My favorite place to read

Article posted September 13, 2010 at 09:22 PM GMT0 • Reads 68

My favorite place to read is my room. With a quite atmosphere it is the perfect place to read. Only when it quiet I will read a very good two hundred to three hundred page novel with in couple of hours. Also another favorite place of mine is my favorite of mine to read is my favorite chair which I curl up and read for a couple of hours.

Even though my room is small I have a lot of books to read. Sometimes my little sister will come in and ask me something and I will help her. Also with a big comfy bed I will lay down and read to some times I will fall asleep.

Like none other

Article posted October 8, 2010 at 09:44 PM GMT0 • Reads 37

My favorite book is Percy Jackson and the Olympians “The Sea of Monsters”. Because it is adventures because the son of posiden goes on a quest to find the Golden Fleece and save camp Half-Blood. It is exciting because he meets many new people and get in many monstrous fights with real monsters. Awesome because when he uncaps his ball point pen it becomes a three foot bronze sword. In the end Percy’s thought to be dead Cyclops brother comes and rescues them from a much bigger evil Cyclops.

The reason why I love this book so much is because it is page turning. And it makes you wonder what is going to happen next. Mind blowing awesomeness is in this book because it a fast paced and you can’t put it down. Every page is exciting, with new things ready to happen on every page. The suspense of waiting to read what’s going to happen next

Heroic Heros

Article posted February 18, 2011 at 02:38 AM GMT0 • Reads 37

One of the heroes I picked was Percy Jackson Who lives in upstate New York. He lives in the modern day. He is also a male demi-god form Percy Jackson and the Olympians the lightning thief, sea of monsters, titans curse, battle of the labyrinth, and the last Olympian. He also a student at camp half-blood.

The reason he is a hero is because he travels the country on quests and kills monsters. His only weapon is a magic sword that transforms into a ball point pen when he is not using it. He also has the power of water to drown monsters, protect himself and heal himself. During his quests he saves a lot of lives by killing the monsters he finds.

Another hero I picked is Ralph from lord of the flies. He and 12 other boys were in a plane crash and are stranded on a desert island in the middle of the ocean. He is calm, cool, and level headed unlike the other boys. He helped the boys by building shelters, and hunting for food.

The reason Ralph is a hero is because he keeps most of the 12 kids alive and level headed. He also keeps them from going crazy. He keeps them from joining the bad tribe. He lit the entire forest on fire to save their lives

The last hero I picked is Jason son of Zeus. Jason has amnesia throughout the book, because the queen of the gods has wiper his memory clean. He is sent on a quest to find her and regain his memory. He then finds out that he is a roman demi-god. After he has completed his quest to find her.

He is considered to be a hero because he rescues a god. He often rides a bronze dragon across the country. He defeats giants and monsters and uses the power of lightning to do it. He also kills the giant that is holding the queen of the god’s hostage.

Villainess Villains

Article posted February 18, 2011 at 02:39 AM GMT0 • Reads 35

The first villain I chose is Luke Son of Hermes. He is in all of the Percy Jackson books. This takes place in modern day upstate New York. He also has his own monster army to take over the world with.

The reason he is a villain is because he had his mind twisted by a titan. And that titan would be none other than the king of the titans Kronos. Luke befriended Percy to try to trap him in the underworld and then try to rule the world. But he failed and tried to kill him with a pit scorpion the most poisons Greek scorpion around.

The second villain I chose is Jack Meridoo. From the book lord of the flies. This takes place in the mid 1900’s. He went sort of crazy and tried to take over the whole island. He used his hunters to kill every one he saw that wasn’t on his side.

Jack wanted to become the supreme ruler of the island. In order for that to happen he needed to kill everyone on the island. He raided the other boy’s camp and stole food and water and their fire making tool Piggy’s glasses. In an attempt to kill Ralph he set the entire forest on fire which ended up getting the boys that were alone rescued.

The last villain I chose was Kronos. In all of the Percy Jackson books. This takes place in modern day new upstate New York. He twisted Luke’s mind and made him evil, Kronos also made Luke’s monster army.

The reason he is a villain is because he uses everyone for his dirty work until he reforms. The only way he can reform is when he has an army of demi-gods, mortals, monsters, ect. But he has to have a demi-god host body before he can reform completely. Luke gave his was the host body for Kronos until he reformed again.

Taylor And Apollo

Article posted April 1, 2011 at 02:45 AM GMT0 • Reads 127

Once upon a time there was a man named Taylor walking down the streets of Greece. While walking he heard the most beautiful music he had ever heard. As he walked over he realizes it cane none other than Apollo. When Taylor bows and says “what can I do to help you lord Apollo”. Apollo says “my sun chariot has been stolen and I want you to get it back for me”. So Taylor says “I accept this quest but I am unarmed, were will I find a sword and shield”. “I think you’ll find what you are looking for if just turn around” said Apollo.

So Taylor turns around and found a man with a sword and shield in hand and asks Taylor to take them. As Taylor took the sword and shield he turned around and found that Apollo was gone. Taylor Knew where to find the Minotaur he would be located in Athens. So after many days traveled Taylor Finally found Athens but the Minotaur was nowhere to be seen. After looking for hours Taylor found the Minotaur entering the temple of Athena with the sun chariot in hand. So Taylor charged in and found the Minotaur putting the sun chariot on the sacrificial alter and that would make Athena angry. So Taylor charged but the Minotaur herd him and Taylor stopped and dodged his attack and slashed off his horn now the Minotaur was enraged. Then charged Taylor but Taylor was quick and jumped up and stabbed him in the back which killed the Minotaur.

So Taylor rode the sun chariot back to Greece were Apollo was waiting for him and the safe return of his sun chariot. When Taylor landed Apollo said “for your good deed I will grant you one wish”. So Taylor thought and thought and finally came up with an idea. Taylor said “the sky is really dull I wish for something to brighten up the sky when water and sunlight combine. So Apollo kept his word and made a colorful ribbon of light that spread across the entire sky and Apollo called it a Rainbow.

The moral of the story is if you do something nice for someone you might get something in return.
