Ms. Bailey's accident

Article posted October 5, 2006 at 09:12 PM GMT0 • Reads 197

On Tuesday night at about 6:00, my friend (Riley2)

called me and told me that Ms. Bailey got in an accident. "Did she die?" I said in horror. "No", said Riley2 "They are going to put her in an ambulance and take her to the Hospital, though."

"How long do you think she'll be in the Hospital?"

"I think she'll be there until Tomorrow." she said. "Why do they have to bring her in the Hospital?" I asked, "They want to make sure she didn't break her neck." She said, "We'll see if Mr. Ahlness will tell more about it, Tomorrow." I said,"Yeah." And he did talk about her getting in an accident and it turned out that she is home, but she has a broken arm.

Getting Annie

Article posted October 11, 2006 at 08:36 PM GMT0 • Reads 195

I remember when I got my cat, Annie, it was a Monday night and I was eager to get a kitten because my Dad said earlier that day we could look at the shelter that night. So we did, we looked at the shelter, we looked at the kittens, and we saw a kitten that we liked, but we found out that we that we couldn’t get it because somebody already filled out the papers for her. While we were looking at other kittens, my dad and my little brother saw this black and white two-year-old cat that was purring at my dad and my little brother while my mom was filling out papers for my cat I was going to get, my dad came and got me. When I saw how much she wanted to live with us, I had to bring her home! So, my dad said we could! My mom just adored her. And a lady said that she loves Annie and wanted her, too, but, she was already getting a kitten.

One of the ladies there let us in a room to see how we reacted with us, and she let us have her! So when we got in the car, I thought I need to name her! I thought about a name and I thought Annie, her name should be Annie! When we got home, she went right to my room and fell right to sleep on my bed. I knew that we were going to be best friends forever! And ever since that night, Annie has been sleeping with me!

I LOVE Lopez Island. My Grandma and Grandpa own a cabin up there. It is great because when my Granpa bought it he found stuff in the back like trees and bushes and all kind of stuff, so he found places where trees weren't by and he put it down with his 4-wheeler and he has made little roads that we can walk through. And Deer live there and Turkeys and even Bunnies!

A Funny Halloween

A Funny Halloween

~1~

A Crazy Halloween Dream

One night Elizabeth had this crazy Halloween dream. She was dreaming that she dressed up as cheese and she couldn’t see anything. Her friends had to help her go to doors for Trick-Or-Treating. She thought it was a nightmare. But then she woke up. ”Oh, thank god!” She said.

~2~

A Funny Halloween Party

Elizabeth’s friend (Isabella) was having a Halloween party the Saturday before Halloween. “There’s gonna be fake eyeballs and blood!” She said. “Wow!” Elizabeth said. “Cool! I can’t wait!” ” I know!”

That next Saturday was Isabella’s party. Elizabeth couldn’t wait! She wanted to be at her Isabella’s Halloween Party right now! But she knew she had to wait.

The next day was busy! Elizabeth was really busy getting her Halloween costume ready. She was going to be a witch. She was busy getting her hat to stay on her head. She was trying to get her dress on and finally, she got herself ready so her Mom drove her. She got there and she saw all of her best friends. And there was fake blood and fake eye balls there. Elizabeth still didn’t want to eat it. She saw Isabella. “Hey! Isabella!” Isabella was eating the fake eyeballs. “You should really try this, Elizabeth!” “No! That’s okay!”

Later on Isabella’s sister (Serena) tied up Elizabeth in toilet paper and Elizabeth looked like she real mummy! (They where trying to make it like they where a real mummy.)

There was a Haunted house, too. Elizabeth wasn’t scared, though. To her, it was a little funny.

~3~

The Class Room

The next day, Elizabeth went to school. Her classroom looked funny for Halloween. There was a pumpkin that looked like a clown. There was a bat that looked like a spider. She thought that she was one-of-a-kind witch because everybody dressed up as cheese. And her teacher was a clown.

~4~

Funny Sounds

When Elizabeth got home, she heard funny sounds.

“BEEP BEEP BOP BOP!” the noise said but it didn’t do it anymore. Oh well, she thought.

~5~

Trick-Or-Treat

Smell my feet!

“Trick-Or-Treat! Smell my feet!” Elizabeth said. She thought it was funny. “Oh how funny!” her neighbor said “Here’s some candy.” And with that Elizabeth left to Trick-Or-Treat some more.

~6~

Good night, Elizabeth

“Good night, Elizabeth.” Said her Mom “Good night, Mom. See you in the morning.” “See you in the morning.” Her Mom said and her Mom turned of the light and Elizabeth went right to sleep.

Report Cards

I feel great about report cards because it gives the parents something that makes them sure you are behaving or not. When my parents see my good grades they are really proud of me.

I also feel a little nervous because a little bit might be bad. And I don’t want to wreck the good grades.

There was one time I got all A’s except for a B. I was really proud of myself.

I think report cards are good because then you get to see what you have to work on like math or science, or something like that. I usually do good with math and science. I think I’m going to be in a good college when I grow up.

The Turkey Story

Once upon there was a turkey named Gob Gob. He lived in a store and he was going to get picked. Well, around this time of year because Thanksgiving was right around the corner. He was afraid he was going to get picked and cooked. He would try to hide in all the turkeys.

One day he wasn’t even expecting someone trying to take him, but one Mom did. And he was so scared that he was going to be eaten. But he came up with a plan to escape from the mother.

In line at the Super Market, he was trying to roll away, but all the stuff was over him, so, he couldn’t. When he was in the car, he tried to roll out, but the car door was shut.

When he was on the counter he tried too, and he was scared because Thanksgiving was the next day.

The next day he was trying to get out of the oven. But he was already cooking. Oh no, he thought. My plan will never work!

When he was being served, he tried to roll off the plate, and he did! He rolled into the living room, and out the door and nobody ever saw Gob Gob again. (Well,he’s still alive!)

The Perfect Gift

Article posted December 13, 2006 at 11:11 PM GMT0 • Reads 172

One night, a girl snuggled in her bed nice and cozy. Earlier, she was in her classroom trying to figure out what she was going to get he mom for her birthday. It was December 15 and her Mom’s birthday was coming up, soon. Her Dad bought her a gold cross and the girl made her a bracelet to go with it, but that wasn’t enough.

“I need to get her something else” thought the little girl.

The next morning, she had breakfast. She looked outside to see if her Mom was there and she was, so she whispered to her Dad, “Do you think we should get something else for Mom for her birthday?”

“What do you think?”

“I don’t know. I mean, we should ask her what she wants for her birthday.”

“Okay. I’ll ask her later on.”

Later on, the Dad asked the Mom what she wanted for her birthday. “It doesn’t matter what I want. I just want to have a nice birthday and that’s all.”

“Alright.”

At night time, the girl asked the Dad what the Mom wanted for her birthday. “She just wants to have a nice birthday and that’s all.”

“Well, okay.”

The girl thought, “The next day is Mom’s birthday and she just wants to have a nice birthday and that’s all. I could still give her a good birthday.” And she did.

When she woke up the next morning, she couldn’t wait to see her Mom and wish her a great birthday and give her the presents. The Dad and the girl sang,

“Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday dear Mom!

Happy birthday to you!”

“Oh, you guys!”

“Open up the presents, Mom! "Open up mine first, Mom!”

“Okay!”

So she opened it up and it was the bracelet. “What a pretty bracelet! Thank you!”

“You’re welcome.”

“Here you go!” said the Dad She opened up the present.

“Oh, a gold cross. Thank you!”

“You’re welcome.”

The rest of the day was fun. They saw their family and friends and they all had a great time!

The Power Outage

Article posted January 4, 2007 at 08:55 PM GMT0 • Reads 168

The power outage was kind of fun. My Mom, my brother, and I went to my Grandma and Grandpa’s because they had their power and we didn’t. We decided that we would go and spend the day there. But, my Dad stayed home because he needed to find a place to work on his laptop. My Mom, my brother, my Grandma, and I went to the Target over by my Grandma and Grandpa’s house and we bought some batteries and two flashlights.

When we got back to my Grandma and Grandpa’s house, it was about time to leave, so we said our goodbyes and we left.

When we got home, the power was still out and we needed to eat dinner, so we ended up at a Wendy’s near the South Center Mall. My Dad waited in line for about a half an hour and we were starved.

When we got home, the power was still out. So, we called my Grandma and Grandpa and they said we could spend the night there, so we got all packed up and it was about 10:00pm and we were on our way, but when we got up the street, we noticed the street lights were on, so we decided that we would check on our house once more and it turned out that our house lights were on, so we called my Grandma and Grandpa and told them that our power was on. We were all happy that we had our electricity back!

My Vacation

Article posted January 23, 2007 at 08:48 PM GMT0 • Reads 197

On Saturday the 13th, I was on my way to the airport to Sea Tac because I was going to Palm Desert. It was fun and I was getting hungry. We got to the airport and found out that we were on a different plane, so we were all worried that our luggage got on the wrong plane.

When we got off the plane we found out that our luggage was on the right plane so we were glad. But the Ontario airport(We landed in Ontario then we drove to Palm Desert) was nicer than Sea Tac.

When we got to the condo, my Grandpa was out there waiting for us in the Golf Cart and then he drove in front of us to show where the Town House was.

When we walked in the door, there was a mirror covering the wall and I thought “Wow, what a big place.” So I walked into it and then I realized it was a mirror. Then, I looked up and there was a balcony, so I decided to go up there and when I did, I looked to the left and there was a bathroom and to the right and there was three beds.

All the rest of the days I just went swimming, I went to the store, and I watched the golfers golf.

On Saturday the 20th, we were arriving a the airport to leave and we found out that the plane was a hour late because there was some technical difficulties.

When we got on the plane we realized that we had to land in Sacramento to get some gas.

When it was over with, we were on our way to Seattle, but we wouldn’t be there until about 11:00 and it was 8:00 and we were tired.

When we got to the airport, I was glad to be home and I was glad I got to see my friends again!

Why I Admire My Mom

Article posted January 31, 2007 at 11:11 PM GMT0 • Reads 529

I admire my mom because she does these things to help me. My mom helps me take care of my pets. She helps me clean my Hamster's cage and she helps me feed my cat. My mom also helps me do my Homework. Whenever I get stuck, she’s right there to help me.

My mom taught me to be nice and kind. I respect that because she cares about if I ever get snotty.

My mom also makes me feel better when I’m sad. I also respect that because she cares about me. One time I was sad because my old cat died and she made me feel better by talking about it with me.

I admire my mom because she helps me with all these things.

Let me ask you a question, Who do you admire?

Valentine

Article posted February 13, 2007 at 08:50 PM GMT0 • Reads 174

Once upon a time there was a little girl whose birthday was on Valentine’s Day and she didn’t like that, so she asked her Mom if she could change the date to her birthday. “No, you can’t change the date of your birthday.” Her mother said. Now the little girl was sad because the kids would call her “Valentine” on Valentines Day. The next day was Valentine’s Day and she was worried. But she had to go to sleep and get some rest.

The next morning she groaned. She didn’t want to go to school. She even lied to her Mom and told her she felt sick but her Mom said she didn’t believe it. “But they’re going to call me Valentine.” “You are going to have to face the music.” She groaned again and she started walking to school.

When she got to school, she was late for class. But she didn’t mind. When she got in the class everybody was talking about Valentine’s Day. One of her friends said “Hey, Valentine.” “Stop!” yelled the girl. The class looked at her. Now she was embarrassed.

At the end of the day, she noticed nobody called her Valentine, and she was glad. Maybe this isn’t that bad after all, she thought. Then she realized that she didn’t mind that her birthday was on Valentine’s Day and then she realized that was what made her special.

I kind of like multiplication. I could be hard and easy, like, think of 1x1=?, I mean, that’s easy, but, think of like 9x9=? I mean that’s kind of hard to remember.

Spring Break

I can’t wait for Spring Break because I get to go to the one, the only fun, Lopez Island! I can’t wait because I get to go with my cool grandma and grandpa. I think it will be fun. If you read my article “Lopez Island” then you probably know a little bit of it. It is really fun up there. My grandma and grandpa have a cabin up there and you just get to relax. It is especially fun on the ride up there, too! I’ll probably write another cool article about it while I’m up there. My grandpa's freind lives up there and he grew up on that island. He comes up to the cabin every once in a while. As you can tell I’m very excited for my little trip. I usually get to go to this school up there and play. That is also very fun.

I also get to help my grandma bake cakes. That is fun too. Every night, my grandpa and me watch the sun come down. It is awesome!

After we come back home, me, my grandma, my grandpa, my mom, my dad, and my little brother Ryan are going to a party at my uncle and aunt's house. I hope my Spring Break will be fun! I hope yours will be fun, too!

The Easter Egg

Article posted April 8, 2007 at 02:15 AM GMT0 • Reads 306

Once upon a time there was an Easter egg. But no one knew that there was a little bird in it. So, they colored the Easter egg and then gave it to the little girl. But of course, she didn’t know that there was a real baby chick in there. The egg looked like a plastic egg! So, to her surprise, it hatched! And it was yellow! It was yellow because the egg was yellow. So she yelled “Mommy! My egg hatched!” And then the mother yelled “Oh don’t be silly, sweetie!” And the little girl yelled “Oh yes it is!” “Okay,” said the mother “I believe you.” Then the little girl said, “Can we keep it?!” “I don’t know what your father would think about this, but, okay.” “Yea!”

“You said yes! Why did you say that?” By then it was dinner time and the little girl’s dad was furious. “I don’t believe it. You said yes?” “Now, now. I think it would be good for her to keep the baby chick. It would teach her responsibility.” “I guess it would be okay if you put it that way. But what are you naming it?” “Chirp Chirp!” said the girl.

And they lived happily ever after!

So you should tell your friends about Earth Day and help the world!

The WASL

Article posted April 27, 2007 at 09:09 PM GMT0 • Reads 206

DAY 1: I think the first day of the WASL was fun because we got a break and got some chips to eat. It was really fun.

It was kind of like I expected. It was really mostly easy.

DAY 2: The WASL was fun today because we did reading again and that one is fun. I really like it.

I still think it was kind of like I expected. It was mostly easy. I really enjoyed it.

What I think about it: I think the WASL math will be fun. I think it will be the way I expected because we got to practice on papers and I think it will be fun. My friends think it will be fun too.

We are excited about the WASL, whole thing. We’ll see about what it’ll be like.

DAY 3: The WASL math was easier than I expected and that is true. I really enjoyed that, too. The only thing that was a little hard was… nothing! Nothing was really hard in the WASL math so there you go!

Almost everybody was done before break time and that was the cool part about it. Especially I thought that was really cool. Well, my friends did too, but especially me.

DAY 4: What else is on my mind today is the WASL. We did the math WASL this morning and it was just a tiny bit easier than yesterday. I still think it isn’t quite what I expected.

We’ll just see about tomorrow, DAY 5… These days I’ve been a little nervous and a little excited, but mostly excited.

I am thinking about WASL DAY 5 because tomorrow is the last day and I think it’ll be a little harder because it’ll be the last day and I think that is cruel! Cruel I tell you! Don’t you agree with me? You better! (If you’re a kid. No offense, parents, teachers, and well, grownups, too. Also people who make the WASL.)

DAY 5: My final thoughts about the WASL are it wasn’t hard but we found out we didn’t have the same problems and we were wondering about that. Mostly all of us were done before break so that was when we got to go outside. It was a fun last day of the WASL.

I wonder what it will be like next year. I went to a workshop about the WASL and I tried the forth grade paper and I couldn’t even figure anything out.

Elizabeth

Article posted June 13, 2007 at 09:03 PM GMT0 • Reads 203

Elizabeth lived in on ranch. She did not like that. Her parents always fed her pizzas. She didn’t like her life. It was boring.

One day, Elizabeth made a wish. She wished that her life were more exciting. Well, the next day was her birthday. She wished she got a banjo for her birthday. Also, she wished that she got something different to eat than pizza. While she was sleeping, a fairy came and granted her birthday wishes.

The next morning she came downstairs and there was spaghetti on the table. “Why is there spaghetti on the table?” she asked. “This is what you will be eating now.” said her mother, looking pleased with herself. “Yea!” exclaimed Elizabeth. “And there’s more!” “What?” asked Elizabeth. “This.” said her father, holding up a banjo. “It’s always what I wanted!” And they lived happily ever after.

The End

P.S. Elizabeth now has a chimpanzee as a pet.

My perfect weekend

Article posted June 17, 2007 at 04:04 AM GMT0 • Reads 202

My perfect weekend would be laying down and relaxing… by the pool! I would like that. The whole weekend we would swim and sleep until, like, 10:00. That would be my perfect weekend. Oh, and wait. It would also be in the summer. That would be the perfect weekend.

June 19, 2007

On my mind today is that I am going to Lopez Island next week. I can’t wait. I will be fun. I will go up there on June 29, 2007, and come back either July 6, 2007 or July 7, 2007. My grandma and grandpa said it will be fun. I think it will be fun, too. They own a cabin up there and I get to go a lot.

What else is on my mind is that I am not thinking about anything else. Well, that’s one thing.

Mrs. Freeman

Article posted June 22, 2007 at 04:16 PM GMT0 • Reads 229

I will miss Mrs. Freeman, our secretary at school. I hope she will visit us at school. I’m kind of glad and sad. The reason I’m glad is because she’s doing more fun things and getting to visit her grandchildren and her children more. The reason I’m sad is because I would hate to see her gone. So I hope she visits us at our school.

Does Harry Potter Live or Die?

Article posted July 22, 2007 at 12:12 AM GMT0 • Reads 1349

Does Harry Potter live or die? Well, I have to say, some people know and some don’t. That’s if, they already read the book or CHEAT AND READ THE END. Some people say there is something about the last three words in the book. Is it the message? Or is it the whole truth if he lives or not? I tell you, I am not a big Harry Potter fan, but I do want to read the whole series and see if I like it. But, let’s get back to the whole main thing. If he lives, there could be a year 8. “Does Harry Potter live or die?” That is the question a lot of people are asking right now.
