The Beautiful Side of my City Karachi

Given the option between writing about the beautiful side and the dark, hostile side of our city Karachi, I and my group members chose to do our research work on the beautiful aspects of our city as unfortunately, they are limited in number and deserve to be admired.

I, the group leader, have distributed tasks amongst my group members: Naiha Khan, Munazza Jabbar, Sakina Zoaib and Talha Chachar. I will be working on the Wetland Centers; Sakina on the Entertainment Centers; Munazza on the shopping Centers and Steel Town; Talha on the coastal regions of Karachi and the Museums of Karachi; Naiha on the Parks and Food varieties.

Hope our effort and research work lives up to the standard required.

Key to Happiness

Article posted March 1, 2011 at 09:33 PM GMT0 • Reads 66

1st March'2011

Reading an article on finding the key to happiness and to avoid suffering, I learned that we must understand how the mind works and use that understanding to bring our mind under control. Only in this way can we improve the quality of our life, both now and in the future.

Its easy to say that there are more problems and greater misery in our world today than ever before. When things go wrong in our life and we encounter difficult situations, we tend to regard the situation itself as the problem, but in reality whatever problems we experience come from the mind. If we were to respond to difficult situations with an optimistic approach, the problem would no longer seem like a problem, it would appear to our mind as a challenge for growth and learning. If we perceive a difficult situation with a pessimistic or negative mind, problems will arise. In conclusion, if one desires to live a happy life, he/she must learn to control his/her state of mind.
