Some one in my family was getting laughed at because of her hair. Every day at least one kid always laughed at her. All day she would just sit down on the bench. SKYPING CELEST

Today we did something special, we included a girl named Celest. The only thing is she has leukemia so she can’t come to school. So we bout a web cam and a computer, so for all that we need the internet, skype, and a modem and a phone line. So for a while where learning about leukemia. Where pretty lucky because we are the first people to do this. Today when Celest popped on the computer I was kind of scared and really excited.

Disneyland



Finally the day was here, me and my family where going to Disneyland. Then we all got are stuff and put it in the back but we still have to pick up my cousins. Next we all got dressed and picked up my cousins and took off to Disneyland. Today we are going to Wild Waters. I’am really excited. My mom my Dad my sister and some of our cousins are coming to. Right now we are getting everything ready. I am just putting on my bathing suit so we can start heading on are way to go pick up our cousins. But the problem is we have to what for my sister my Mom and my Dad,because they still have to get ready. I have been waiting for a half hour. “Finally they are read lets go.” I said. “We are here lets go to the Lazy River”. I said. Harry!!! Wait we still have to get the tubs. “I know I know but I just want to get there right now”. “Ok how about this, you meet me there at the Lazy River while I get the tub you’ll be waiting at the Lazy River”. “But how long will it take you”? “About ten minuets” ‘Fin but hurry up”. “Finally you are here” “Lets go” “Ok ok just seattle down” . So after that we went on a couple of more rides and went home.

Today Grace Corrigan came to our classroom. It was really cool because she was talking to us about when Christa McAuliffe (the first teacher in space) was training. We got to take a picture with her. If you are wondering what YouthBriges is, it is a group of kids that are in a middle school in Virginia.

I would like to go to Hawaii because, it is really hot there and I would be able to make skirts out of grass. Also you would be able to make necklaces out of flowers. We could go swimming every day for a long time. I probably will be so hot that I will probably not need blankets. I have never been to Hawaii but I am dying to go. My Tio and my Grandma went and my three cousins went. I got so mad at them because they did not take me. If you have long hair you will go crazy if you did not bring a hair band. I think I might go this year.

Monday morning when my class C-5 walked in, there was a camera crew inside. They were here because they heard that our class was using Skype. They wanted to see how we used it so we called Celest and told her to stay home and get on Skype. That day Celest got on Skype and we got on Skype and the camera crew stayed here at school with us. We were acting like they were not here. There were three people here, one was the camera guy, another was the sound recorder and then the director that tells people what to do. They recorded Alex and me hooking up Celest whenever she dropped off Skype. They also went to her house as soon as the lunch bell rang. They interviewed Alex and me. I felt really shy when they were interviewing me. The End

Yes I did celebrate halloween. It was very fun because my cousin and I where trying to scare people. My cousin scared five people and I scared six people. After two hours went by we went trick or treating. I saw a lot of cool costumes that I wanted. My seven cousins and I were running to each house. Our parents told us to slow down but we did not listen. So that was my Halloween night. I had seen a lot of my best costumes. I still had a lot of fun and I enjoyed it.

On Thursday our class Skyped some eighth graders in Maryland. The reason we where Skyping with them was because they sent Mr. Crosby 12 videos for us to check and see if they looked good and if they made sense. So we Skyped them and they asked us questions about Celest and we asked them questions about the videos. After that was done we told them what we thought about the video and they told us about what they thought about us Skyping Celest. After that was done we took some notes while they were talking about the videos and how they made them. We asked them how they came up with the ideas for their videos. Some people told them that the videos were funny and silly. The one that I liked the most was the one with the Chicken Boy song. I also liked Bongo because he had a funny voice. So that is what we did on Thursday morning.

My cousin and I get a along very good. We come up with our own games. Sometimes we even go to the park and play games. One day when my cousin and I where at the pool she wanted to get in the deep end and I told her ‘’NO’’! So when she walked away she fell into the pool. Luckily I saved her. Yesterday we had a feast. The theme of the feast was Thanksgiving, but we kind of did it like the pilgrims. We had turkey, cod, salmon, venison, duck, bread, green beans, corn, pumpkin pie, cranberries and ginger ale to replace the beer. We had the feast around12:45 because the turkey was still not ready. Before we ate we ended up taking a picture of us behind the turkey and then one in front of all the food. Then we went to recess and played tell the bell rang. After we got back we went straight to eating. Everybody had a good time because we all got seconds and some of us got more than seconds. After we finished the food we got pumpkin pie. We had some left over so Mr.crosby said we could all have another piece tomorrow after lunch. Everyone said yah! and he said he would go and put them in the refrigerator for the next day. So after that we went home.

Have you ever gotten something stolen or has your house gotten broken into? Well we have. This morning when my classmates in C-5 walked in our teacher Mr. Crosby told us that our class had been broken into. I felt disappointed because there was glass every where and there where books on the floor, our globe was broken and they went into Mr. Crosby’s desk and that was about it. When I saw it I wondered what happened? What did they get? It made me wonder how the blinds could get bent. I think the people who did it are very bad people.

On July 8, 2007, it was my birthday. My parents took me to Six Flags. We went on all of the rides. First we went on the dry ones I liked those ones because we got to go fast. Then the tunnel ones. The tunnel ones where very funny because we got to spine around. Finally we got to go on the wet ones I really liked those ones because we got partners and we got soaking wet. There was about 300 rides. After that we took some picture's in front of the water fall. We got to go see some shows like the whale and the dolphin, but the dolphin and the whale and the wet rides got us wet that we had to go to the little shack and by some cloths. Then we went home.

The day I went sledding was the best and funniest sledding trip I ever went on.

That day when we were heading up there us four kids were board so my dad said he would tell us a story and all four adults said tell them the one with you and your three friends so he told us the story. As soon as he was done we were already there.

As soon as we settled in we got all ready. Then we ended up meeting my other cousin there. The first people to go sledding were my two cousin my sister and I. We all fitted on one long sled. One of the funny parts were when my two Tias were going down the hill and our new sled popped. After that we all packed up drank some hot chocolate and left.

How To Edit Your Story

I f you are wondering how to edit your story well if you are you should read this story. The first step to editing your story is, you have to proofread carefully.

After that is done you have to spell check to see if you have any mistakes.

Then you have to proofread carefully again but even twice as hard so that if you find any mistakes you can fix them.

So you are probably thinking is that it but trust me there is more than what you think. Well as soon as that is done you have to spell check it once more just if the first time you did not catch the mistake.

When you read it the first time you must look for capital letters, punctuation and correct english. When you are done with that you will have to print it out.

The things that you will have to do are really easy. You will have to re-read, put your finger on every first letter in a sentence, put your finger on names.

Then get back on your laptop and double space it to make work easier to see and read.

Then read out load to your ears. What I mean by that is cough your hands around your ears and read your story.

Your attitude about writing your story is you have to want it, care for it, focus on it, active on it like you are playing Football or something.

When I ask my Dad if he could get me tickets he always says I will try to get you tickets to go see him but he just tells me that so I won’t bug him. When I was little I thought that there were nine planets and one star, the Sun. Well I was sure wrong.

Did you know that light takes 450 millionths of a second to travel across the country? Did you also know that when you look up at the sky and see the Sun that’s where it was about eight minutes ago.

Wow that is really cool but wait tell you hear what is next.

You probably are wondering what is the Sun. Is the Sun a big ball of water? The Sun is actually a big ball of gas. It takes about eight minutes to get the light from the Sun all the way to the Earth.

Our Solar System is like a crumb compared to the sun.

Well the planets are like a little dot compared to the Sun, but to the VV Cephei star they would be smaller than a piece of dust.

I was walking home one day when I saw a bird off in the distance flying in my direction. As it got closer I noticed it didn’t look like any bird I had ever seen. It kept flying towards me and to my amazement it zoomed right up to me and landed softly on my shoulder. I wasn’t sure what to do. I thought it was cool, but it also made me very nervous. Then it bent its neck to look at me straight in the eye and suddenly it had a worm in its mouth and when I turned my head it flew off to its nest and gave the worm to the baby bird. So I went in for dinner, ate then came back outside and the bird had grown. I wondered how quick could birds grow I asked myself?” I went in and asked my mom “how fast can birds grow?” She asked me why birds grow?” She asked me why I wanted to know? I said well i’m not sure if you will believe me but come outside and i’ll show you the bird was a baby again I told my Mom I saw the baby bird before lunch and when I came out it is like it magical grew. My Mom had a face like if she was trying to say are you sure you didn’t imagine that. My Mom just went inside with a weird look on her fore. When I turned around the baby bird was not a baby anymore. I thought I was going crazy. I went inside to take a nap. When I laid down I saw the bird by my window and its eyes had pooped out but i was just screaming it but when I looked by the window and nothing was there. Good it was a dream. Not yet I saw the bird on the tree.

We talked about what we wanted to put in the story. We didn’t always agree but we have a good idea about it. All because we want different things in the story and we try to combined our stores we don’t make them make sense. Our partner has good ideas but some times he doesn’t. We all agree on somethings like the father is missing. What we are doing is we have to make a story with people from New York. Are story is Missing In Venice. It is a very hard story to put are words in. We all thought that it would be an easy project. My partners are Rahon, Everth and me. We also put all our thoughts on a thing called Googel Docs. The one that drew the pictures was Harris Burdick but we have to right the story for the pictures.

THE CHOCOLATE TUNNEL



We had just sat down on the school bus that was taking us on our field trip when the bus driver stood up, turned around and in a loud voice said, “ We are not going on the trip you thought we were. Your class has won a trip to a very special place.”

The next thing we knew some kind of gas started to spray from the ceiling and we all fell asleep in our seat. When we woke up hours later we found out we had been taken to a very dark tunnel. I was the first one to wake up. My friend Adam was right next to me I had woken him up he started to ask all these questions. This man had walked in and asked us to stay still. Then he said to stand up row by row. When I got out of the tunnel I touched a wall. I accidentally ripped a piece off. I held it up to my face and it smelled funny. It did not smell like a rock it smelled like chocolate. The walls were made of dark chocolate. I told my friend Adam but he did not believe me. I showed him by eating it. Wow he believed me everything was made of candy. Then the man took us into a room it was very bright everyone's mouth was opened there was candy every where. The leafs and grass was made of sour dummy candies the water was made of chocolate. Then a man name Willy Wonka came singing in when he was done there was oompa loompas short people with green hair. They put us on a candy boat through a really dark tunnel it started going faster and faster everyone got dizzy. They told him to slow down but he wouldn’t listen it looked like an endless tunnel until it ended. Right under a large tube. When one of my friends saw the water he jumped in and we got sucked into the tube but my friend was still stuck in the water. So they tried to suck him up but he was to fat so they got a bigger tube just perfect. So Willy Wonka took us into a bubble room. As soon as he pressed something we all turned into a bubble but Willy Wonka. So Willy Wonka popped all of us and that was the last everyone ever heard of us.

OUR TRIP TO MARS

OUR TRIP TO MARS



On Tuesday night I made a lunch for Marsopolis.

What was in it you ask? Their was a sandwich with mayo and ham. I also had a G2 but it was in a water bottle instead of in a normal big bottle it came in. Then I put some chips in a plastic bag the chips were Lays and by the end I weighed everything and put everything in a paper bag.

When I got to school that morning my hole class was talking about going to Marsopolis. Some were excited that we were going, and some were not.

When I got in the class I went straight to the scale and what do you know my lunch weighed nineteen (19) ounces. I was just three (3) ounces off of getting twenty-two ounces.

So after I weighed my lunch I went to go help put some journals together then we past them out they had all kind of different things.

Then we had to get our system and take it to the bus and sit down but some of us had to hold our things in our laps.

Getting to Marsopolis was very easy because it was only five (5) minutes away from our school.

I was not felling nervous or anything because I knew that their was nothing to worry about.

Well I saw about over five hundred (500) kids sitting right in front of my face.

As soon as Mr. Bryant introduced everyone he said everyone get to their habitat and get to work. We all met our partners and we introduced our self's and went straight to work.

When we started to build our habitat it was hard because we could not figure out how to build it. So we would all think of ideas. Finally a kid thought of an idea he said lets put the plastic down on the floor and tape it like a cross. That's what we did then we taped the sides and put the roof on and what do you know it looked like a master piece. Not really but I think you know what I mean.

Then we sat down and Mr. Bryant said to get your lunch and go eat in the front of your habitat and so everyone got their lunch and ate it. I had my sandwich with mayo and ham and G2 drink and some chips known as Lay’s.

Then after that we got to go outside and go play Telephone. Telephone is a game when you make a line left to right and you tell the person of the front of the line something and they past it on to the person at the very end. Then the person at the very end comes and tells the person in the front what they heard and if they get it wrong they just get it wrong. After that game we played Duck Duck Goose. Then ten (10) minutes later we had to go inside.

Then we walked in and right in front of your eyes their were all our habitats together. Everyone went through every habitat and they were all so cool. Some even had writing on them. You could tell that people did try to do a good job and some people had awesome habitats. We also had to crawl on or knees sometimes, and that hole that we went through was small and big just in between.

After all that we garbed everything and put it back in the bus and headed back to school by the time we got back it was 4:45. We put everything in our class room and picked up three (3) pieces of trash off the floor and we were all excused.

Cinderella



Once there was a mouse named Gus. He was Cinderella's best friend. There was a time he had to get some strings and beads. So he said that he would distract the cat and the other mice would get the beads and strings. He said to the cat, “come here kitty, kitty.” The cat tried to get Gus, because they were worst enemies because cats love to eat mice. Gus got him to sit down so he could come up with a distraction so the other mice could get the stuff. So he started to paint the cats nails. I thought that was courageous because the cat could get his other paw and put it on top of Gus. After that, Gus got him and put him in a bucket full of water and the cat jumped out and started to chase Gus. Just in time Gus got the cat to sit down so he could blow dry his hair. So Gus went to ask the other mice if they had gotten everything? They said “no” so Gus said to hurry up. Gus told the cat to sit down and stay still. The cat sat still saw all of his hair flying and when he looked in the mirror, there was beads in his hair and his hair was cut short. I thought Gus was courageous because he sat there and did all that stuff when he could of been killed and eaten. So Gus and the other mice ended up getting everything they needed. They returned everything to Cinderella and she got to go to the ball. They all lived happily ever after.

7 RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME





One random thing about me is that I like to play soccer. I love to play soccer because when I make a goal I feel good in side. My favorite color is Purple. I like the color purple because it’s not to bright and it’s not to light, and fits me right. My favorite group singer is Danity Kane because they sing really good. I like there song Damage. My favorite web site is Clubpenguin.com I like that web site because you can play games and waddle around. Well lets see I like Suit Life On Deck. It is a funny show to me because London (a actress in the show) is always making her self look dumb and she doesn’t know it. The thing I like to play with is my cousins Wii. We have lots of fun games and I am really good. Sometimes when my sister and I go out side and we hear the ice cream man We get ice cream. I like the one that has chocolate and banana, it’s the Bomb Pop. So those are seven random facts about me I hope you enjoyed them.

Dear Senators Obama and McCain



I think we should stop testing products on animals. Why? We are torturing innocent animals everyday. Did you know that we test shampoo, soap perfume, lotion, hairspray, drugs, gel, mousse, make up and more on animals. That’s just wrong! How would you like it if you were them? Some get sick and some get killed and that’s not right. We should test on other things like paper or something other than animals like monkeys, dogs, rabbits and more. They are putting their lives on the line when they don’t even want to. So all that I’m saying is we should stop testing on animals. Sometimes it is wrong but this is my thought and maybe others too so you should think hard about this problem.



Another thing I think we should do is help the middle and lower classes. They are struggling every day just to pay their bills. Maybe what we could do for them is lower taxes. Also we could help them by not wasting money on the bailout bill. Some of them will go rob a store or a bank. Well do we want that happening? No that’s what I thought. All I'm trying to say is give them a break. Some of the people even kill themselves why? They can’t even pay for their kids’ lunch. Also they can’t even go to a restaurant. Some could use help and some don’t need help.

SKYPEING WITH MR. MAYO'S CLASS





Friday, Oct 17 during class we went on Skype and were Skyping with Mr. Mayo's class and they were great. They were not to loud and they were not to quit. Even thought it was there first time, they did a good job. We learned how to stay safe on the internet, Like, not to show private pictures and not to tell people your cell phone number and more. They were telling us who their partners are and what they like to do and they also asked us questions. We also answered them. Also we lost the connection a couple of times, the video was not working and they saw us but we could not see them. So if your asking well what did you do about it well we let them reset there laptop and we would wait. It didn’t work but after five minutes it started to work. They new what they were doing so they told us that we would Have to Skype next week so we said okay and they hung up. So that's what we did Friday, Oct. 17. Oh I forget we also had to right a story about it and that's what I’m doing right now.

Have you ever been to the new store called Sheels? Well I have and it’s the bomb! Why? When you enter you see a lot of stuff but the only thing is, is that it’s only a sports store.

I know this sounds dumb but it has a ferris wheel. I went on it. We were waiting in line for an hour. You have to be a certain height to ride the wheel and you can’t take any babies on it. When my Mom, my cousin Nene, my sister and I all got on we went around about six times. When you stay there on the top for a little bit while people are getting on you can see the whole store. There are a lot of other things you can do but I’m not telling you yet, just wait. There are a couple of rules. When you are on the ride you can’t rock the seat and you can’t put your arms and feet out of the seat. When you get off you kind of feel dizzy.

Another activity you can do is sign in to be on a little fashion show and put on clothes. If you sign up they pull out a name and you could win a $250 gift card.

There are also statues there. Like people that are famous. I think their eyes are real because if you follow them and keep your eyes with their eyes it looks real.

When you walk in the first thing you see is three to four big, big, big fish tanks. If you work there you could go into the fish tanks and you could put on a little show for the parents and there kids.

They also have a food court. They give you about anything.

You could sit down in a real race car and you see a big screen. You could race against another person, but the car moves what ever way you want but it doesn't go around in circles or move out of it’s spot.

The store sounds really cool. Well it gets better. The next thing I’m going to tell you about is... You could play golf. Yes I’m telling you the truth, but the only problem is that it’s sort of like the Wii. You hold a real golf club and you swing it and it hits the ball like if you were really hitting it.

So do you want ot hear more or do you want me to stop? Well ok then I will go on. They have a bank and an ATM there. They have about six cash registers. When my sister and my Mom, my cousin Nene and I went to go pay we had about three things. They were done ringing everything up in about 30 seconds.

They also have a tram and it’s a store! When you go to the Mall or some other store they don’t even have a car to drive you around. Why do they have a tram you ask? because if you have a lot of stuff to carry and kids and on top of that a baby, then you take the tram.

Something else they have for you to do is try on clothes like if you shoot B-B guns then you can try on the clothes to protect you.

When you are walking around you see a couple of things like when you go to the side, with all the clothes not the sports side but the fashion side, you see a lot of nice clothes. Guess what? they have at least four to six TV’s, that's real cool.

When I went to the top of the fairs wheel I saw this statue with a goat, sheep, mountain lion and two more animals but I forgot what they were called.

When I went to Sheels the very first time my Mom, sister, Nene My Cousin and I thought it was better than the Mall. My cousin Nene said, “Well the Mall has to pick it up.” Pick it up means to get a little better. I think that Sheels is a very nice store.

When you enter on the side of the wall there are a bunch of Pepsi bottles on the side. You know how there are a bunch of the black labels on the side? Well they put it that way so you can see the black labels and they spelled Scheels with the black labels.

I might have told you this already, but they have a tram and the colors are red, gold, a light gold though, and a yellow.

So all I will let you now is that they have a lot and I mean a lot of security cameras so don’t try to steal.

Alan Levine is a man that Mr. Crosby met at China where they both taught other teachers how to use technology. Tuesday, November, 25, 2008 we Skyped with Alan Levine. He is a very nice man. Today was the very first time we Skyped with him. When ever we Skype with someone for the first time we tend to get a little loud but we managed not to this time. When he logged on we started asking him questions. One question that we asked him was if there was a TV show called Spongbob in Iceland. He told us no and we all sighed. Someone asked if their money was like the money in the US, and he said no it was very different. So he showed us some coins and there were symbols on them like a shark, salmon and a crab. The money was very colorful. One funny thing that Alan Levine said was that he is watching someone else's house and that they had a hot tub. When he told us that he was watching someone else’s house he told us that he also had to watch a dog. He pointed his camera at the dog and it was a girl Icelandic Sheepdog. The dog also had a very furry tale. The whole time we were Skypeing we never lost signal with him but he did freeze up a little. The cool thing about this whole thing was that before we logged off he told us that he was going to visit our classroom. We thought that was cool and excited. After he told us that we logged off and got back to work and started writing a blog post of this very day.

(Santa Claus)



Today is December, 24, 2008. I’am in my room just doing my homework and I heard a voice shout out “Christina get down here!” I shouted back “No I don’t want to go take pictures with Danny!” My Mom tells me to go get downstairs right away. So I went down stairs and when I got down there I saw Danny (my three year old brother) dressed in a Santa Claus suit. My Mom told me if I go she will by me the present I wanted for Christmas. I said okay and I got ready and we left. We got to the Mall at 4:50 and Santa Claus was about to leave for his break but we got there just on time. We were the last people in line. My little brother went first and they took some pictures. Then my Mom went and got my little brother from Santa Claus. Then Santa Claus asked me if I wanted to take a picture with him I said “No” then he said ” No you do.” So I sat on his lap and he asked me what I wanted for Christmas. I told him “Well I don’t want anything I just have always wanted to be a reindeer.” He whispered into my ear well I’am short on a reindeer.” I said “Ha right I’m eleven and I know that Santa Claus, Is fake!” He told me that he was the real Santa Claus I said “Prove It.” So he did he told me to follow him to the top roof of the Mall and I did. He showed me his sleigh and his reindeer and I fainted. When I woke up I was surrounded by a bunch of people. I stood up and I saw a bunch of small people. When I saw Santa Claus I asked him, “ Who are all these people?” He told me these small people with the green suit’s are my toy makers called elves. The ones that look like nut crackers are my soldiers and the beautiful young lady right next to me is my wife Mrs. Santa Claus. I looked at everyone for a second and he asked me once more if I wanted to be his reindeer?” I asked him “How long would I be gone?” He told me Just for two days.” I said “Well what do I tell my Mom?” He said “I could freeze her and then when I un freeze her I could go back in time when you were siting on my lap.” I said “But then It’s like Christmas never happened!” He told me that I won’t have to worry about anything just about me being a reindeer. So he asked me once more “So would you like to be my reindeer?” I said “That’s fine!” That day an elf came up to me and told me that Santa said I only have a few hours to go explore The North Pole. I said “Thank you.” A little after 6:00 another elf came to me and told me that Santa Claus wanted to meet me in his office. I told the elf to tell Santa Claus that I would be there in two minutes. While I was heading to Santa Claus’s office I over heard three reindeers talking about Comet being sick and that Santa Claus brought a kid from the USA and that was me and they also said that I’m going to have to learn how to fly in mid air. So I started walking a little faster to Santa Claus’s office. Once I got there he told me it was time for him to turn me into a reindeer so I could learn how to fly in mid air. So he told me that I had to follow him. Once we got to the place we needed to get to, I met with all the reindeers. He told me that he was going to turn me into a reindeer right in front of all the other reindeers. I told him that is was fine with me. So he said the magic word “Reindeer, Reindeer, you are now to become a reindeer! ” Then he pored some magic dust on the top of my head and told me to look at myself. So When I looked at myself I felt like someone was pulling my hair out and then when I looked up to see what it was I was growing antlers. Then I looked down at my feet and I started yelling because it was like some one was pinching me and that’s when I was growing my hooves. The worst thing that I grew that hurt like crazy was my fur. It just hurt like CRAZY it felt like I just can’t put it in words that was how bad it hurt! Then right after he turned me into a reindeer it was time for them to teach me how to fly in mid air. They put us in line and they tide us all up on a harness. There was one little twist that was though. The harness was magical that the reindeers could only fly if they were wearing the harness. When they put us in line it went by order. First it was Me, Rudolph, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen. That was the order that we were in. When I tried to go up my leg was all tangled in a knot with the harness. So Rudolph told me to stay still and not move I said ok and he tipped his head and used his antlers to untangle the knot. I said thank you and he said your welcome. Then It was really time for me to actually learn to fly and not get all tangled up. Once I went through all that trouble learning how to fly It was time for me to learn how to balance on ice and on the icy roof top. When the little elf named Curtis my teacher told us he was ready for us we went to go met him. Once we entered he came up to me and asked me “Who are you?” I told him with a funny voice “I’m the replacement for Coment!” He told me “You don’t even look like you are ready to even fly!” I told him “ Aren’t you suppose to be nice up in the North Pole.” He just stood quite and went on teaching. So right after we were done with that session we went to Santa Claus and told him and the elves we were ready to go. But before we left we had to run a practice test. After they retied us we ran the practice test. I was right next to Rudolph. He told me that there was nothing to worry about. While we ran the practice test it was time for the elves to put there finishing touches on. Then it was time for us to go and deliver presents. The first thing that happened was the elves put all the toys and gifts for the good kids in Santa’s bag. Then the other elves put the coal in another bag. That means if you are GOOD then you get a present and if you are BAD then you get coal in your stocking. Then next hour we spent getting ready like putting on the harness and putting all the bags in Santa’s sleigh and getting ready to fly. After we were all done with all the things we needed to do we it was time for us to go. But before we all left we said goodbye to Comet and left him get well cards and presents. Then it was time for us to go. We all stood in a straight line and Santa Claus was counting down from ten to zero. When I heard that first number my heart was beating and I was sweating like crazy me antlers felt like they were about to fall off. After Santa snapped that whip we all flew and I looked to the ground and all I saw were the elves and Mrs. Santa Claus waving goodbye. My heart was pounding so hard I just felt like I was about to pass out like I did on the top of the roof at the mall. When we got to the first house we were to land on the roof of a little boy and two little girls house. I looked down before I landed and after we stopped and put our hooves to the ground I was so close to falling. Luckily Rudolph told me to remember that I needed to think about how to land before a actually land. Right when I landed I stood at the edge of the roof and I didn’t fall. I was so happy that I snorted like a pig. All the other reindeers started laughing at me. They asked me “What was that?” I told them that it is a laugh but instead of me laughing out of my mouth it sometimes comes out of other peoples noses. So we went to a couple other houses but I think we went to the tenth house and they didn’t have a chimney so we had to land on the ground and it was really slippery. When we landed this was my first time with hooves landing on the ground. So when we landed I almost fell but I managed not to. After a thousand more houses it was time for me to go home. So then we flew back to Sparks and landed on the top of the mall. Santa Claus told the reindeers to stop right here. Then he untied us and said “Thank you so much for being my reindeer. If you would of said no Christmas would of been destroyed. So thank you once more!!!!” I replied “Your welcome.” Then it was time for me to become a human again. He did what he had to do and Said the magic words. “I know let you back in Earth to become a human.” Right when I opened my eyes I was sitting Back in my room with the door closed and with my homework on my lap. I run back down stairs and I see my little brother open his presents and my dad helping him. My mom tells me “What are you waiting for go get dressed it’s time to go to your uncles to open presents!” I run back up stairs and slammed the door and put a big smile on my face look out the window and see Santa whip the reindeers and shout out ‘HO HO HO MERRY CHRISTMAS AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT=http://!!!!”

I am thankful for my iPod because it was a lot of money and because i should be thankful that i have one unlike other little kids that don’t. Another reason I’m thankful for my iPod is because when ever I go on trips or just want to listen to music now I have something to listen to. I’m also thankful for my tv because I at least have something to watch when I get bored. I should also be thankful for my tv is because when I get mad I have something to calm me down. I’m also thankful for all my electronic stuff like my tv, iPod, cell phone and what ever else I have that I can’t think of on the top of my head.

I Just Like Blogging



This is my third year of blogging and I just love it. My favorite thing about blogging is that I always get to see how many people all over the word read my blog post in one day. I mean it is just so amazing. I also love just being able to right my own expressions and in my own words. One of the other things I like about blogging is that you get to talk with people all over the word.



Talking To Kids All Over The World



Talking to kids and teachers all over the word is the best. Why you ask. Well lets just say that when you talk to kids all over the word you are able to chat with them and tell them all about your cutler and they can tell you about theirs. You also could ask them what time it is down or up there and see what the different is from here to there.



How Does It Help You



Blogging is another way to teach you how to read and to spell. One way that it helps you learn to read is because when you check it you read fluently. Another way that you learn to spell is that you see your mistake and you pronounce the word.

Harry Potter

Starting on March, 2, 2009 we started reading a book called Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone. we have gotten to chapter five so far. I will be writing down a least three good important things that have happened in all five chapters.

In chapter one, one of the important things that happened was that the Dursleys like everything to be the same. Every thing that day was strange and unusual. Like that day Mr. Dursley saw a cat reading a news paper and standing at the end of Privet Drive. Later on in chapter one we find out that the cat in the story was really Professer Mc Gonagall. At the end of that chapter Hagrid came on a motorcycle with Harry on his lap (Harry was a baby). Then Hagrid and Mc Gonagall put Harry on the steps of the Dursleys on number four, Privet Drive.

In chapter two one of the important things was that It was Dudley’s B-Day and they were going to celebrate it by going to the zoo. That morning on Dudley’s B-Day they got a call from Harrys baby sitter saying that she was not going to be able to watch Harry while they take Dudley and his friend Piers to the zoo. Then Mr. and Mrs. Dursley started talking about other people baby sitting Harry. They couldn’t think of any one so they had no choice but to take him (It was Harrys first trip to go any were fun in his whole life). When they got to the zoo then started to look around and then Dudley and his friend Piers wanted to go see the reptiles. Dudley had called them to go over and see one of the biggest snake in there it was the Boa Constrictor, from Brazil. Then all of a sudden the glass disappeared and the Boa snake slithered across Dudley and his friend Piers.

In chapter three Harry got a letter and then got even more letters. All the letters that were coming were coming out of no were. Then they moved to a hut for a little bit. Then in chapter four Hagrid came and told Harry that he was a wizard. Harry was supprised that he was a wizard. Then we found out that is was also Harrys B-Day. At the end of that chapter Hagrid started to tell Harry how he wanted Harry to come to Hogwarts (Hogwarts is a school for wizards).

The last Chapter we got to was chapter five and we learned that Harry did go to Hogwarts but before they did they had to pick up some supply's like three sets of plain robes (black), one plain pointed hat (black) for day wear, one pair of protective gloves (dragon hide or similar), One winter cloak ( black, silver fastening). Then they had gotten a Snow Owl. Also they had to go to the bank to get out some money and some thing for Dumbledore. So that is a summery of what we have read so far.

Skrping With Nelson New Zealand

Today on March, 17, 2009, we Skyped with a class in Appleby located in Nelson, New Zealand. The first thing we did was our class presentation about Sparks, Nevada. Then right after that we sang a little old song called Home Means Nevada. Then they clapped for us. Then they sang there song. We cheered for them. After that we had started to ask questions back and forth. One of the questions was were we lived? Jerico told them that we lived in Sparks, Nevada. Then we asked them what was the population of Nelson, New Zealand? They told us that it is 42,000. Then they asked us and we said 89,449. Then a girl came up to the screen and asked my class how many students we have in the whole school and none of my classmates new the answers. So we asked Mr. Crosby and he told us for someone to go up and say 510. After someone answered there answers they told us that they only have a 100 kids in Appleby School. We said that we have 410 more kids then them. Some of there favorite games are rockbee, soccer, cricket. Some of there favorite foods are chicken (chooks). Chooks is chicken in New Zealand. After a couple of question they asked us how we got to school we told them by car and scooter. Then they told us some of the ways they get to school like a bus and a car. Then we had one more way to get to school which was a skateboard and so a kid In my class named Luis had a skateboard. So we told him to grave it and show them and when they saw it they all AWED!!! They also go to school at the same time as us and get out at the same time as us. The cool thing about our school is that we got to school for 180 days a year and they only go 200 days a year. The It was time to go so we said bye and they said bye back to us and we logged off of Skype and here I’m righting the story.

Skyping With Argentina

Today we Skyped a class in Argentina. The first thing we did when we logged on to Skype with the class in Argentina was our presentation about Sparks, Nevada. I thought that our presentation was good. We told them things about us and things about were we live. Then it got to the question part. They asked us how old we are and I went up to the laptop and told them that half of our class is 12 and the other half of the class is 11.

We asked them how old they are they told us 10. Then we asked them what grade they were in they told us 5 grade. Cynthia a girl in my class asked how many languages do they speak? They told us that 12 students speak english 25 students speak Spanish and all the students speak German. It was also there first time doing a video conference. Then we asked a couple more questions like what is there favorite food? They said pizza. One of the other questions was what is there favorite sport. They told us soccer. Then it was time for us to go we all said bye and then we logged off of Skype.

The fabulous thing about the Moon is that it has 7 phases. Here are the phases Crescent Moon, First Quarter Moon, Waxing Gibbous Moon, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous Moon, Last Quarter Moon, Old Moon. The distance from Earth to the Moon is 384.403km. The Moon is made out of rock. There is gravity and oxygen on the Moon. But the amazing thing about the Moon is that is has 7 phases.

Pluto

The interesting thing about Pluto is that he is no longer a planet. Pluto is the second largest known Dwarf planet we know of. Pluto was discovered in 1930 on Feb. 18th. Pluto is 39 time as far from the sun then we are. Pluto is a cold planet. Earth is considered a soccer ball and Pluto is considered as ping pong ball. But the energetic thing about Pluto is that he is no longer a planet.

April, 22, 2009 we Skyped with a man named Will Richardson. We found out that he is a vegetarian. Then he brought out a book that his wife wrote and it had over 400 facts about the Earth. He told us three facts from out of the book. One was that it takes about 2,500 pounds of water to make 1 pound of beef. Another one was that 95% of corn and oats are feed to animals. Every once in a while he misses eating meat. He also said that you can make very good vegetarian food. Some of the things they eat are Mexican food Chines and more but I wasn’t able to write them down. Most of there house doesn’t run on electricity. He also speaks Swedish. Then it was time to go we said bye and logged off.
