My Favorite Place to Read

Article posted September 13, 2010 at 09:31 PM GMT0 • Reads 57

My favorite place to read is on my front porch. I really like reading on my front porch because I have a couch out there and I can sit on and get comfortable, sit back, and just read. It also stays warm on my front porch in the winter and it stays cool in the summer. The only time it gets hot or cold on my front porch is when I open a window or if someone opens the door. Most of the time, our front porch is a quiet place so I sit there and read for 2 hours or more. I really like reading books about mysteries when it’s dark outside and I can just picture things in my mind while its dark. Sometimes I read on my front porch at night and my eyes get really dreary and I fall asleep. My porch is a very comfortable place to read and I will read there until I can’t read anymore.

Like None Other

There are lots of books that I have read and there is one that I liked the most. The one that I liked the most was The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. It is a very fun and interesting book to read because it has all of the stories of them. There are about 5 to 7 books of those stories all in one book. I like reading that book because it’s long and has great descriptions of what’s happening in the story. In one of the books that I was reading there was a war between two people and their armies. One army had animals that could talk such as rhinos, lions, and cheetahs. The lion was the leader of that army and they also had 5 humans on their side who became the kings and queens later in the book (Peter, Edmond, Suzan, Lucy, and Prince Caspian). In another story they were fighting against Prince Caspian’s uncle who took over their castle. The first time they fought them, they tried to sneak into the castle and attack them while they were sleeping but it didn’t work because there were people watching and they got caught and had to fight head on with them. They fought them another time and they finally won their castle back after their king, Aslan, came back and helped them win the war. At the end, the real people (Peter, Edmond, Suzan, and Lucy left and went back home to the real world. Prince Caspian stayed because he was there since he was born.

I like this book because my mom use to read it to me a lot when I was little and I just always read it again when I have time. Another reason I like this book is because I like reading books about wars and this book is about wars. Finally, I like this book because its fiction and I really like reading fiction books because it’s a surprise about what’s going to happen in the story. The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is a very good book, you should try reading it.
