My favorite place to read

Article posted September 13, 2010 at 09:32 PM GMT0 • Reads 64

One place I like to read is my room. I like to lie down on my bed with a good book in hand. With the door closed and nothing but the light from the window, I read. Also when I read I like to have the fan blow cold air in my room because it gets really toasty in there very easily.

I don’t just read in my room, I’ve read in other places like outside, my couch, in a BIG chair, or even on the floor using my dog as a pillow. All these places I find comfortable but I think my bed is the best out of them all. Others might think that a tree is and amazing place to read but I just don’t think I could read the tree bark stabbing me in the back, I just doesn’t seem nice.

But anyway I read much but when I do I head straight for my bedroom.

Like None Other

A book like none other, one book I’d read if I had no access to any other book. If I had to choose it would be “Found” by Margret Peterson Haddix. This book is a great start to an amazing series. Found is about two kids, Jonah and Chip, that are “Found” by people from the future and find out they were from different time periods as well as others. Jonah and Chip convince the people from the future to help fix time.

I like this book in many was. I like it for the plot and the personalities of the characters. But probably the biggest reason I like this book is for the suspense of the story. There is no telling what will happen, the feeling of not knowing what will happen next is just amazing. Follow the adventure of the kids in this thrilling story

my vacations

Article posted February 18, 2011 at 10:25 PM GMT0 • Reads 289

I would take a vacation in the book “Among the Hidden” at Luke garners house were his family lives. Out in the forest were nobody could bother you, and were you would be in total peace. I would also choose this place because I love the forest its exciting to wonder around amongst all the trees because you don’t know wait you’ll find. This is why I would visit this setting.

Among the hidden is a great book for people who love mysteries and adventures. This book is all about third children and their fight to become legal in a world that doesn’t allow them. The story centers around a boy named Luke who is a third child, being raised by his family in a house in the woods so that nobody would find him. Luke loved to play with his two brothers Mark and Mathew outside, until he was told to stay in side at all times since the woods were being torn down, and in its place new houses. Luke would now have to be even more careful so that no one will see him from the other houses. But the odd thing is, after everyone leaves, Luke sees some one else in the house across the street.

Another book I would want to go visit would be the second book to Among the Hidden, Among the Imposters. This book is set in a school type environment. But a little different it’s a school in the middle of nowhere with no windows and no way out except the big door in the front of the school. This place would be interesting to see but a little unordinary.

Among the imposters is the second part of Luke garners life as an illegal third child. After the first book Luke gets sent to a school and gets a new name “Lee Grant”. Luke or Lee is now at a school with a bunch of freaks and delinquents but after a while Luke starts to notice that there is something different about this school there is no windows and there is only one way out, the front door witch one day Luke finds open.

The next book would have to be from the same series, the fourth book, Among the Barons. In this book one of the setting s is the school, but then there’s a gigantic mansion. I would love to visit the mansion because it has an indoor basketball court and each room is huge, probably as big as a hotel lobby. I mean who wouldn’t want to stay at a place with fancy chandeliers, marble floors, and the place is like four story’s high. This place would be amazing.

Among the Barons is about Luke Garner/ Lee Grant and his life at an all buys school. But after a few weeks of finally setting in Lee grants (the person Luke got his new identity from) little brother Smits comes to visit. Smits stays with Luke for a while, but just a while isn’t enough for Smits. “Lee” is then asked to come home to the mansion. Luke has no choice but to go with the kid. After the first night at the mansion the parents come home meet Luke. But after that something happens to the chandelier, and the parents don’t survive.

These are the three settings that I would like to visit all of them from different books, and all of them unique. I would definitely recommend this series of books, there an extraordinary read. Among the Hidden is the most exciting book ever.
