Hi my name is Nicole. I am active. I am a great athlete. I love to do art. I have played 3 different sports - basketball, soccer, and softball. I am playing soccer right now. Soccer is a fun sport. I really like soccer. I have 2 pets one is a cat and the other is a kitten. I have a mom and a dad. I have no brothers or sisters . I am 8 years old and I am in third grade. I have 5 friends they are really nice. I am in elementary school. My school is really cool. It is a great school. My favorite color is pink. I like watching Disney Channel and Nickelodeon. I do like watching other shows too. I like playing with my kitten. I also like playing in my pool and going in my hot tub. I also like looking for bugs and caterpillars. I like making salads out of plants. I also like planting in the garden.

The Storm Game

Last year I went to the Storm game to give an award to a lady. She was nice. I got on T.V. It was cool. I also got on the big screen. I was with my cousin and my mom and dad too. That was the best day of my life. I was proud of myself. I was also glad.It was fun too.

My Hamster Termite

When I was five I was with my grand parents and my two cousins Jemma and Julia. I asked my grand parents if we could see the pets in Pet Co. So they said yes. So we went in to Pet Co and I found the hamsters. I asked if I could get one and they said it was ok with them. But they said I had to ask my mom and dad. So they called my house. My mom picked up the phone and said hello. And my grandma said hi! So my grandma asked if I could have a hamster and she said yes. And so my grandma went to ask the lady at the desk to open the glass cage so I could hold my new hamster. The lady said he would live for three years. But instead he lived for four years. But when I had my birthday party my friend Delaney said my hamster died. I was very sad but I didn’t cry. But the night after that night I cried. I was even more sad so I couldn’t sleep that well. The next morning I was still thinking about him. Then it was Monday the real day of my 8th birthday. In class my mom came in and brought in cup cakes for my birthday. We had vanilla and chocolate cup cakes in class. We watched a movie too. I still draw pictures of him. I will never for get him. My family and I will always remember him. We will always love him. I am thinking about Ms. Bailey coming back yesterday because she was in a car accident. I am excited for music today. I also got a flower for her because I really missed her. I am really glad that she is here and that she is back. She is also the best music teacher in the world.

Today I am helping my aunt and uncle move to their new house. They have two dogs their names are Princess and Coco Puff. It is a half an hour drive. It seemed more than a half an hour drive, it seemed longer. My aunt and uncle have a bigger house now. My whole family helped and they all liked the new house. It rained on us, it was pouring and hailing. It was really cold.

THE FOLLOWING GHOST

Once there was this boy who was taking a late night walk. He wasn’t scared of the dark but he was scared of ghosts. So while he was in the park he got a little scared because he thought a ghost would come out and jump at him so started to walk home. Then he heard something, so he looked back and checked if anything was behind him. But there was nothing behind him. Then he heard it again, so he looked back again and he saw a ghost!



So he started to run home. He made it home safe and sound. But he still thought he wasn’t safe. He didn’t tell his parents.



A few days later he caught the ghost in a glass case so he couldn’t get out and run away. Then the next day he forgot to feed him so the ghost was really hungry. Then the next day he remembered about the ghost and he found the ghost dead. He felt bad for the ghost. Because he was just a kid like him so he didn’t get to live for a long time. THE END

Gymnastics

REPORT CARDS

I feel good about showing my report card to my parents because I know I have good grades. And I hope I will get all A’s. And no F’s. I wonder what will happen if I got a bad report card. But I know I will have a good report card.



We need report cards because the parents need to see your grades and see how you are doing in school. So you can move to the next grade.



If I get a good report card I might get one more dollar for my allowance

What is on my mind today is…..Thanksgiving because we are having it at my house this year. We aren’t having dinner at my house, we are having dinner at my cousin’s house. We are just staying at my house for a few hours. That is my family’s routine for Thanksgiving. We have dinner at my cousin’s house every year. It takes a while for the dinner to cook. But we just play while they are cooking. Then when the dinner is done someone who wants to say some stuff of what they're thankful for we let them say it. I might say some thing but I don’t know. We will have turkey, corn, salad, and other things. Then when dinner is over some people might go home for the night.

Mr. Jerky

Hi my name is Mr. Jerky and you are the person who is going to cook me for Thanksgiving. And this is how I am going to escape….. I am going take a bus to the farm. And go wild. So the farmer would let me go into the wild.



Well that was my plan but this is how it goes …..Once there was a turkey and his name was Mr. Jerky and he was a wild turkey and that is why the farmer put him in the biggest pen in the whole farm. The farmer was thinking about selling him. But he would miss his wildness.



But Mr. Jerky was a little too wild thought the farmer. But Mr. Jerky kept on messing up things. So he would have to be sold. And so the farmer did, and Mr. Jerky didn’t like his new home. So every day he would try to escape from his pen. He was the only turkey there so he was lonely. And he wanted friends. And a few months later he finally escaped from his pen and took a bus and went home and the farmer was so happy to see Mr. Jerky. And the farmer said, “I am never selling you again!" So the farmer and Mr. Jerky lived happily ever after. THE END

MY THANKSGIVING

My Thanksgiving was great! I had dinner at my cousin’s house. I ate turkey, mashed potatoes, Jell-O with whipped cream, bread. It was good. A lot of people said what they were thankful for. My almost whole family was there. One of my aunts weren’t there and my great grandpa only stayed for a few minutes because he is 99.

The Best Gift Ever!!

What is the best present I ever gave to some one? Well this is what…… it was something I made at school. It was a kissing box for both of my parents. It was gold and I decorated it my self. I made it last year in second grade. Every one made a kissing box. You would put kisses in it for your parents. Your parents would take kisses out of it.

Christmas Eve and Christmas

It was Christmas Eve last year. My cousins and I were on a horse ride and we were singing Christmas carols. After we were done with the horse ride we did other things. After we did them it was getting dark so we went home.



In a few hours we went to my grandma’s and grandpa’s house because we were spending the night like we always do for Christmas. It was late so I had to go to bed. I was excited!



Then it was morning and I went down stairs and I saw presents! I went to wake up my parents and they came out. My cousins came down and went to wake up their parents. We went to get our stockings and emptied them. The presents under the tree we could only open a few, because we had to wait for my whole family to get there. Then when they arrived we got to open the rest. They also brought presents for other people.



After we opened presents we had dinner. A few hours after dinner we left.

The Accident

On Dec.16, 2006 my mom, me, and my friend Delaney were driving home from a party down by Sea Tac. The electricity went out but the traffic lights were blinking red. It was our turn to go. Then a car went zooming through and hit us and we went up on two wheels and spun around and went to the other side of the road. When we landed Delaney and I were screaming 'cause the car was steaming in the inside. We thought the car was on fire but it wasn't. We got out of the car and the front of the car was smashed up too. The windsheld the other car was smashed up too. These two nice men came over and helped us. They put us in their warm truck. They called 911 and the ambulance, fire truck, and the police came. The guys that we smashed into were drunk. They got arrested. Delaney and I were shaking for two reasons - one because we were scared, and two because we were cold. We all had our seat belts on and all of us were ok. My stomach kind of hurt. My dad and Delaney's mom and grandpa came to pick us up. My dad came from a Huskies game. We went to the hospital to get us checked out but the line was too long so we went home and went in the morning. My mom just went because her knee hurt. My uncle and cousin came to watch me in the morning. My mom came home in a half an hour. Her knee was fine and we didn't leave the day after the accident because we were scared of the road.

My Favorite Hour

My favorite hour of the day is 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.. It’s because we have gym or music for a half an hour. In music we are doing bells with a Martin Luther King song. In gym we are practicing basketball for the hoop shoot contest.

Sledding Down a Hill with Friends and Me

It was a snowy night. It was like Winter Wonder Land it was 7 inches deep. It was so pretty my dad took a picture of it and sended the picture to my cousins in Montana what the snow is like in Seattle.



The next day we went sledding with my cousins and friends. We went down a really steep and big hill. We went really fast because my dad pushed us, we kept on falling over. Delaney and I went together and slid in dog poop. It was gross.



It got late so we had to go back to my house. Every one left and went home. Then I had dinner and went to bed.



Then it was the next day. They came over again and did the same thing, except when we went to my house we had hot coco and warm milk, and watched the movie Click. It was really funny. Every one left to go home like yesterday.



The next day no body came. Just my dad and me went sledding together, but it was still really fun.

I want to be a Softball Player



Hi I am Nicole and I want to be a softball player when I grow up because I love to play softball. It is fun and really active and it gets you moving and on your feet.



I like playing softball because you make a lot of new friends. If you keep practicing you will get better and better at it.



I watch older softball kids on TV. I watch them on TV so I can learn moves that will help me when I play a game.



A couple days ago I went to a high school gym so I can learn how to pitch because we are going to start pitching when I play in March.



I saw my two best friends Molly and Loran. Molly is really nice and Loran is crazy like me. I think Molly is in choir like me but I don’t know?

Bug's Valentine's Day

Bug’s Valentine’s Day



Once there was a town of bugs. It was three days till Valentines Day. The stores were packed with Valentine stuff.



One day a bee named Jimmy came in the store. He was shopping for Valentine cards. He found them. Then he saw a beautiful ant. He wanted her to be his Valentine. But he was to nerous. He thought she would be scared because he is a bee and ants are scared of bees. But he took a shot at it and asked her. He said “would you be my Valentine?” and she said “yes”. He was so excited. He thought she would scream and say no. But there was one problem. He didn’t no what to get her.



He wanted to get her something nice like a diamond necklace and diamond earrings. But he didn’t have that kind of money. So he decided to work for the money. So he decided to work at a hotel. Maybe the fanciest one in town like the Tipton Hotel, because every Friday you get paid $1700. And that’s enough to by a diamond necklace and earrings.



So he went to the Tipton and asked for a job. He wanted to be a person who was at a desk. Called a receptionist. He is really good at that. So he went to the Tipton and asked for a job. The owner said “yes you may” then he said “you start on tomorrow”. He was so excited, he just couldn’t wait.



After that he went on a walk thinking how well it will be working there and making his valentine so happy.



After he went to the park he went to the store to get dinner. Then he went home and ate dinner.



The next day he got dressed and went to work. He got his own uniform. It was really cool. He liked it.



After work he went home he went to sleep.



Then two days later it was Friday. That means he gets his allowance. When he got it he went straight to the jewelry store and bought a pair of diamond earrings and necklace.



On Saturday it was Valentine’s Day. He went to her house and gave her the pair of earrings and the necklace.



Then they lived happily ever after.

My Tiring Weekend

My weekend was tiring because my mom and me gave our backyard a big clean up. When I was digging with my mom I found 10 worms so I put them somewhere else. We also found a huge slug so I put it in the park up the street from my house. We put a path way to my hot tub so when you walk your feet won’t get wet. We did this for 2 reasons, 1 because we wanted our yard to look nicer, and 2 because we are having the final 4 party at my house on the 31st.

The Peregrine Falcons

I am thinking about Animal Planet because this morning they showed the peregrine falcon on T.V. It was the peregrine falcon that is up on the T.V. It was really cool because it showed the egg and the baby falcons when they hatched. The bird’s box was on top of the Key Arena, and they showed the people that were taking care of the birds.

My Dad's Birthday

My dad’s birthday is on the first day of Spring Break, which is April 9th. I am wondering if he is going to have a party. I hope he does because it is his 43rd birthday. My mom and I don’t know what we are getting him.



We are thinking of getting him a new golf club because he and I go golfing a lot in the summer, he also teaches me how to play golf better. I also have my own golf bag and golf clubs and I go to a golf class in the summer and spring.

My Spring Break

My vacation was great because I went to Semiahamoo. I could see Canada from there. It was really cool. It was just across the water. My family and me were playing at the beach at the hotel. It also had its own golf course. It was the best hotel I have ever been to. I stayed there for three days.



I also made a garden box when I came back home. I made it with the colors of red, orange, and yellow. But I haven’t panted it yet. I am planting vegetables, they are carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, and sweet pees.

Save the Dolphins

I want to save the dolphins because I have always wanted to ride one. But I can't if we don’t keep the water clean or they will die and no one will ever be able to ride one again.

The second day of the WASL is going great because I have finished session 1 and session 2, and you were supposed to finish all of those.

My thoughts for the third day of the WASL are that I thought the first session of the math packet was really easy because I memorized all those problems.

Las Vegas

On Wednesday night I went to the airport to go to Las Vegas. But the airplane was delayed three hours. My mom, my dad and me were really mad because first it was in the evening, but now it was in the night. I was really tired when we got on the plane.



We got to Las Vegas at 12:00 A.M. We stayed at my mom's friends house. Her name is Keri. She has four kids, a husband and two dogs named Sassy and Aspen. They are really nice. They have a pool and a jacuzzi.



The next day it was really hot. It was 90 degrees, and that's just spring. The summer can get to 104 degrees. That is really hot. It is very rare for Seattle to get that hot.



I stayed there for three days and three nights. Those days went fast. I did not want to leave. It was too fun.



On the last day, one of their daughters named Hannah took me to her friend's house. She had a waterfall and a water slide. We jumped of the water fall. We also pretended that we were Goerge of the jungle. So we used the end of a palm tree and jumped off the water fall and fell in the water. Hannah's friend had twenty dogs.



At 8:30 on Saturday night, we left for the airport. I did not want to leave.



We got to the airport and got on the plane and went home. We got to Seattle at 12:30 A.M. I was really tired.



The next day we unpacked all our stuff. I want to go back really soon.

Good Things About Blogs

I Think blogs are good because they help you write better and you can have a lot of fun with blogs.



My blog is really cool. I have about 20 or more stories on it. My first story was about me. My favorite on was my 35 one because it was about going to Las Vegas. We went there to see my mom’s friend. It was hot there. It was 90 degrees. That is just spring, in winter it is 60 and in summer it is a 102. That is because it is a desert. It took me about 1 to 2 days.



My second favorite is my 24 because I wrote about that I want to be a softball player when I grow up. I picked it as my second favorite because I have played softball 2 years already. I learn by practicing and watching it on T.V. It took me about three days to do it.

I am thinking about Family Internet Night because I wonder who will be there.



I am also thinking about early lunch because I wonder why we will have an early lunch.



The last thing I am thinking about is if I will finish my unit 35 of spelling today or tomorrow.



My favorite subjects are music, gym, and art because they are fun and you get special opportunities.



I am thinking about field day today because field day is the second best day of the year because the last day of school is the first best day of the year.



I am also thinking about lunch because we are eating out side because we always do that on field day. I also wonder how many kids won't listen about throwing away their lunches.



My perfect weekend plans are my class and I are going to the Arbor Heights pool today.



On Sunday it is Father’s day and that means lots of presents and love for all the fathers in the world.

In our school our best and friendliest secretary is retiring. Her name is Ms. Freeman. She has been a secretary since 1973 to 2007. We will miss her a whole bunch and there will always be a spot in our heart for Ms. Freeman. I don’t want her to leave or any other nice teachers in my school. Especially principal Dr. Coram. I have been at this school since kindergarten and right now I am in third grade so I have been here for four years. I will never forget her. I will always remember her. I am also going to give her flowers and a card.
