Hi my name is Maribeth. I am 8 years old. I am in 3rd grade and I am in room twelve. That is Mr. Ahlness class. I have a dog at Mexico. Almost all my moms family live there. My favorite thing to do at recess is going on the monkey bars and my other favorite thing to do at recess is tetherball. I have two sisters and zero brothers. I have ten friends, some at school and some friends at home I always play with them they live by me. They go on my bus too. On the weekends my cousins come to my house or some times I go their house. My birthday is on November 29, this year my mom and dad are going to make me a party!

My Cousin's New Baby

In the summer my cousin had a baby. It was a boy. My cousin named him Brian. We had a long time thinking of the name. The baby is almost a month old. We only went to visit her once because the hospital was too far from our house. We had to baby sit my cousin's daughter. But not my other cousin's, my cousin that had the baby. Her daughter is three years old. She is a girl. Her name is Yuliana. My cousin July and my other cousins got to hold the baby, and I did too. And a few days ago we went to a party but my cousin was out of the hospital. And in the party my cousin was somewhere else and I got to baby sit the baby and hold the baby until she came. It was really fun. My cousins and I went to play because my cousin was done with what she was doing. Sometimes my cousin comes all the way to our house. Her house and our house are too far away. So my cousin has to come to our house because my dad doesn’t like to go all the way over there. But me, my mom, and my sisters like to go. But my cousin still comes to my house. It’s really fun because when they come to my house I get to play with my cousin Yuliana and I get to hold the baby!

I am thinking about Ms. Bailey coming back because she was in a car accident. I think she will be ok because she has a broken arm I think she’ll be ok to play the piano.

ABOUT THE SHADOW

Once my family was getting ready to sleep. And then my sister said to get out of her room because she was going to try her new pants on. So she did. My sister and I were playing around .It was fun. Then we heard my sister yell we went into her room she said she saw a shadow. She started telling us that she saw a shadow so she did. She said when she was trying on her pants she was looking at the window and that she looked really close to it and that the shadow was moving. She stopped so she knew if it was a robber or some body else she stopped talking. My sister and I said don’t stop talking just tell us what you saw so she did. She said that when she was putting back her pants the shadow went away, and we all got really scared. After that my sister and I said if she wanted to sleep with us because it was scary for her to sleep there. So she said yes, and we all went to sleep.

MARIBETH' REPORT CARD STORY

I feel OK but I’m afraid I might not get good grades because if I don’t my mom will get mad at me. I think report cards are good because you could see if you get good grades or other things like hitting people. But we all need report cards because if you don’t have a report card you might flunk and your mom has to know if you do well in school. Your dad and mom might tell the teacher how you do at school or if you do really bad and you might get in really big trouble because you might of did bad on the report card. Sometimes I always get good grades but when I was in first grade I didn’t really get bad grades.

TURKEY TIME

One day there was a turkey called Gobble Gobble and she had a brother and a sister. The turkey was a baby. She was two years old and she didn’t have any mom or dad. She only had a brother and a sister but they went out of town forever and so Gobble Gobble was alone. One day he went to find food because she didn’t have anything to eat and so she went to some place were she could find food and so she went. When she went she was getting scared because there were a lot of people and she thought they would eat her and so Gobble Gobble hid from the people and he went to another place to find food. Then he saw a shadow that looked like a man. Gobble Gobble was getting really scared and so the man took Gobble Gobble with him. When they got to the mans house the mean man said to himself I’m going to eat the turkey for Thanksgiving tomorrow and so the man put the turkey and a cage outside and Gobble Gobble got really scared because it was getting dark and so he was imagining if the guy was really going to eat her. Then in a couple minutes she went to sleep.



The next morning it was Thanksgiving and she woke up. She got out of the cage. She was trying to escape and then when she got out the mean man got her and frightened her and the man put the turkey in the house and Gobble Gobble saw the man getting the stove ready to eat turkey and so she got more frightened and then the man was picking Gobble Gobble up so the man could eat Gobble Gobble and she was wiggling all around so the man won’t drop Gobble Gobble in the pan. Then the man dropped her. Then Gobble Gobble ran away forever and then a few years later it was Thanksgiving. Gobble Gobble got bigger. She was 20 years old. She had babies. The babies were cute, so then they went to get food and then they went back home and had a nice Thanksgiving!

Hi my name is Maribeth. I am going to Texas for Christmas, in an airplane. Well it is going to be my first time in an airplane. Well my mom, and my sisters and I are going, but I don’t know if my dad is going. I think he is going.



I am going to Texas on the nineteenth of December, and we are coming back on the seventh of January. Well, I can’t wait until I go in the airplane.



Well, now I am going to tell you what I am going to do at Texas for Christmas… well if it snows, all of my cousins and I are going to play in the snow and make a snowman or have a snow fight.





What I am going to give to my dad and mom for their Christmas present is big and it has gems on it. It is really beautiful. For Christmas I want a laptop, but a real one, and I want other pretty things.



I think that in Texas my family already has their tree and their lights up. I can’t wait until it snows over in Texas so I can play with my cousins in the snow, because it is fun to play in the snow with my cousins in Texas.





When I go over there in Texas I can’t wait to go to the mall after Christmas because my cousins are going too, and I like the mall in Texas because my cousins and I are going to skate in the mall, and I can't wait until my family and I eat in the mall with all of my family.



The part I like the most is that on Christmas Day we are going to have a big party and we are going to open the presents at 12:00.



I can’t wait until I get my laptop and other things.

MY FAMILY CAME FROM TEXAS

On the 8th of January my mom’s brother came and my cousins and my uncles wife well it is really fun to have them living in our house because my cousins are fun to play with. My cousins names are Perla, David, and Dalila. David is in Arbor Heights Elementary school he is in forth grade he is nine years old he is like my age but is still older than me. Some times my other cousins come to my house and we all play fun but we never really go to places so we could have fun so it is almost always kind of boring playing in the house. Last year they came they stayed for a whole year. It was fun that time because for summer my dad bought a pool and my cousins came. It was really fun because we were having a swimming contest. It was really fun. We all had a tie, the total time was 1:00. Well this time we are going to have more more fun! Well have a great time everyone!

When I grow up I want to be a babysitter, because babies are fun to play with, and they are really cute. When I grow up I want to have a baby but I want them to be twins because I have a cousins that are twins and they are really cute.



My cousin had a baby and it is a boy it is really really cute. Some times we baby-sit him and my cousins and I hold him, he is 5 months old his birthday is on August but I forgot the day.



So when I grow up I want to be a babysitter. What do you want to be when you grow up?

Well hi my name is Maribeth and for Valentine’s Day I want a lot of candy and chocolates, but there is a problem. I once had a stomach ache. Well that is what happened my last Valentine’s Day.



For Valentine’s Day I want a teddy bear. Well why I want a teddy bear is because I am collecting them. I have 12 of them. They are really cute and cozy, and I sleep with them. For Valentines I’m going to bring chocolates and candy to my class and we are going to make a party and also we are going to watch a movie.



Hey, let me ask you a question. What is your favorite holiday? Mine is Christmas and Valentine’s Day!!!

HOW I'M DOING ON MY MULTIPLICATION

MULTIPLICATION



Well I think that I’m learning sort of well. Not that much because I still don’t know that much of the 6s times. I only know the others like 1s, 2s, 3s, 4s, 5s, and the 9s. Mostly the 9s and 5s are the easiest. Because the 9s you could do them with your fingers and the 5s you could count like 5 10 15 20 25 30. The hard ones for me are the 7s, 8s the other easy ones is 10s because you just go like 10 20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 and so they are easy.



Well I’m going to learn them by practicing them every time and I usually do that every time at my house but not that much. Well I’m going to practice more. Well my class and I are doing these flash cards and they are Multiplication, and they are cool.

I think that Casey’s blog is good; I picked to write about her blog because she writes good stories and she writes long stories, especially her Valentines story is long.



I really like her blog anyways she is nice too. She comments people well I don’t really comment people because I don’t really go on other blogs but I do some times go on other blogs.





Well I do like somebody’s blog, his name is M.V.

He is a good writer. He writes things that I like, like video games and football well I don’t really like football I just like the video games.

SPRING BREAK

For spring break I will go to the park that is close to my house. I always go when it is sunny. My sister’s friends go and my cousins go with us. On spring break I won't like it on the 13th because you might have bad luck if you see a black cat or if you go under a ladder or if you step in a crack. I can't wait until it’s Easter day because all of my cousins are going and our moms are going to hide the eggs for us!

EARTH DAY





Well what I think about Earth day is that it is cool and that a lot of people live on it. A lot Aare different and we have a lot of friends.

On Earth day some times my family and I celebrate it. We buy candy and do a BBQ and I play with my cousins tag, freeze tag, and a lot of different games but it is really fun.

So do you know when Earth day is? Guess, I do know when Earth day is.

THE WASL

On Monday it was the first day of WASL. I was so nervous but then when I was doing it I thought it was easy, really easy. I like the WASL. I wish I could do it right now. Well The WASL was what I expected. I liked it. My mom said this morning she will give me a surprise if I pass it. I cant wait but if I don’t pass it I won't get a surprise so I better pass it because I want a prize. So my sisters told me it was hard but they were trying to scare me so then what do you think about the WASL?





Tomorrow is the 25th: we will start doing the part math I can’t wait. I am good at math. But not that much. I really like math. I wish I could do it right now. I want to do division.





Day 26th: We did math and it was really easy. I finished early, well all of the people finished really early. After that we ate a snack. This boy named Kody and this girl named Delaney brought snacks to eat for our WASL

Break. Delaney brought juice and a snack and Kody brought Lays, they were good and today we played games on the computers because it wasn’t recess yet, so we played on them.





Day 26th we will be doing math still so it will be easy still. I will bring some snacks for the class. I will bring juice and some cookies. We will be having Chips ahoy for snack time. I will bring some more. Well I think today’s WASL was easier than yesterday's. Today I finished earlier than yesterday. Today for snack was Chips ahoy. I brought them. They were chewy with a lot of chocolate. They were really really good. We each had 2 cookies.





Day 27th: last day. Tomorrow it will be the last day. I can’t wait but I still like the WASL very much. Today we hade a lot of snacks. We had Cheese its, Graham crackers, Chips ahoy, Lays, and that’s all we ate. Well that was the last day of the WASL. I can’t wait till next year.

Good Things About My Blog

Well one thing that is good about blogs is that you could write a lot of stories and then put them on your blog and other people from other states could read the stories that you write, also you could get comments too. I like to get comments a lot. Well other people from different states have blogs to; I give them comments but not that much. I give people comments. I don’t really go on my blog in school neither in my house.

Summer Vacation!!!





On the summer my family and I will go to Texas, well I don’t know if we will go because my dad said maybe. I hope we do. We always go there but in next summer my family and my mom's brother and his family we will all go to Mexico. We will come back almost when school starts I think.



Well if we don’t go to Texas we will stay here and go to pools and do other things.

When it’s summer my cousin puts on her big pool and her cousins and my cousins go, I go to it too. It is so; so big I can't wait till summer because we do so much fun stuff.
