The Ghost named Jon

Article posted October 26, 2010 at 08:51 PM GMT0 • Reads 285

Once upon a time there was a ghost named Jon. Jon loved to scare people. One time he scared a kid so bad that he wet his pants.

Meanwhile there was this kid named Phil and he didn’t believe in ghosts. But the kid that wet his pants said “Why don’t you believe in ghosts they’re real”, but Phil didn’t believe him so he went back home and thought about what the kid said.

But then Phil got an idea. “I know I can catch this ghost and make millions, maybe billions of dollars” But then he thought about this ghost. “How will I do it?” He sat and thought for the whole night.

It was Halloween night and everyone was out trick-or-treating except Phil. He was getting ready to catch the ghost.

He thought were the ghost might be. And you want to know where the ghost was, he was in Phil’s house, in the basement, and want to know where Phil went first, to the basement!

When he got to the basement, he kept the lights off so he could see the ghost better.

And when he looked in the closet….. Boo! He screamed and ran upstairs!

The Turkey That Almost got eaten on Thanksgiving

Article posted November 18, 2010 at 08:44 PM GMT0 • Reads 259

Once upon a time there was a turkey named Ed. Ed had a mom and one brother named Gary. He didn’t have a dad because his dad got eaten on the Thanksgiving the year before Ed was born.

One day they moved to Idaho and lived on a farm. It was October 31, 2010 and the turkeys were starting to get worried because Thanksgiving was in November and that’s when they would get eaten.

It was two days before Thanksgiving and the turkeys where trying to make a plan so they wouldn’t get eaten. Gary suggested that when they're about to get killed they should try to jump out of the yard but they didn’t think that was a good idea. Then Ed suggested that they should sneak out at night, and they thought that was a really good idea.

It was one day before Thanksgiving and the turkeys had their plan already. Gary felt kind of nervous and said “I feel kind of nervous about this plan”, but Gary said “It will be fine".

It was Thanksgiving evening and the owner of the turkeys came out to kill the turkeys but things weren’t going the way the turkeys planned it, so Ed said “squawk” and jumped all around and kicked the owner in the face and they all escaped.

The Ginger Bread Boy

Article posted December 16, 2010 at 09:06 PM GMT0 • Reads 319

Once upon a time there was a ginger bread boy named Tommy. Tommy had a brother named Nathan and a sister named Cathy. Tommy was very lonely. One day they moved to Ginger bread land.

Then one day Tommy went out for a walk and no one was to be seen. Then Tommy saw a ginger bread man just like him and then Tommy shouted out, “Hey you” and then the ginger bread man turned around and said “Hello there what is your name?” “My name is Tommy”, he replied. “What’s yours?” “Larry” “Do you want to come play with me?” “Yes I would love to!”

So Tommy and Larry went out to go play. That night Tommy was very excited to have a friend.

The next day Tommy went to Larry’s house and he knocked on the door knock, knock, knock…...... No one was at the door so he went out looking for him. And he went to the field, but he wasn't there either but then he heard a noise. “Help!” Tommy ran and found Larry but he didn’t look the same, he was half eaten and one of his eyes was gone. Tommy said, “What happened to you?” “I got half eaten by a human. I tried to get away but I just couldn’t” “But you can’t die, you’re my best friend and you’re the only thing I have”. And so that’s how the story ends.

My Resolutions

Article posted January 7, 2011 at 07:24 PM GMT0 • Reads 251

My first resolution is to read every day for 30 minutes no matter what because there are important things to read about.

And my mom thinks it’s better to read than watch television. And reading is good for you. And you can learn about things.

My second resolution is to play out side more. Because if I don’t play outside more I could turn REALLY LAZY! And it’s fun to play outside.

How to use an XO

Article posted March 11, 2011 at 07:15 PM GMT0 • Reads 236

Hi I’m going to teach you how to use an XO. It’s easy to use but I recommend for starters like you to get help.

Well, first you turn on the XO. Next you wait for it to load up. Then I suggest that you look at your battery. After that you should check your neighborhood. Finally you can play a game, and my favorite game is Speak so you should try it out, it’s pretty fun.

Remember never turn off the power to turn it off, you go to the home page and go to the center of the X and it will say Shut Down. Always exit your activity by pressing Ctrl Q.

Good luck on your XO. In our class we have 29 XO’s in room 12.

The Stolen Bike

Article posted March 22, 2011 at 08:41 PM GMT0 • Reads 285

Once there was a boy named Joe. Joe liked many things but the thing he liked the most was his bike, it was his first bike he ever had. He loved his bike. He got it for Christmas in 2010 from his Grandma. He would probably ride his bike two hours every day.

The next day he went to the park with his bike. When he went home he didn’t have his bike. He remembered that he forgot it at the park. He ran to the park to get his missing bike. When he got to where he had it last it wasn’t there. He was depressed because he only had one bike and he liked his bike a lot and then Joe shouted out, “No” and started to cry.

The next day he went looking for his bike and said to himself, “Where could my bike be.” and right after he said that he saw a mean looking robber running away with his bike. Joe then shouted, “Hey You” and then the robber looked back and kept running and then Joe ran after him and the robber kept running away. Joe was angry. Joe ran as fast as he could and was getting near. Joe then got to tired to run but the robber kept running away. Joe went home and told his mom about everything and his mom called 911.

The next day they found the robber and Joe got his bike back. He was very happy.

My weekend was awesome. On Saturday my friend came to my house and we played some video games for a while. Then we went outside to play basketball. Then we decided that we wanted to go to here to play basketball so my friend and I walked here to play some basketball. Then we went back to my house and played some more video games.

Then my cousin came to my house because he was bored. Then my brother came back from baseball practice and we did nothing. Then my friend left. Then I went to spend the night at my other friend’s house. On Sunday I had a soccer game and we won 4-0 Then I went home and did nothing.

My Young Author’s book is coming along pretty good actually. I might add some more articles, but I don’t know what to write about, I could write about a lot of things.

April 7, 2011

Today what’s on my mind is I hope we watch a video when Ms. Quigley comes to talk about bullying. I hope we have enough people to go outside today for spelling because we only have 15 people done and we need 15 done! I hope we get to go in the gym today.

I wonder what we’re doing in music today. I wonder what I got in my lunch today. I wonder what we’re doing in science today.

April 8, 2011

Today I might go to the mariners opening game, but if I don’t my friend might come over. On Saturday I don’t really know what I’m going to do. On Sunday I have a soccer game.

The MSP

The MSP

Well, I thought that the reading MSP was easier than I thought. The part that I didn’t like the most was the ones where you had to read those short stories, for some reason I don’t really know why I don’t like it. My favorite was the multiple choice questions. Nothing was really that hard. I just thought that it would be.

Well, the math MSP was easier than I thought. I thought there would be more multiplication and division in the math MSP. I was expecting a lot of bar graphs but there was only a few.

I thought that the math MSP was way easier and shorter than the reading MSP.

Field Day

Article posted June 14, 2011 at 07:11 PM GMT0 • Reads 361

Well I don’t really care if I lose or not because I just want to have fun but the only thing that I’m competitive at are musical chairs. Last year I came in second in musical chairs and this year I hope I come in first. I’m only sometimes competitive because when someone wins and brags I get a little frustrated. I'm usually a little more competitive when I'm playing sports I want to win because I came in first in my baseball league.

I like spelling because it's not that hard and it's kind of fun and when you're done you can go outside and you can go on a computer.

Favorite Field Trips

Article posted June 16, 2011 at 07:12 PM GMT0 • Reads 633

My favorite field trip this year is when we went to Chinatown because I got a lot of samples. We got to see how all the noodles were made and we got to go to Uwajimaya. I loved the food at Sun ya expecially the chicken. We got to go to the fortune cookie factory and the fortune cookies were good.

My all time favorite field trip is Franz Bakery because I got to go with my dad. The bread was super good and I liked how the bread was made and it was just super fun.
