Making Connections

Making connections is relating your reading to what you already know.

Making connections helps you link what you already know with what is new in the text.

I’ve read a book that had a box hidden in a wall called A GHOST IN THE FAMILY . This is just like MYSTERY OF A BOX IN THE WALL , were they find a box hidden in the family.

The book"The Family Treasures,"is almost the same as the book "The Box Hidden In The Wall,"because there is a time capsule in both of them.

The Gingerbread Wolf

Article posted March 3, 2011 at 04:58 PM GMT0 • Reads 175

Once there lived an old woman. Her hair was in tangles, and her dress was covered in dirt. She lived in an old house up on a hill. One day she wanted to bake a gingerbread wolf. When it was done she put it on the table to cool. She didn't notice that one of her cemestry tubes spilled on the table. When she came back the gingerbread wolf was up running around! She chased him all around the house, but then she tripped over the leg of a chair and broke her hip."You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Wolf!" he said over his shoulder, then he ran out the door. The Gingerbread Wolf ran all the way to the river. There he met a fox."I could help you  get to the other side of the river," said the fox."Sure," said the Gingerbread Wolf. So the fox helped the Gingerbread Wolf across. When they got to the other side, they both noticed that they were hungry. So the fox decided tried to eat the Gingerbread Wolf, but when the fox opened his mouth the Gingerbread Wolf swallowed him whole!
