SHARKS

SHARKS!!!!!

Me and my aunt went swimming at Lake Tahoe, Kings Beach. As we were swimming, we went deeper and deeper into the water.

Then before we knew it, we were surrounded by SHARKS!!! They took us underwater. It was AMAZING. They were really nice though. It was strange that we could breathe underwater. It turns out that we turned into sharks. Now it was really getting weird.

We went to their underwater cave. It was full of sharks; Big sharks, little sharks, fat sharks, skinny sharks, fast sharks, slow sharks, even sharks that don't look like sharks.

We swam with sharks for the whole day. When we were leaving, we waved goodbye. We turned human as soon as we got out of the water. We went to tell my mom and she said “you have a crazy imagination”. But she still didn't believe me even though I was telling the truth.

Mother And Daughter Time

Article posted November 3, 2011 at 11:07 PM GMT0 • Reads 204

It was late one afternoon around four o'clock, that my mother and I baked an apple pie. My little brother was asleep and my step-dad was working. My mother cooked a good dinner and decided to bake a pie. She asked me to help her. I helped by passing the ingredients one by one, pouring them into the bowl. I got to pour the mixed ingredients into the pie pan. Baking the pie was really fun. Just me and my mom. Just like mother and daughter time. I really hope my mother and I bake another pie together some other time.

My Pencil Life

Quetzalli

I was laying in my usual spot next to Quetzalli’s books, when suddenly I felt Quetzalli’s warm hand on me, at that point I knew she was going to use me to write this story. Hello people, I’m Justin the pencil and I’m going to tell you about my pencil life. When Quetzalli writes and my lead comes off I know not to worry, it’s normal for lead to come off of a pencil. When she sharpens me, it’s like she’s taking me a shower. It makes me feel fresh, clean and loved. When it comes to letters and punctuations I feel like a kid at the fair riding rides, for example the Ms and Ws are my favorite letters because when she does them I go up and down like a roller coaster. But sometimes it hurts when she does a period because she presses down hard. When she earses something it’s like giving me a fresh haircut every time. I love it and it tickles. I feel proud every time I earse the mistakes. I guess she’s done with this story because I’m back to my usual spot near the books, I feel tired but proud. I feel like I did my job correctly.

A Mesoamerican Civilization

Article posted February 7, 2012 at 11:01 PM GMT0 • Reads 331

To me the greatest thing about A Mesoamerican Civilization is that the Aztec Civilization was the last greatest civilization in Mesoamerica. They grew maize, beans and other crops. They constructed monuments, ceremonial centers and pyrmids. They built a great empire. They were astronomers, mathematicians, priest, and farmers. Aztecs based their economy on farming. But to me the major thing about A Mesoamerican Civilization is that the Aztec Civilization was the last greatest civilization.

A member of the squirrel family are the Chipmunks. Chipmunks often dig burrows to live in. They can be reddish-brown to gray with light and dark stripes on their tail, on the side of their faces or across their back. They gather food generally. They eat berries, grain, insects, seeds, fruit, and nuts. Some of their predators are coyotes foxes, snakes, hawks and weasels.
