stage it is hard to turn back, so being smart from the beggining is the way to be. Drugs affect society in so many ways its getting ridiculous. From simple things like people not realising what they are doing to their bodies and how easily it can affect others, like in a car accident for example. Teenagers in particular go off the rails and ruin their lives and it is heart breaking to some, they could have had a sucessful life but something so small and stupid can easily ruin it all. All people should be in the frame of mind that drug use is BAD and it should be steared clear of.

Untitled - Simple Plan

Article posted October 28, 2010 at 02:23 AM GMT0 • Reads 43

This Music Video and Song is trying to send the message that accidents, like car accidents affect more than just the people that are involved. It ruins so many peoples lives. The family, the friends, the collegues, It is showing people to think before you do, to consider that its not just your life that you are putting on the line. Any innocent person could get mixed up in your mistakes, and that what does happen, will stay with you forever. So the next time someone has a drink and considers driving, maybe they should think 'no i'll get a cab home, or call for a lift'

It really gets you thinking about how you should be smart when it comes to driving and you should always make sure you are in a safe situation
