Being Included

There was this boy in third grade that never had no one to play with. And one sunny day the boy asked if he can play soccer with us. The other kids did not like playing soccer with him, but I said yes. And I said if he can’t play you guys can’t play either because it is my ball. Then we pick teams. The boy was nervous at first. When he made his first goal he wasn’t nervous no more. And he was proud of himself. He liked to play soccer from that day on and he felt very happy that day.

Including Celest We started by including a girl named Celest in our class. Mr. Crosby and Mr.Taylor went to Celest’s house to hookup. They had to hookup the modem, skype, computer and web cam. We had to contact people to help us. Celest has cancer called leukemia. Celest’s mom had to sign a release so we can be on the internet. We had to contact Celest’s family to see if it was ok. When we first tried it we were happy and exited. Celest’s told us she was nervous.

How Much I Love Basketball I really like basketball. When I wanted to play basketball when I was five year old. I use to be looking up to my older brother because he use to play basketball. The Reno Ballers

When I made the Reno Ballers I was excited. My cousin Trey was on the he made it when he was ten years old. He told me they travel. The Reno Ballers is a basketball team. On the Reno Ballers a fourth grade team, fiveth grade team. There is a sixth grade team all the way up to a eighth grade team.

Meeting Grace Corrigan

One day Grace Corrigan came to our class. When Grace Corrigan was here it was exciting. Grace Corrigan was talking about Christa McAuliffe her daughter that was a teacher that went in the space shuttle. Grace Corrigan showed us a movie about Christa McAuliffe’s training. Some people in our class were asking questions about Christa and other important people that were on the Challenger. Students in Virginia and New York joined us on over Skype. Skype is a program that allows you to talk to other people over the internet. There was a man named Mr. MaFarlane who took pictures and videos. Mr. Crosby let us take a group picture with Grace Corrigan. That was the coolest day of my life.

I Want to go to Hawaii because my cousin has been living there for a long time. He told me how fun it is living there. My cousin plays football and my team played his team last year. My cousin and I are like brothers but we are living in different places. My mom wanted to go to Hawaii when she was a little kid. My little brother does not want to go to Hawaii. My cousin is learning to surf. His younger sister is learning how to dance and she is five year old. And he is ten years old. I was going once but then my mom decided I couldn’t go. My cousin has been living there for seven years. I have been to Hawaii when I was five years old. My little brother has not been to Hawaii because he was at home with my mom. My little bother is three years old. My uncle was talking how they wanted to move to Reno. My mom and dad were talking that they wanted to move to Hawaii. I think that it going to be a great summer.

The Camera Crew

On Monday there was a camera crew in our classroom. They were asking us questions about having Celest in our classroom over Skype. Gary was the camera guy. Gary had a person named Bill that followed Gary all around the classroom to check the sound. Our teacher Mr. Crosby was on Google Earth on his laptop. Bill, Gary and Ray set up lights to make the room brighter than usual. Ray was the producer/ director. He was asking our teacher questions in the back of the room. Gary and Bill were the sound and camera equipment people. They went to Celest’s house to shoot video at her house. At the end we were asking Bill, Gary and Ray questions about their job.

Halloween

Lorenzo I love celebrating Halloween because you can get lots of candy and you can decorate your house. I like to dress up for Halloween because you can scared people or you can dress up and make people laugh. For Halloween I was Evil Joker. I scared lots of people with the blood coming down my face. It was a lot of fun. When I went to one house. They handed out one or two pieces of candy. But sometimes If you were lucky you got a hand full. My brother was so happy that we went trick or treating. My dad loves candy he took half of my candy. There were lots of houses giving out candy. My brother and I has a contest to see who gets the most candy. When I stop to I saw one of my team mates When I was done trick or treating I went home because it was getting cold. When I got home I started to pass out candy. Some of my classmates went to my house.

Fishing

One very hot day I went fishing with my family. I went fishing with my dad, little brother and my mom. We went to Wal-Mart to get fish food and some sodas for the trip. When we got to Lahontan, there were my dad’s friends were there. We caught so many fish I forgot count. We got there around 10:00am and we left by 8:00pm. The next week my dad, my mom, little brother and I fishing again. My cousin was there we threw our hook in the water at the same time. Two minutes later my cousin and I caught the same fish, both of the hooks were in the fish mouth. And it felt like a really HUGE FISH!!! Then when the fish got out of the water it was a little tiny fish we were mad. I do love to go fishing with family and friends.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving my family and I go to my grandma’s house to eat. Some of my relatives go to my grandama’s house to eat too. When we get there if my cousins are their we play games, and the girls will talk each other. When it is time to eat we run in the house we will wash our hands and get a plate and we will get our own food. Next we will eat and say thanks for the food. When we are done eating we will go back outside and finsh our game. When we leave it was a very fun day.

Our Class Feast

On Tuesday we had a Thanksgiving feast to see how the Indians and the Pilgrims had their first feast. People brought in turkey, cod, salmon, deer, duck, bread, green beans, corn, pumpkin pie, cranberries or cranberries sauce and inger ale. Mr. Crosby had us take a picture with the turkey, the food and us eating the food. In my family we have never had duck. The Cranberries were not sweet they were very sour. My mom made the cod and everyone liked it. When I ate the deer it didn’t taste like anything. The duck was very good. The pumpkin pie was very delicious. I had Pumpkin pie twice but the second time was good just like the first. That was the coolest day of my life.

Running Shoes

One very hot afternoon this guy named Ben wanted to enter a race. He was not fast at all. And Ben wanted to enter a contest. So everyone knew Ben was slow and not going to win. So Ben went to a store that would sell. So Ben bought the shoes that Ben wanted. Ben had made a special shoes sauce that will make the shoes move for you. Ben was making a energy drink and he accidentally spilt it energy drink all over his new shoes. the shoes. The contest was today. Ben had ran out the door, and notice he was running so fast Ben was their in two seconds. And one of the judges saw Ben running so fast. And for the contest the judges had a ideas they had made bulldogs chase them. When they started the race. Before the contest one of the judges had spilt water all over his shoes before the contest. So when Ben ran the shoes sauce had worn off. Ben hadn’t notice that the running sauce wasn’t working. Ben had tried his hardest. So Ben kept running and running when he got to the finsh line. So Ben was so happy when he ran throw the yellow line. Ben had came in first place. The judge that put water all over Ben shoes said how did you. Ben said you did what, the judge said sorry I can’t let you win. Ben said why couldn’t let me win. Everyone was yelling Ben can I have a the shoes sauce that you made. Ben had made money over the shoes sauce that he made. And that is how my invention was made.

When we got to school this morning our teacher Mr. Crosby told us that someone broke-in into our classroom. I was feeling very angry at who did this. I was thinking who did this? Why did they do this? I Wonder who did this? I wonder if the laptops were Ok? But Mr. Crosby told us that they were fine. Mr. Crosby showed us the rock that they threw. I wonder if they took anything that was mine? Mr. Crosby showed us pictures of the broken things. The glass on the floor inside of the classroom looked like a pile of ice all over the floor. The Broken pieces of glass shattered all over the place. I was disappointed. The pieces of glass looked like little tiny mountains. Bob the janitor was fixing the broken window. There was only one pane of glass and I thought that is going to be freezing. Other classrooms had been broken into also. From this day on I wonder who did this.

Maniac had been a very supportive person to others. Maniac had token care of Hester, Lester, Russell and Piper. Maniac speaks out to others very brave and confident. Maniac helps kids that kept getting struck out by John McNab. Maniac helps Cobble’s Corner store by untying the famous knot. Maniac helps Mrs. Beale by cleaning the house without her telling him to. Maniac tries to get the east end and the west end to get along. The east end was the white people and the west end was the black people. Maniac helps his friend Grayson how to read. Maniac is a great person to have for a friend.

Snow Day

First day of winter break I kept thinking that it is going to snow. It had snowed very quietly. I had quickly snatched a pair of jeans. I rush outside to play in the cold and soft snow. I went to the school and I go to and made a snowman.



It had stop snowed and I walked my way back home to warm up. When I walked my way back home the wind was pushing me back. It was a hard time walking back home. Then an hour later it had started snowed again. My family and I had made lots of snow angels. We went to a park and it was like a white blanket of snow. My Dad and I had made a snowman with muscles. Then we made a joke that the worlds strongest snowman ever. Then my little cackle so hard that he fell in the snow.



My little brother and I made a car made out of snow. We made it look realistic. We jumped inside and it had fallen onto the ground.



My Mom and Dad really does not like to play in the snow. My cousin and like to have a snowball fight.

I wish it snowed every day.

My Cousin Jalil

One summer vacation my cousin Jalil asked me if I wanted to go to a football. Then he told me that I have to asked my parents. I walked up to my Mom and Dad and said can I go to a football game with Jalil, my Mom and Dad said sure.



Then Jalil called my house and asked if I want to go to Disneyland next week. I said sure would. We had a great time at Disneyland together. Jalil and I rode every ride at Disneyland.



After we got back from Disneyland we went skating at Roller Kingdom. I get in to Roller Kingdom for free because Jalil works their. We had a great time skating I got to help out at Roller Kingdom.



Jalil takes me to go buy thing that are new. Like new clothes and new shoes. Jalil always gives me money to go buy things that I really wanted.

When I first got my cellphone I was really thrilled. I never had a cellphone because my parents thought that I was not ready. I did not know that I had text message when someone had text message me. I had three thousand minutes to talk. When my first phone bill came it wasn’t very high. It was only thirty dollars. But my Mom and Dad told me that stop calling people because it will start to get higher. Then when my next phone bill got high it was one hundred dollars. I like having cellphones.

When I first got my iPod I was really excited. It was all gray it looked really cool. I had no song on it and I was wonder how am I going to put song on it. Then when I asked my older brother he help. Their were lots of step that you had to do. First you have to listen to what songs that you what to down load. Next you have to what in till the song ends and you listen to it on the iPod or your MP3. Then when my older brother helped me I had have around 300 songs.

Do you know how big space is? Let me tell you. The Stars are not how you draw them, they are round balls. There are more stars than most people understand. The largest star we know of is called the VV Cephei.

Light can travel long was 280,000 per two seconds. Light can travel to the moon less than two seconds. Light can also go around the Earth seven times in one second that is cookin’!

Some people call the Sun a huge star. The Sun can fit eight-million Earths inside of the Sun. The Sun is seven million degrees Farenheit. If you just stare at the Sun you saw it were it was eight minutes ago. If you stare at it to long you will burn out the back of your eyeballs.

Alpha Centauri is the next closest star to the Earth after the Sun. Alpha Centauri is 158,500 years in a rocket. Now I like studying about space.

Making my lunch



We were going on a field trip to Marsopolis. Marsopolis is a place at the Reno Livestock Event Center where you build habitats made out of plastic. We had to make a 22 ounce lunch. I thought if I could make a sandwich that is 5 ounces. I could have two of those sandwiches. I was thinking I could bring two sandwich’s. I had two sandwiches and a drink. I was going to my closet and I was finding old clothes to put on.

Getting to school

When I got to school I went to the back of the classroom to weigh my lunch. My lunch had weigh at 21 ounce. I was thinking how can I trade someone to get 22 ounces. I had brought a Fruit by the Foot for a snack on the way there to eat, Fruit by the foot had weighted at 1.3 ounce. Before we got on the bus Mr. Taylor’s class was already sitting on the bus, waiting for us. So I had jammed it in my paper bag and we were on our way there.

I was really nervous. I was thinking how are the people in my group going to act? My group was Valles Mariners A1. It was hard getting the habitat up and putting the fans in. The fan blow the habitat up. We had a hard time getting it up.

I had met all of my teammates. But for some reason it was blowing up well. Then we had notice that their was a hole on the roof. It was not big it was like in the middle. So we got extra plastic and taped it and we were all okay. When we were done building our habitat their were other to do. So we all deiced to do our presentation.

Then we told our riddle. The riddle was why does Mars look angry, because it’s red. People didn’t get it at first, then they got it. So every one got to eat their lunch. Everyone was talking and eating at the same time. When I got done with my lunch I went back inside and was thinking. This had took my whole group a long time to get it finsh. Also it had gave everyone in my group to work together. What I had to build was the the front of the building. We all had to do something. Every school that was there had to build one of the parts. The fan kept falling so we had to tape in the towel so there was lots of thing that school had to do. The hardest part was tapping the fan to the plastic because it kept falling off. Then every one had to get out and fix it again. The thing that went well was making my lunch. The problems that we had was that the fan kept getting off like I all ready told you. The thing the at was so hard to do was tapping the plastic together. When I wanted to eat my lunch it was only 12:47. I couldn’t wait to eat my lunch. I was eating my lunch but I was thinking that if I can’t eat this I will be hungry in the afternoon. So I ate all of my food. Mr. Bryant said you have to eat all of your food. I was eating with Paul and Victor they were my friends. We had a great time eating with each other we were laughing at Victor jokes. Then we had to go outside. But the tunnel techs had to stay inside to put the habitat together. For everyone else had to go outside to do something with their teacher.

Going outside to play games.

We went outside to play games. The games that we were playing were telephone. The first time that we played the word that we had to pass on was Marsopolis is fun. And when it got to the end they word was Mars. Then the teachers were asking raise your hand if you heard Marsopolis then around five people. Then everyone else heard Mars. Then after that we play Duck, Duck Goose. When we were playing Duck, Duck, Goose we were having a blast. There were lots of people that got tag a lot. There were 27 people in our class and 15 people got tag when they said goose.

Going into all of the habitat

When they called us back inside their were lots of habitat put together. When we Mr. Bryant said line up to go through the habitats. Everyone had ran to the lines. So I was close to the front of the line. When I started to go through all of the habitat. When I got out I went through the other one. The other one was small. But I still went through. I had lots of fun going through all of the habitats. The fire trunk and the ambulance came because one of the girls that was in crunches had fell. And the second time they came was because a kid from fell on his head really hard. He hit his head because he was running. Then after that they took him to the hospital. Then our bus came. Mr. Bryant had told us thank you for coming to Marsopolis and working hard to build the habitats.

My Favorite team is the San Diego Chargers because the lighting sign on their helmet is really cool. My favorite thing to do is boxing cool to me because someone you are boxing just you can hit them how many times you want to but you have to stop when the rounds over. I like the Skating because when you are going as fast as you can you can feel wind hitting your face. I like to watching High School Football because you can see really exciting. Basketball is a really fun sport because I like it when you bouncing the ball on the floor, making a shot. Internet Safety

Internet Safety



You shouldn’t have your name on the internet because it is not safe. If they can find out your name they can probably find out your last name and figure where you live. Also a stranger could hurt you and might kill you. Someone could watch you at school and find out who you are.

Having a network page like Myspace, Facebook, Bebo and any other social network site dangerous. If you have someone that you do not know they could ask questions about how to get to your house and other things. If they had been texting to you aften the could find out information about you. Then they could act like they work with your parents and tell you many things that you had done or your parents had done.

If you tell a stranger where you hang out is horrible thing. The stranger could ask you to meet them somewhere and then they might kidnap you. If you tell them you have a little brother that goes with you they could kidnap you and your little brother.

And if you have a Myspace, Facebook, Bebo or any other thing social network that a stranger could use to talk to you. Make your page private where only people that you know are on your page and not any strangers.

Dear Senator McCain and Senator Obama,

 

There are a lot of things that are going wrong. One thing is that when I want to go to the skate park. I have to ride my scooter all the way to the skate park. I don’t have very much to do because the skate park that I go to the only thing to do is tricks because, their is a big bowl that looks like a swimming pool, ramps and bars that you grind on. I can’t grind that’s why I only do tricks. Most of the time a practice my tricks is because my parent won’t let me go that far. So I have to wait until my parents are ready. That why I want a skate park that is close.

The bailout bill should be more important. What if the money was for something that was very important. When the bank that you have put your money in what if it goes out of business. The bailout bill should be important for the people that are working real hard. If the bank that you put your money in what if it catches on fire. So the bailout bill is  important for the family who are working real hard to keep food on the table. So the bailout bill is important to a lot of people.
