School so far



I sit in the closest seat to the door. I always do the door and lights. It is a hard job. Sometimes I wake up at 7:00.

The day was almost over. There was a black cat on my window. It was a girl. "The cat is the key." An old man said. I said "What! That doesn't make sense. You'll see." I left. The cat opened the door. I said, "I see. The old man is tricking me.The cat is my old cat." I said, "I missed you Fluffy!" The end.

Layla’s Ghost

Once upon a time there was a girl named Layla. She was eight years old. She was always talking to someone that nobody could see. She said his name was Jake. He was a ghost she said. He was her age. She was the only one that could see him. They were best friends. They were always talking to each other on Halloween. They had been together for eight Halloweens. Layla wished Jake could be around more.



They met in Layla’s first house. She has lived in eight houses. They move every year because their mom was a trapeze artist in the circus. She flew all over the world. Jake went everywhere Layla went. He kept track of everywhere her mom’s circus went. Jake's favorite thing about Layla moving all the time was he got to see the world. Layla didn’t like it as much because she had to make new friends all the time.



On their eighth Halloween together Jake got hurt. He fell when they were out trick or treating together. They went every year together. This year they dressed up as husband and wife. Only Layla could see Jake's costume. People thought it was weird that she was dressed as a wife with no husband. Layla didn’t care, she knew he was with her. When it was time for him to go on Halloween a miracle happened. The train was full. They got to spend the whole year together. Every year after that they went to the train and it was full. They lived happily ever after and were always best friends.

Costume Turkeys

It was November 15, 2003, it was almost Thanksgiving. There were 8 turkeys and two groups. The ones that were never close to being eaten and the ones that were close to be eating. There are four in each group. We all live in a run down costume shop. The turkeys that were never close live on one side and the ones that are close live on the other side. The names of the ones that are close are me, my name is Layla, Lizz, Lorn, and Lin. The turkeys that never got close names are Turkey Pot, Turkey Rop, Turkey mop, and Turkette.



Now it all began the day the family went shopping for food. It was a cold fall day. And the turkeys knew it was that time again. They had to make a plan to get off the chopping block. They couldn't think of anything. They started to PANIC!



As usual the turkeys that weren't even close were not paying attention to the plan. On the other hand I made a plan that would save us all. Lin, Lizz, and Loren thought the plan was crazy. But they had to try. They had to dress up like famous celebrities. It had to be two turkeys per costume because they were too small. Layla and Lorn chose Katy Perry. Lizz and Lin chose Lady GaGa.



The plan worked. They were all safe for another year. They had another year to talk everyone into chicken for Thanksgiving.

Sledding With Friends

It was 2010 winter break. I was at my cousins Chloe and Jacob's house. We were going sliding with Chloe’s friend Taylor and her cousin. He was my about my age. We went to the hill right by their house. A couple feet a way. They lived by the junction. We ran into a girl named Bailey, she is in my class. She was with her brother and grandparents.



She was only allowed on the side with a post to stop her. So we tried to ride on the sled together on the side that she was allowed. It worked! We could stop it. When she was allowed to go on either side. We went by ourselves for a little and then we went on the same sled. And the first couple times we did it It worked. Like the fifth time we did it. Boom! We couldn't stop it. We went all the way across the road. Good thing there were no cars. When we got up the hill we didn’t go in the same slide any more.



When Chloe and me got tired her mom took us back to Chloe’s house. We had hot coco and watched a movie. Then we went to her room and watched TV and laid down in her bunk bed. We did a boys against girls. Because Jacob had his friends over. We all had a great time. Then it was time for bed. We had a sleep over. Girls in one room and boys in the other. The next morning we had a snow fight on the trampoline. The end.

My resolution and wish

My resolution for the New Year is that I will perfect my one foot ice skate on both feet.

I am in basic 3, it is harder than basic 2. The reason I want to perfect my one foot skate is

that I would like get to basic 4. I will go to the ice skating rink when ever I can.



My wish is that the rain forest will be treated more nice and they will stop cutting down the trees. Because the rain forest needs to be respected more. Plus the animals need to have a home for their safety.

I am going to my grammas house. She lives far away. We will play board games like Crazy 8s, Go fish, Old Maid, and Pay Day. We will cook and play. I will sleep in and watch TV. We will play a game that I made up called restaurant. If it is hot enough I will go swimming in their pool.

A day with science

 On Wednesday we went to the Pacific Science Center. It was fun. We went to the Laser Show. But first we went to the Planetarium show. We went to the Butterfly house was my seccond favorite. But I liked all the Exhibits.

I am so cold. We just had a fire drill. I am glad it was fast. We had to go outside in the pouring rain. But last night was the worst. I had soccer parties in the snow.

At  Arbor Heights we have special day called Young Authors day. The whole shcool  writes a book. This year my book was  all the stories so far on my blog. You will find a link to it in this  story. We did the illustrations with water colored pencils.Cilck Here to see this book.

 

Earth Day

I liked that we got to go to different classes, like rooms 22, 9, and different grades like 3^rd and 5^th grade. But that is not the reason I am talking about this. I am talking about this because more people need to remember “Earth Day”. You should try the “Earth Day” grocery project. If you live in Seattle go to the Roxbury Safeway on “Earth Day” Sunday April 22. You could get a bag that Arbor Heights School made from one of the kids or a teacher. They are free

Chinatown

On the way to Chinatown we saw a restaurant called Pyramid. It was also our friend Samantha's first time in downtown Seattle. Finally we got to Chinatown. Oops I forgot something. We had to have a parent chaperone driver there and whoever your chaperon was you had to ride in the car with them. My chaperone was Lucas's mom. The people in my group where Ja’nathan, Samantha, Me, Lucas and Jonathan.



When we got there we went to the store Uwaiajmaya. It was fun. But we didn't get to buy anything. We saw the seafood first. Then we saw fortune cookies. There were flavored ones. My group saw these glass balls and knives that cost 100-1000$. we also saw teas, cool mugs, and went to the toy section of the store. At one point we found the book store. It was cool. First, we looked at the chinese/japanese picture chapter books. Then we went to the upstairs of the book store. It was cool. You could see the whole book store. Did I mention the sticker wall, there were like 400 stickers pages. Cool right.



Then we went to the fortune cookie factory. We got a personal tour. It was cool. First, we saw how they make the rice noodle. They are wheat free. Second, we saw how they make their regular noodles. We ate some fresh ones dry. After, that he told us the trick to making noodles. First, you boil. Then you put the nodles in. Aftert another 7-10 minutes you throw them at the wall and if it sticks it is ready. Finally we saw how they make their fortune cookies. We had some flat ones and some folded ones. The company also makes flavored ones.



After that, we went to the restaurant Sun Ya. It was delicious. There was a chopstick contest and we won and so did two other groups. I sat on our forks so that no one at our table would use them. We took no bites with the forks at our table. I tried tea for the first time. It was good. Mr. Ahlness was at our table. It was so fun but finally we had to leave.



Then we went to the park. I played on the bars and it was fun. I had no idea that it would be so fun. But at one point I got bored so that's what happened at the park.

The change

This is our 12 time changing desks. We never do the same partner twice, it is cool. I have sat next to 12 out of  20. My first partner was Landyn. Try his blog and look at it for a little. After we swiched the first time My partner on the first week hit me in the face with a racket in gym but that is a another story.  



We spend 3 weeks with our partners. It is shorter than the other class is.

My first girl parter was Esme. She was super nice.  I sat with boys most of the year which wasn't so bad. Changing desks is really fun because you sit  with new people and get to know them. I sat next to all my best friends already except one.

I will miss you

This is my last article. I am not going to write more. But after this I am going to start my blog with my famly I hope. After the 25 of June we cannot write any more so it is sad .  Please come back and keep reading, you can still leave a comment so please do. I think if you really want to start a blog you just need some help from a teacher or patience. My blog was the best thing that happened to me so far.  So this is the end. It is really. If you read this try not to be as sad as me if you can.
