What I learned is that coral lives in the depth of the water. Coral and algae need water that is the right temperature and they can be damaged easily. The Fresh water that comes from rivers can kill more then 1 coral. Heavy waves from large storms can break reefs apart.

Danger to coral reefs An atoll grows in the shape of a circle and it grows in an old sinking island. Bacterias can destroy a big reef in just in a week.

garret morgan and traffic signals

I disagree that Garrett morgan wasted his time designing signals because Mr. Morgan knew there would be more traffic problems. Traffic signals stop all the traffic for people to cross the street safely. Mr. Morgan saw that traffic was not safe. Mr. Morgan plan worked and the streets were safer for people and cars and horse buggies. Mr. Morgan was a problem solver because when he saw a problem he fix it.

I agree that plants are important because they make food that we can eat. People and animals can't live without green plants. It is sorted in their fruits and seeds we eat this stored food, and so do other animals. Plants make oxygen when they make food. Many vitamins are made from plants. Most paper is made from trees. People burn wood, oil, coal and gas. Many houses are made from wood, sticks, grass, reeds and straws.

Bunnicula

Chapter 1 - one rainy night a family found a little bunny at the movie theater and they decide to bring the bunny home. Then the Monroe family tries to name the bunny and they came up with a lots of names like Bun Bun, Fluffy and Bunnicula. Also they try to put him somewhere that he can sleep.

Chapter 2- The first night Bunnicula is awake and so is Chester and then all the Monroe family went to sleep. Also chester sees something suspicious about Bunnicula its that he has red eyes, A cape like pattern is in his fur, Also a V on his forehead and Chester is so nervous about Bunnicula.

chapter 3- Harold is so bored because there is no one that he can play with or talk with and the boys are at school and Mr. Monroe is at work and mom is in her office. Also Chester is asleep so is Bunnicula. Then the Mr. Monroe found a white tomato in the kitchen and Mr. Monroe called Pete because Mr. Monroe thought that Pete was playing with his chemistry in the kitchen. Then the mom and the other son came down with mom and then Mr. Monroe asked mom what is this and they said that looks like a white tomato to me they all said the same thing. Then they cut the tomato into two parts and it was dry with no juice.

Chester is going to read a book in the night but then Harold talks about the food he wants to eat. Then Toby wakes up and gives Harold two cupcakes which is nice and fresh and has cream in the middle. Harold ate the cupcake in just four seconds.Then Toby is reading a book named treasure island and Toby tells Harold what it talks about. Then he tells something about a parrot and he thinks its a umbrella but then Harold went like if he didn't have something to do. then he went to chester who is downstairs to ask Chester what a parrot means and he explained it so he didn't understand put he didn't even ask any questions. Harold knocked out Chester and it took Chester twenty minutes to sit in the chair. Then Chester told Harold that Bunnicula is a vampire but there is something weird because Bunnicula does not bite people in the neck Bunnicula bites vegetable.But then they go see Bunnicula's cage but Bunnicula was not in there. Then they started to fight. Then they heard a click in the kitchen. Then they went to the kitchen and it was to dark in the kitchen. Then they found a white zucchini in the kitchen.

Mr. Monroe is really funny and he is a father and has two kids named toby, Pete. The most interesting thing about Mr. Monroe is that he tried to name the bunny and Mr. Monroe said princes and nobody liked it. And he saids that how one of my dogs was named like that. The most smart thing from Mr. Monroe was that he was able to find out what a note said and Mr. Monroe was unable to read the note because it was in a unsuspicious languish.

Today we met a lot of kids in Brigantine,New Jersey and we saw them by camera and we read what we wrote and showed a color picture to them. A little girl that was 5 asked us a question and she asked where we were close to and we answer Oregon, California, and Utah and Arizona. Also a girl said that it was Justin bieber and they liked to play soccer at recess. We did Skype video-conference when we ended they waved good bye and said good bye and they said that in Brigantine, New Jersey it was 90 degrees in Brigantine, New Jersey and the 5 year old girl asked us if we lived in the desert or mountains and we answer yes and the real teacher had to go to a important conference. The kids stayed with a college student and she had to stay with them and teach them.Also a girl said that in her weekend she liked to go shopping.

 I saw a great horn owl. It was not asleep and owls hunt at night but this owl that we saw was not asleep it was awake in the day. Also the great horn owl do not turn their eyes. They turn their heads all around so they can see. They have two big eyes. They also eat skunks.

 

 

Me and my classmates saw an arctic fox. It was white with warm fur. The arctic fox tail was kind of little. She likes to eat fruits and other things. She has a bushy tail. She is also cute and soft, she was small.

First what Mr. Crosby did was put the soda cane boiling. At a hot plate and then the water was boiling. Then Christian got the soda cane with the tongs and then he turn it over so it can cover the hole. Then the steam got cold and then the air pushed in and now the air is not pushing out the same now the air is pushing in. So it can crush. So thats how it crushes.

Observation (what I saw happen):first Mr. Crosby put the tissue paper up and then put it on fire and it was slowly burning down and then the tissue paper went to the bottom and burned and then it went to the air and it went high up up up to the ceiling and it was awesome.

I live in Sparks, Nevada, and my "High Hopes" for school include learning to read

well, writing in cursive, and graduating from high school.

But my Highest Hope for school is to graduate from college .

 

 

My "High Hopes" for my community is to have more ambulances, jobs and police.

The Balloon Launch

First all the 4^th graders went out to see the balloon. Then the scientists where already putting the hydrogen on the balloon. Then after that we had to wait for a long time and I was really exited, I couldn't wait so the scientists to launch it. Then the scientists stared to put the payload there where 7 payloads put one of them was so the payloads don't move so then there were 6 payloads on the balloon. Then the 4^th graders where counting down so was I and my mom. When we where dawn to 0 the scientists letted the balloon go It went higher and higher and higher until we could not see it.Then we came in the classroom and we stared to write about what happen. When the scientists launched I did.Then The scientists launched the balloon and it was fun because we got to wave at it we couldn't see because the sun was hurting our eyes but I really liked it and it was the coolest day ever.

Where I am Going This Summer

   I'm going to california for some weeks or days. After that me and my family are going to the hospital form Nevada so we can see how is my brother's daughter and his girlfriend. Then we are going to Mexico to see my cousins, ants and uncles. Also we are going to do my birthday in mexico and all my cousins, ants and uncles are going to go to my birthday. Then we are going to go back to Elko to live there for some days. We are going to go to Nevada and live here until I finish Elementary, Meddle School, High school and College. After I pas that I will get a job.

The most interesting thing about Maniac Magee is that Maniac can run on the train tracks with out falling. The pickwell ten kids saw Maniac Magee on the train tracks and with his shoes all riped up. Maniac ate with the pickwell family. But the most amazing thing about Maniac is that he can run on the train tracks.

 

The most jaw-dropping thing is that maniac ran 200 miles and ran away from his aunt and uncle. He ran one year. With his flap-soled shoes and ripped dirty clothing. Ran when he was 11 years old. His parents died in a train crash. He was tree years old. He was born in a ordinary house across the river from the bridgeport. But the most unhappy thing about Maniac Magee is that his parent died in a train crash.

 

The most cool thing about Maniac Magee is that he love to read books. He meet Amanda Beale and she was with a suitcase full with books and he bored a book from Amanda Beale. Maniac Magee caught a football while holding a book in his hand and he caught the football and high school was playing. The scary thing about Maniac Magee is that he went on Finsterwalds backyard and went to Finsterwalds steps. The fantastic thing about Maniac Magee is that he hited a home run to John McNadd. But the main thing is that Maniac Magee reads books.

Playing A Game With My Family

I always wonder whats the coolest game? or the one I like the most well ill tell you the story about whats my favorite game is!.

Once that night at my house my family and I were there in the table playing a game we were screaming and laughing at the same time. I was kind of understanding what my parents said in spanish. In the game my bother and I were screaming for my dad to get a one because we didn't want my dad to win the game. My dad rolled the dice and wooo hooo! My dad got a one we all yelled and laughed so loud my little brother's ears almost pop out. My dad always got a one when it was his turn. Then my dad got so mad his face got so red and throw and a six but he just quieted the game.

After we stopped laughing so loud the house turned like a desert there was no music no nothing so my dad got the computer and put on some music and we ate too while we were playing. After that we kept playing until we were exhausted of playing. The game got so interesting.

my mom rolled the dice the dice rolled and rolled the dice stopped rolling a six my mom screamed a six I got a six my mom moved she got an inch close to the room. Then it was my turn I got the dice shake them at the pall of my hand shake them again and throw the dice to the bored of the game that was sitting there in the table for luck I got a six too I screamed it out loud. I got a six I win the game! I won the game because I got to the mystery. I screamed that even my voice was gone.

For luck too I got to pick up the game. The games name was clue my favorites game on the world. That was the coolest day ever in my life.

                                                             The First Time I Saw Snow

Once i was in my house i was awake and i wondered why was the house so cold. I even asked my parents if i could turn on the heater so i can be warm so my dad said yes sure and my dad kept sleeping. I went to my room grabbed my blanket and ran to the living room to see TV. Then I covered myself and turned on the TV. I heard a noise at a room I went to look at dad and he just went directly to the bathroom and from there back to the room to sleep. But I just went back to the living room and I felt the room so dark like a hunted house that are more and more dark like the night too.

I opened the curtains of the living room and just spread them I saw white things falling of the sky I opened the curtains more and more it was snowing! When I got here I always wanted to see the snow. I never thought the snow was really white so I ran outside I touched the white smooth icy snow and it was as cold as the wind blowing in your face I couldn't feel my nose, body or face.

I went inside and screamed to my mom, dad, brother and sister and they all woke up and came to the living room my dad said who wants to go to the snow and we all said “ we do ” so my dad told us to get dressed so we can go outside we all got ready and went outside. We made snow angles, throw snow balls and just throw each other.

We had to go in the house to eat breakfast I helped my mom make cookies, chocolate we all sat at the table ate happy and we even invited familiar to our house and played with them talked and we all had fun.

Going To The Fair

                   Going To The Fair

       Once I was with my family at the fair it was very cool we eat and played and ride on some rides.   

        First I got in the roller coaster I got in put on the set bell and right away I see the wavy trail across me and the people that are in charge said  “ keep your hands to yourself we are going to start now ”.   We slowly went up then we saw more parts of the wave of the trail and just right there we were tipping down and we go down so fast I couldn't see the trail we went up and down I wanted the ride to stop but it couldn't.  My mom and dad asked me “ how was the ride ” and I said “ oh so dizzy. 

      Then I said lets go to that ride and I said “ put I want my bother to come with me ” and my bother said “ OK ” in a lazy way. So we got on and the game and the games name was ! spinning cups !. We got on and first it went slow but spinning around and around you could get dizzy so then it went faster and quicker.  I was kind of relaxed and my brother was kind of asleep.  The people In charge stopped the game and we all got of most people were throwing up and I said “ ewww ”.  

        By the time we were done, it was night, the sky looked like if it was filled with lights or candles and if you looked at them you could see them sparkle, it was 6 p.m.

         so my dad said “ we have to go now ” and I said “ can we go to that ride! ” and my dad said “ yeah sure ” so we all got up and wow it was going slow so there was a wheel and we moved it and we started to move in circles and it was getting real dizzy we got off step by step we got to the car. I loved the fair it was so cool my mom and dad drove us home that was the most funnest day ever at the fair.

I live in Sparks, Nevada be respectful for the people around us. To pass elementary, high school and college. Get more supplies for more kids. To learn more to have a good carrier that I like. More money so we can have more things that we need.



My High Hopes for the community is to stop crimes so no more people loose their family's and be sad. No more gangster's so no kids get in gangs and get arrested.



My High Hopes for the world is to help all the places around the world from earthquakes and tsunamis and other things that have happened to them. To give money for people who really need it.

Balloon Chip Bag Experiment

Description: We are going to attach three balloons to the payload. One green the other one blue and one orange is and the green is at least four quarters and a half. The blue balloon is about 1 half. The orange one is filled with air. In the payload we are going to attach a bag of chips too! And the bag of chips are going to go up with the balloon Next, We will attach the two payloads to a high altitude balloon.

 

Hypothesis:

Green balloon – When the payload is attached to the balloon it will go up and go go big and bigger and then it will not burst. I think it will not burst because it is really small.

 

Blue balloon – I think the blue balloon will burst because it is half way blown up and it is a little bigger then the green one.

 

Orange balloon – The orange balloon will burst because it is the biggest and its all filled up.

 

Bag of chips – I think the bag of chips will not burst because its not filled up with air.

This is how the three balloons and the bag of chips looked like before going up!

Green balloon - What actually happened



The green balloon did not burst. The green balloon expanded and it almost covered the top of the payload. When the green balloon almost covered the top of the payload the hylium balloon bursted the green balloon got rinkley.







Blue balloon - What actually happened



The Blue balloon bursted. When it went up it got bigger and bigger and it bursted and a little nub was left.













Orange balloon – What actually happened



The orange balloon bursted and when it went up to space it was too much pressure up there inside the balloon that it made it expaned and then it bursted.







Bag of chips – What actually happened



The bag of chips did not burst but we think there is a hole in the bag because the air wasn't there when it came back to earth. We are not 100% if there is a hole but here is a picture of it.







I like this picture because it show's lake Tahoe and the darkness of space and the atmosphere and mountain with snow.
