Being included is a big part of being happy. It’s very important to be included. Like one time these three girls said that they didn’t want to be my friends. So the next day I tried to tell them something but they wouldn’t listen. I think that being included is very important. If I’m not included I’ll try to be included with some one that will include me. My class has a new student. We can’t see her because she never comes to school. She doesn't come to school because she has a type of cancer. We also have to set up a computer at her house and the internet. I think it’s going to be hard including her from a computer. I’m going to try so hard to include her. I hope that when the student in my class comes, she will be included. I also hope that the kids in my class will include her in the things we do.

Seeing Celest in the Internet Today we got on Skype and saw Celest for the first time. We are trying to include Celest from the internet. Mr.Crosby had an idea and the idea was to use skype to get Celest on and it worked. Mr.Crosby also had to call Celest’s parents to get permission to put Celest on the internet. We had to get a computer. We didn’t have a problem with the sound or the picture. It feels so good to include Celest.

Mr. Crosby

Mr. Crosby is a great teacher. He might talk to much but that’s only to explain things to us. I wish Mr. Crosby would come and teach at the middle school. I think that our class is really lucky to have him as our teacher. Mr. Crosby is a really cool teacher. When I was in third grade I thought math was hard. But when I came to fourth grade it became easy. Mr. Crosby taught the whole class alot. Mr. Crosby is really special to me, that’s why I wrote a story about him. I like all my teachers put I like Mr. Crosby the best.

The Place I Want To Go

The one true place I want to go to is Barcelona because I want to see new things and explore new places too. I have always wanted to go to Barcelona because it seems like a nice place to visit. I have heard that it’s a really nice place to go with your family. I have seen Barcelona on TV and the places that the TV characters went to are the places I want to go. Barcelona seems like a very nice place to go and have a nice vacation. In the TV Barcelona seems so beautiful. If I ever get to go to Barcelona the first thing I am going to do is go to the museums go shopping and explore the beautiful city. I am also going to have the best time of my life!

One day a camera crew came to my classroom. When we came into the classroom they were getting ready to video tape us. They video taped the class working on our laptops and showing Mr. Crosby teaching us about Google Earth. Then we went to eat lunch. When we came back from lunch they were getting ready to leave. On Halloween

Camila

On Halloween I stayed at the after school program (twilight). My grandma came and picked me and my brother up so we could leave. And when we came home my uncle and cousins were waiting for us so we could go with them. I was extremely excited to go trick-or-treating with them! Since I celebrate Halloween we put up decorations. I dressed up like a spider witch, it was an amazing costume! Me and my cousins went trick-or-treating around my house and some bakeries. We got so much candy it felt like we were trying to count the stars! My little cousin that is 2 years old came trick-or-treating with us, it is her first time going trick-or-treating. Everybody said she looked adorable in her costume. When she got candy she got a huge smile on her face. That night she looked as happy as getting a lot of presents on Christmas. When we finished counting our candy we went to Wendy’s. My aunt works there and she gives us free food, they were also giving out candy. When we finished she gave us some candies. Then we left. My uncle took us back to my house. Both of my cousins wanted to stay, but my uncle wouldn’t let them because my cousin that is 5 years old has school. It was a fantastic night.

The Wedding

Camila

October the 27th was my aunts wedding. She chose me to be a bridesmaid of honor and trust. We woke up at six in the morning so we could get ready. My mom woke up so she could do my hair. When my hair was done it looked extremely pretty. My aunt got out of the shower and grabbed her makeup. I got dressed and was waiting for this lady to come and finish doing my hair. While the lady was getting ready my aunt was putting on her dress. The lady did my hair so wonderfully. After that another lady came to do the bride’s (aunt’s) hair. My aunt was extremely excited. My aunt put on such a beautiful dress, it looked like she was a princess. While my aunt finished getting ready the rest of my family left in the car except for me and my grandma. We were going to go in the car with my aunt but it didn’t come because the driver was my uncle’s friend and he said that the car was so nice he was cruising around. When the car got to the church (Our Lady Of The Snows) we got ready to start. When I started to walk by the other bridesmaid my aunt was right behind us. It was a amazing wedding! The after party was a lot of fun too. My aunt and uncle had a blast! It was the best time of my life!

I think Thanksgiving is about giving thanks to people and everything we have. I’m thankful for having food on my plate everyday. I’m also thankful for having friends and family that care about me. I’m so thankful for having a school where I can learn and know how to read and write. What I’m really thankful for is having a shelter like a place to live and like my school and other places too. My Mom’s Gift

Camila

I woke up and it was a really important day. It was my Mom’s birthday. I got ready to help my mom make breakfast. My brother ate eggs and me and my mom ate cereal. After we finished eating we went to the store to buy things for my mom’s birthday party. We also bought some food and some drinks. Then my mom took us home to get ready for the party. We put up decorations and made food. Then my aunt picked me up so we could get my mom a gift. We went to two stores and couldn’t find my mom’s favorite flowers. Then we finally found them at Save Mart. We bought the flowers and other things too. When I came back and gave my mom the flowers she was really surprised. She loved her flowers and she gave me a hug and a kiss because she was really happy.

The Broken Window

Camila

I was shocked when I heard people broke into our class. I was really surprised when Emilee told me that people broke into our classroom. Then Mr. Crosby showed us some pictures of what the shattered window looked like. The hole in the window was huge. They broke our globe and the globe cracked in half. They must have hit it with the rock when they threw it at the window. There were really big pieces of glass on the cart and outside of the classroom. I couldn’t imagine what all that glass looked like. It was really weird. What I’m happy about is that they didn’t take any of our laptops. It was a scary experience because I had never had that happen to me before. And that’s what happened.

The Invention

Camila

I got it, my invention. One day I was thinking about how some kids bully other kids. I always thought about that problem but I was never sure what to do. But then it hit me, What if I was able to transform into who ever or what ever too. I want to transform to show those bullies whose boss or show them how it would fell to get bullied. so since I got that idea I have been thinking of what to do. I have been drawing designs to see what would work and what wouldn’t. Until one day, Bam, I knew that design was the one. I was so happy fireworks were going off in my head. I came home from school so I could start building it. I waited two days Because I wanted to make sure everything was good and ready. I worked and worked on it for about five days. It was a challenging project but I think I had finally done it. I wanted to try it out but I couldn't I wanted to wait at least two days to make sure everything was running all right. I was so anxious to try it out. Today I tried it, Zap, I wasn't really sure if worked, and if it did I would be able to transform for the rest of my life. I thought about my favorite animal and in less than a second, Wow. I took a look in the mirror, I became what I wanted to be. I tried different people and animals and they worked too. The next day I showed those bullies whose boss. And since that day those bullies never bullied anyone else ever again.

Going To Sacramento

Camila

My mom had exciting news, I was surprised. This morning my mom told me that she had something to tell me and that it was really important. It was my birthday. I came home and my mom told me to pack my things because we’re going to Sacramento. My face froze like water in the winter. I was really surprised that we were going to go to Sacramento. My mom said that my aunt, uncle, brother and her were going to go too. I was so happy I couldn’t wait to leave. My aunt and uncle came to pick us up. They took us to this park in Sacramento and it was beautiful. We did so many things over there I wish you could have seen it. After that we went to eat. We ate hot dogs and chips. Then my aunt got us tickets to go on the train. We had to wait 20 minutes to get on. The conductor asked all the kids if they wanted to see how they control the train. I told them ok. It was really cool. From the train we saw a lot of houses and a wonderful river. When we got off the train my aunt told us that we were going to buy some chocolate covered strawberries. They were delicious. It was an exciting day and the best birthday too.

Maniac Magee

Camila

The book Maniac Magee was a stupendous book. The book also possesses a lot of exciting things to read about like what Maniac did to bribe Russell and Piper to go to school. What I like about the book is how Maniac cares about others. I think that some people that read Maniac Magee want to be like him because he cares about his friends and family. I would really like to be Maniac’s friend because he would care about me and respect me too. If I was like Maniac I would care more about my friends and my family. Maniac is brave and has guts because of what happened throughout his whole life. If you ever get a chance to read Maniac Magee try to find out about what he cares about.

I Can’t Wait

Camila

I can’t wait! Can you? I can’t wait until Christmas because my family is going to celebrate it together. I love Christmas because it’s time for presents, Christmas carols and spending time with your family. This Christmas is really special because I’m going to spend it with my grandparents. My grandma said that she wants me to pretend that I’m Santa Claus that night. Another reason I’m excited about it is because I might get a Zune. If I do get one my family is going to let me pick the one that I want. I hope I get a lot of presents. But when I get them I want to feel that they gave me them with love. Christmas is the best time of the year. I can’t wait to taste the food that my family is going to make. I can’t wait until Christmas because I know that it’s going to be the best Christmas ever!

Making Wiki Pages

Camila

Last year in fourth grade my class made wiki pages. A wiki is a web site of your own. We made wiki pages about the animals in Animal Ark. Animal Ark is a place where they take animals that are hurt, found and don’t have a family. Mr. Crosby made the wiki pages and then he assigned every group three or four animals. My group had the Barn Owl, the Peregrine Falcon and the Gray Wolf. We used apple works to type out our information and the internet to find the information about the animals. We also used Google to find web sites for our wiki. We used Flicker to find some pictures of our animals too. When we found enough web sites we had to choose four or five of the best ones. Then we signed into our wiki copy and pasted our web sites and the picture of our animal. Then we saved it and then Mr.Crosby made sure that the web sites were appropriate and that they worked right too. And then when we were done doing all that work our wiki was ready to go and ready to see them. That’s how we made our wiki.

Cheerleading Try Outs

The announcements were on and Ms. Dickey said that there was going to be cheerleading try outs tomorrow after school. My friend Tayza looked at me with a surprised face. She asked me if I wanted to try out, I told her that I will try out if she tries out with me. Then she told me to let her think about it and that she will tell me at recess. The bell was about to ring I was really anxious about her decision. The bell rang.

We met at the basketball court she told me that she did want to try out. I told her that I wanted to try out too.

The next day Tayza and I were really nervous about trying out. After school we went to the classroom were try outs were at. After try outs were really tired but we had a blast doing it.

The coaches Ms. Ianonne and Ms. Ferris were going to put up the list of the girls on the team on Monday. Tayza was really nervous about who was going to make the team.

On Monday after we went to look at the list. I was so happy that I made the team but the problem was that Tayza didn’t. I went home to tell my mom and she was really happy. I felt really happy but I felt bad about Tayza but I couldn’t do anything about it because she wouldn’t listen to me.

Yesterday I played in the snow with my brother and my cousin. We saw a lot of snow and a lot of people going to play with it too. I was making a hill so that my brother and my cousin could go down on it with the sled. The snow was soft but ounce you went in it you would freeze. While I was making the hill I got really cold.

Then when I was going to go back inside my dog escaped she rolled, ran and went crazy in the snow. After we saw my dog run and play we grabbed her and put her back inside so she could dry off.

When I came back out side my brother threw a huge snow ball at me and it was freezing. Then I made a bigger snow ball than that one. When I threw the big snow ball at them (my brother and cousin) and they both fell on the ground.

Then my grandma got really mad at us because we were really soaked. We went back inside to change our clothes and dry our self's. When we finished changing my grandma gave us a cup of hot chocolate.

After that my aunt came to pick us up so we could go and eat. We went to eat at a chine’s restaurant. Then we came back and went to bed because we had school tomorrow and because we were exhausted.

How We Edit

Article posted February 5, 2008 at 11:36 PM GMT0 • Reads 102

Camila

When we edit our stories we do a lot of work. We usually start by proofreading our stories.

Then we try to find some of our spelling mistakes, capitalization, punctuation and English (does it sound right) mistakes too.

When are done with all of that we print out our story to make sure that we fixed all of the mistakes.

Then we put our finger on the first word in the sentence, names and every other word in the story to make sure that every word is spelled right.

After that we go back to the computer and double space our story so we could see the words better and have more room to mark the mistakes.

Then we read aloud to our selfs so that our ears can “see it” and hear it for more mistakes. It takes a lot of time to edit our stories but it helps a lot.

I like blogging because I like to share my stories with other people in the world and I like learning new things too.

I have improved so many things just by blogging like my English mistakes, spelling and writing mistakes too. I have also learned how to edit my stories and that has help me a lot with my learning too.

Students should blog because it’s an amazing experience and it could help them with many things in school like their punctuation, capitalization and other types of mistakes too. That’s why you shouldn’t take our blogs away.

Space

Article posted February 26, 2008 at 11:16 PM GMT0 • Reads 113

Camila

Today Mr. Crosby was reviewing some things he taught us about space.

Like the fastest speed we know which is the speed of light. Light travels at 669,600,000 mph (miles per hour). The speed of light can go around the Earth seven times in a second. The Moon is 280,000 miles away from us and it can take the speed of light two seconds to get to the Moon.

The Sun is a star and it is the first closest star to the Earth. But the second closest star is Alpha Centauri. Going to Alpha Centauri at the speed of light would take about 4.37 light years to get to it.

The Sun is a star which is a big ball of burning gas, like all types of stars. When you look at the Sun you see it where it was eight minutes ago.

The planets are different sizes and when you compare the Sun to the planets it is really big but when you start bringing in the stars and you compare some of them they get bigger and bigger than the Sun.

Last night I saw the lunar eclipse. Yesterday I went with my puppy at six and looked at the sky. I tried to find the moon but I couldn’t see it because it was cloudy. I went back inside and waited twenty more minutes to go back outside again. I went in my house and watched TV until my alarm rang. After five minutes my alarm rang, my brother and I went outside with my puppy and looked for the moon but we still couldn’t find it.

We went back inside and waited until seven, I couldn’t wait to see the moon. When it was seven I went back outside and still couldn’t see the moon but the clouds were orange and the clouds were clearing up too. I went back inside and waited and while I wait my mom came home.

When my mom came home it was about seven twenty so I went back outside with my mom and I finally saw the Moon it was like wine color but a little bit darker. I was so excited to see the Moon. I went back inside to write down some notes. When I went back outside the clouds were clearing up a little bit.

Then I went back inside and I had dinner. It was eight my mom came outside with me. I saw the Moon a lot clearer and I saw white from the moon. Then we went back inside and I went outside the last time I saw it and when I saw it the moon was all most full white.

Our story is called Archie Smith, Boy Wonder. All of us were thinking that Archie is an alien and that was turned into a human when he was a baby because the fireflies were having a war with the aliens. I was so anxious to meet my partners Mr. Crosby says that we are going to Skype them again tomorrow. We had a problem hearing them but rather than that everything was fine. Now You Finish

I had nothing to do one day and was really kind of bored, so I went outside and started to walk around the neighborhood. I spotted the friendly dog from next door in his yard playing with a ball. The ball squirted out of his mouth and shot into the street. The dog ran after it just as a car came along and BAM! the car hit the dog. My heart was pounding in my chest as I watched the dog land in the street and the car speed away! I knew I had to do something to help! I ran to the dog and saw that she was still alive and breathing. Her eyes opened and looked up at me. I could tell by the look on her face that she was scared, in pain and wanted help. So I …

took into my house. My mom is a vet so I asked her if she could see this dog. While she was looking at the dog I went to tell the owner. When I went to tell the owner she felt so disappointed. My mom told the owner and I that the dog was going to be okay. But the dog had to stay in my house so that my mom and I could take care of her. The dog was in really bad shape so we took extra care of it.

We had to keep the dog in shape so we took it to the dog to the park. She felt very weak but she was happy too.

Her owner always came to visit her dog. My mom told me and the owner that the dog was going to go home soon.

After a couple of days the dog felt a lot better. When we took it to the park she ran and played but at times she felt weak.

After a couple of days my mom brought another dog to the house it was my birthday gift. It was the cutest dog I have ever seen.

Before the other dog left we went to the park for the last time. They both looked really cute when they ran and played together. When we got home my dog laid down and then the other dog came and laid down by my cute boy dog. My mom told me that they liked each other.

Then the owner came she saw my dog with her dog sleeping, she thought it was really cute too. Then because she thought they looked really cute together she said that she will pick her up later.

When both dogs woke up they ran and played together.

Then the owner came back to pick up her dog. Both dogs were really sad because they new that they weren’t going to see each other again. My doggy missed his girlfriend and the other doggy missed her boyfriend. So because when they didn’t see each other they felt very sad the lady always brought her dog every day to play with with her boyfriend.

After a couple of days the owner took her dog to my mom so she could tell her how she’s doing so my mom told her that her dog was going to have puppies. We were so excited and so was my dog. After four to three weeks the dog had her puppies. The five puppies looked so cute. Some of them looked like my dog but most of them looked like their mom. We sold three of them and I kept one and the other lady kept one too.

Marsopolis

Camila

On Tuesday night when I came home from Twilight I went home and got everything to make my lunch. I made a sandwich with two slices of baloney, a cup of fruit and some chips. I also had a water bottle. I had to drink some of my water because it weighed more than ten ounces because I weighed it in the morning before school was over.

The next day when I came to school I had to weigh my lunch to see if it was twenty-two ounces. I weighed my lunch and then I looked at the scale and it weighed more than twenty-two ounces. I checked what was wrong and realized that my snack was in there. So I took out the snack and then I weighed it again and it weighed exactly twenty-two ounces. After I weighed my lunch I had to put it into my backpack and my group’s lunches too. Then Mr. Crosby gave my group a plastic bag just in case we needed it. I also put my group’s journals in my backpack too. Then we got our name tags ready and our system too. When we were done with that we went outside and got on the bus. I was going to sit with my friends in fifth grade but then I decided to sit with my other friends in fourth grade.

I was really anxious because we were finally going to meet our other partners that we have been E-mailing through the internet. While we were waiting to get to Marsopolis my friends and I were playing and talking about Marsopolis.

When we finally got to Marsopolis everybody that was already there was sitting on the ground. Then we went to our table to put our systems and our backpacks down. Then we took a seat on the ground and listened to the announcements. The guy that was making the announcements was called Bryant and he told us that he has been doing Marsopolis for more than sixteen years. He also told us that we were going to start building our habitats and where we could find the place where we were going to build it. He told us that there was going to be a piece of tape where it had our number. Like my group’s number is OMA2 which stands for Olympus Mons the biggest canyon in the solar system. So when he sent us off to build our habitat everybody got up and went to start building their habitat.

Then my group got up and got our plastic so we could see how we cut it and what part we needed to cut. When we walked over to where we were going to build our habitat we saw all of these kids standing there. They where all really nervous but after a while we talked and we got to know each other better. Then we started to plan how we were going to build our habitat.

We planned everything. First we started looking at all the plastic and seeing what goes where. Then some kids went to go cut out plastic. These kids that I met their names were Joey, Kelsey, Holly, Josh and Brian. There were more kids but I don’t remember their names. Kelsey, Joey and I started to put the tape onto two of the corners of the habitat and then we started to put tape on the sides and the ceiling.

When we started to put up the ceiling we took a long time to just do that. Then we started to put the other corners and the sides up so we could finish building our habitat. I was inside of the habitat so that they could tape it and so that I could tape the inside of the habitat just in case there were any holes.

Then the other people in my group were cutting out the tunnel while we were cutting the hole where the tunnel went. The tunnel is where they attach the end of the small piece of plastic so that the fan could make our habitat go up. We turned it on and it was a success.

After we finished building the habitats we ate lunch. I ate my baloney sandwich and my fruit and chips. I was talking to Kelsey and we became good friends. I really enjoyed having her in my group and the other people too. She gave me some chips and I gave some back.

Then when we finished eating Mr. Bryant called us to the floor and he told us that we did a really good job and that we were now going to watch rock videos and go do our systems presentation. He told us that half of us had to watch rock videos and the other half had to do their systems presentation. The system that we had to do was transportation. Then he split us up. My group and other groups had to stay and watch rock videos. So the first video was really embarrassing. But the last ones were really good. We spent fifteen minutes watching rock videos and then we switched to our systems presentation.

Then he called us back and he told the people that saw rock videos to go get their systems and go to their habitat. My group and I had to go get our systems and get ready to say riddles too. We went to our habitat and waited until the other people from our group came with their systems.

The first system to go was waste management. They did a really good job. Then the group that had temperature control went. Theirs was great. Then the group that did water supply did a good job too. Just like everyone else. It was our turn and Jazmin had to talk. Then I went. We had two systems to do but when we were done with the systems we had to tell riddles. We told one riddle and the other groups said some more. Then Mr. Bryant told everybody that we had to go back to the middle of the room. We took our systems and set them on the back table. Then he told us that we had to go outside so that the tunnel tech could connect the habitats and that the people that weren’t tunnel techs had to go outside. So we went out side with Mr. Crosby & Mr. Taylor. We played a game that is called Telephone. What we had to do was line up and on one end Mr. Crosby had to tell somebody anything and at the end the person that was the last had to tell Mr. Crosby what he said. The first time we got it all wrong but the last time we did it we almost got it there. Then we had a race and the first time Roberto's team won. But the second time my team won. Then we played Duck Duck Goose. We played for a good amount of time and then this lady came out and told everybody to come back inside. So we came inside and all the tunnels were attached.

Then Mr. Bryant told us to get in line so that we could walk through the habitats. I was one of the first people to go into the Olympus Mons & Valle Marineris habitats. Then I went with my friends through the Challenger. After that I went through the Olympus Mons and Valle Marineris.

Then Mr. Bryant told us to go back to the middle of the room. When we all sat down he told us that he had never seen a year like this one. We were all really happy he said that. Then he told us that we had to go home and that once the bus got there we had to leave. He also told us to get our things ready and help clean up before the bus cameq to pick us up.

Then after a while he told us that our bus got there so we got on the bus and sat down. And when we got back to school everybody was talking about it. It was really exciting to go to Marsopolis.

The End

Today is the one year anniversary that we used Skype to bring Celest in our classroom. In remember last year when Mr.Crosby Skype Celest. It was really amazing getting to see Celest even if it was on the computer. I remembered that that day everybody was waving and going up to the computer to say hi. Today Is the 24th of January this is the day that we Celest in the class for the first time. One question for you guys. Have you guys ever wondered how we could help other people by using Skype? Well I have some ways like kids or even adults or teachers that are injured or kids that get in trouble and they can’t come to school because they got expelled. There are many reasons but have you guys ever thought about this, what about the kids in other country that want to go to school but there are not enough schools around where they live or in their country wouldn’t it be cool that we could bring them in from Skype. Yeah there would be some difficulties about it but we could probably figure it out. We have used Skype to talk to a lot of different people like Maryland because they wanted us to give them an opinion about their videos that they made for kids. We also Skyped Virginia because of Celest and this girl named Victoria because she didn’t have handstand that’s why it’s our anniversary.

This is a comment I left on Mr. Upton’s class blog in Australia because his third graders blog have been block.

Dear Mr. Upton and parents, I’m Camila and I’m a fifth grader from Mr. Crosby’s class in the USA. I’m really sorry that your blog got blocked, but it got blocked because your parents want all of you guys to be safe on the internet.

I think that the parents should let their kids have a blog because it helps them with their writing spelling reading and even learning more about technology. Your kids just have to be careful with putting last names on their blog and not putting any personal information on their blog. But it is ok to say that they walk to their house with their friends. Here on our blog we put things on there like that all the time and it never harms us.

I hope you guys get your blog back, and if you guys do I will try to leave comments on your guys blogs.

We read a book about Golden Lion Tamarins. I learned that they were almost extinct and that they keeped them so that they can have babies and start making more Golden Lion Tamarins. Then they put them in a park where they take care of them. They give them their food cut and everything but then after a couple of weeks they start to give them their food full with their peelings so that they can learn how to eat and how to peel so that they can learn how to eat like they would in the wild. Then they put the Lion tamarins so that they learn who and what their predators are. The lion tamarins eat berries and animals like snakes and other things too.

Have you guys ever lost something? Well we lost something that we care about and that is our blog. If you guys take our blog away I would be really disappointed and angry about it.

We had just sat down on the school bus that was taking us on our field trip when the bus driver stood up, turned around and in a loud voice said, “ We are not going on the trip you thought we were. Your class has won a trip to a very special place. The next thing we knew some kind of gas started to spray from the ceiling and we all fell asleep in our seats. When we woke up hours later we found out we are going to Marine World. We woke up and we couldn’t believe it because we thought they were taking us to the museum. Our eyes twinkled like stars.

After we found out we were going to Marine World the bus driver took us to the finest hotel in San Francisco. It was like a dream. He evan bought us food to our room! The next day he bought us each a swimming suit and took us to Marine World’s pool. It was so cool because it was fun and free. All of a sudden there was a guy trying to take one of my friends. He ran with her and I was trying to run after him. But then I got tired of chasing him so I looked around and saw a bike. I got on it and started chasing him until I got close to them. Then I jumped on his back nocked him out and took my friend and called the cops before he woke up. The cops came and arrested him and put him in jail for a really long time (3 years and more).

I was walking home one when I saw a bird in the distance flying in my direction. As it got closer I noticed it didn’t look like any bird I had ever seen. It kept flying towards me and to my amazement it zoomed right up to me and landed on my shoulder. I wasn’t sure what to do. I thought it was cool, but it also made me very nervous. Then it bent it’s neck to look at me straight in the eye and suddenly

the bird started to fly around me in circles.

Then it landed on the ground and started to speak.

But I couldn’t understand him.

He went to a tree and drew an arrow going straight.

Then he started to move his head like he was saying follow me.

I followed him but I was confused because I didn’t know where we were going.

Suddenly the bird took me to his family.

He had a very big family.

And he took me to a tree and gave me a note.

It said that people were going to knock down there home.

The guy that was going to knock the tree down was there.

He said that he was going to stay there until they knock the tree down.

They didn’t want thier home to get knocked down so I didn’t let him because I didn’t want any trouble.

The man told me okay but that they have to stop messing around his house and I said okay.

The bird followed me so I took it home.

I asked my parents if I can keep it.

They said okay as long as I keep it out of trouble.

I asked them if I could go to the pet store to buy it food and a cage. They said okay.

I went to the store and when I came back the bird made a mess.

I got in a lot of trouble and my parents said that it’s my last chance to keep it.

Then the bird and I started to sing “THRILLER.”

Then we watched elmo and the bird started to talk about elmo’s fish.

He said it sounded like Michelle Jackson singing “THRILLER.”

Elmo, the fish and Michelle Jackson popped out of the TV.

It was the best thing of my life because we danced and sang “THRILLER.”

Then they went back to the TV and said see you next week.

November 8th we Skyped with the eighth graders in Silver Springs, Maryland. Before we Skyped they sent us some story movies to look at. So when we Skyped we gave them our opinion of their stories. They asked us a lot of questions about Celest and if we’ve ever Skyped with anybody else. We also asked them questions about their stories and how they came up with the idea. They asked us if we were still blogging because they wanted to go on our blog later. The eighth graders in Maryland said that making videos like that was easy. They said that they used imovie, iphoto and garbageband. And then we got off. And that’s what we did when we Skyped Maryland.

Courageous People Crocodile Hunter

1) Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter. On TV there is a show about the Crocodile Hunter. One time I saw him on one of his shows and saw him go up to the crocodile and grabbed it’s mouth with his hands and held it tight together so it wouldn’t bite him. Then he wrestled it and told facts about it.

2) He also hunts crocodiles. Another time I saw him on TV he was with other people hunting for a crocodile. What he did was set a trap for the crocodile. I think he put a piece of meat in the cage and then he left it there. After awhile they came back and it was still there but for there luck right when they came the crocodile was going to get the meat they all hid behind trees and waited for the crocodile to get the meat and right when it got the meat they closed the cage and then they opened it and Steve took it’s tail and pulled it out of the cage. Then he held it’s mouth together while the other guys taped it’s mouth so it wouldn’t bite anything. While they went back and they took the crocodile with him.

3) Then another time he opened the crocodiles mouth and showed it’s teeth and then because he was talking and the crocodile tried to bite his hands but he took them out on time.

His job made him courageous because those animals are really dangerous and they could hurt him really bad. But he did it and that’s what made Steve Irwin a courageous man.

Internet Safety

Three ways to be safe on the internet.

One way is to never give out where your going to work in the summer or where you play. It’s not safe because they’re no parents and the bad people could wait until your alone and kidnap you. It’s also dangerous because they can pretend to work at a camp in a office or what ever until your alone with them and they hurt you or find out something that you don’t want them to find out.

Here is another way to be safe and it’s to never give out your real name. People shouldn’t put their real name on their Twitter, Bebo, Myspace, Facebook and other web pages like that because it’s not safe. The other reason is that strangers and really bad people could get more information about you.

Another thing is to never ever show a photo of your self especially if you’re under age. It’s super dangerous to have your picture on there because that’s a lot of information just with that one picture of you. Another thing is that if they already have your name on the internet and worse if they have your name and a picture.

I hope all of you people that have a Myspace or other ones to be careful!

The first issue that I’m concerned about is medical insurance and health care. I think that we really need to get medical insurance and more health care for people that really need it. Kids need medical insurance and better health care because they’re not old enough to fight sickness off well, especially babies. It’s really important that families get health care and insurance. So please please help them get medical insurance and better health care.

Another issue that I’m worried about is immigration. I think that the immigrants should stay in this country because they want a better future for their kids, and they want better jobs too.I also think that we need to help immigrants fix their papers if they have lived here more than four or five years.

Sincerely,

Today we Skyped with a class in Maryland and we wrote a vignette (short story), and some people got up and were able to tell their story. It was fun and we learned a little bit about some of the people in Mr. Mayo’s class.

My group didn’t get the opportunity to go up to tell our story but it was fun hearing the other groups in Mr. Mayo’s class about what they like and other things.

When we got on Skype the camera from the other class didn’t work. So my class started off with a story and then so did Mr. Mayo’s. Then the picture finally came on and the class told one of their stories. hen one of out groups went on and then so did Mr. Mayo’s.

The when one of out groups went on the connection dropped. When we got back online with them Mr. Mayo had his other class and we couldn’t finish.

So he told Mr. Crosby if it was all right to do it next week and he said yes. We didn’t finish but we are next week.

A couple days ago we Skyped a man named Alan Levine. He joined Mr. Crosby when he went to China. Alan was in Iceland because he was taking care of a lady’s horses and her dog because she went on a trip with her husband.

He told us that the horses there have more hair and are shorter than the horses here. He also showed us some money from Iceland. They are called kroner, he told us that he was going to bring some when he comes to visit us in two weeks. We also got the chance to see the lady’s dog. He told us about the geysers over there and he told us that they had a hot tub in the backyard and that they got the warm water from. volcanoes heat. He also told us about some waterfalls that he went to.

He told us that when the owners come back he is going to make a feast for them but with chicken because in Iceland they don’t have turkeys. The owners are going to make him an Icelantic dinner (reindeer soup) to thank him for taking care of their dog, horses and house.

I was able to ask him what holidays are in Iceland. He told us that they didn’t celebrate Thanksgiving, but that they did celebrate Christmas. It was a lot of fun meeting him and I can’t wait to meet him in person.

It was a lot of fun meeting him and getting to know a little bit more about Iceland.

December 20th, 2007, five days before Christmas. Everyone is around getting ready for the very special day. Christmas presents wrapped and stockings hung high. I went to bed and all was quiet.

I was slowly awakening from the good nights sleep. Oh no, oh no, where am I, this is not my room that’s for sure. Hot coco right beside me? I took a sip and I got up from the bed and went outside to see what was all the racket.

I opened the door and well I had nothing to say. It was wonderful, lights, toys everything but even all that wonderful stuff can not explain what had happened.

There elves around every corner working and making all those wonderful toys. So what did I do? Well let me show you. “Excuse me can you tell me where I am please.” “What, don’t tell me you don’t know where you are.” “Well I don’t.” “Hello, look around you, elves, toys, what’s wrong with you, your at he North Pole.” At at...” “Yes, at the North Pole.” Well how can this be, it’s impossible.” “Oh no, it’s pretty possible if you believe it.” “Well I guess so but why am I here?” “Hey I can’t tell you, Santa Claus will.” “Santa Claus but he doesn't exist.” “Oh well stop getting that idea in your head and start believing again,” “Ok but...” “ But nothing, right know we’re running out of time if you want to help.” “ Help with what,” “Don’t worry about let’s just go so you could find out.”

Every elf was nice to me except one, it was the head elf’s son. I didn’t know why but he just came up to me and said “Getting the main tour huh.” I did not even know what to say because the sound of his voice and when he left he rolled his eyes at me like I did something bad to him when I didn’t. So what did I do, nothing, Chester the elf that was with me told me to ignore him.

And oh my gosh, when Chester told me to stop we stood in front of a door that was huge and not even a little huge but huge. “ Come on go in, you said you wanted to find out.” “Well I do but can you come with me because if it is true I don’t now how I’m going to react, this is Santa Claus office?” “ Yeah, come on in before you...” “ Before I what?” “ Nothing just forget about it.” “Ok.” I opened the door and I couldn’t breath it was like the most magical special and giving place ever. When I walked inside it was like everything changed from that point on.

So me and Chester walked inside his office and well took a big breath, at least for me. So what happened next well the thing that changed every Christmas from that point on. Tap Tap, I turned around and well it was, yes, Santa Claus. His face had a long white beard like the first snow of the year, his rosy cheeks like nice ripe cherries, his eyes well his eyes twinkled like the stars above.

“So come on in and sit down because what I have to ask you is very important.” “ Ok sir,” “No, no don’t call me sir, call me Santa.” Ok, Santa, so what do you want me to do.” Well here is the deal you should know by know all my reindeers names.” We said their names together.” “Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen.” Ok good.” “Yeah, ok, but why do I need to remember their names.” Well like I was going to tell you one of them is very sick.” “ Which one and why.” “Well it’s Comet and I can’t figure out why.” “ Ah, but what do you want me to do because I’m not a reindeer doctor if that’s what you want.” “No Camila, if what I want you to do is become a reindeer and help me deliver gifs on Christmas eve.” Wow, wow, wow, I can’t become a reindeer.” “Well of course you can, just with a little bit of magic and it will do most of the work.”

“Ok, but what about my parents?” “Don’t worry about them because I already talked to them and they were surprised that I exists but I made them understand.” “How about my brother.” “Oh, he wasn’t surprised because he already new I exist.” So what happened next you asked, well we went to see Comet he looked really sick I felt really bad for him but in my head I was still thinking about what the head elf’s son told me.

“Ho ho ho, are you ready well I guess so but one question will this hurt?” “I don’ think so.” Ok, I’m ready.” Yes I did turn into a real reindeer but let me give you more details. Santa got out his magic (glitter), it sparkled oh so beautifully. He sprinkled it on me and well, my head was heavier than usual, I couldn’t move my fingers around, and while I was, how do you say it transforming into a reindeer it tickled and I couldn’t stop laughing even when I tried to close my snout. Wow, that was exciting wasn’t it? I got up on my two hind legs and oh oh. I fell, I total forgot about not being able to stand up. But I was able to talk to the reindeer and talk to Santa and everyone else.

I jumped and wow, I was able to fly. I came back down and one of the elves that was in their took me by my antlers and well, what did I do, I just played along. What could be more exciting than this. Have you ever had anything happen to you this exciting?

Trot trot trot, the lead reindeer came up to me and said “Welcome my name is Blitzen, nice to meet you.” “Oh no, it’s a pleasure to meet all of you finally.” “Oh, well thank you, we are all excited to be working with you.” “Thank you so much.” “ Ok, well right know we are eating come and eat with us so you get your energy up before training.” “ Ok, so what are we eating?” Well right now we are eating a little snack (hay).” “ I don’t now why but it sounds delicious, do you mind if I have some?” “ No, go ahead take some.” Wow, delicious well right now it doesn't sound like it but trust me when I was a reindeer it was delicious. We were done eating our snack and we went outside. It was so much fun getting to know all of the reindeer.

Training, well that was hilarious. I don’t even know how to explain it to you guys. Wow, wow, wow I couldn’t stop. What happened well it wasn’t a pretty story. “Come on Camila it's time for Santa to choose your reindeer name.” Ok, let’s go but before we go can I get some ice I’m kinda dizzy.” Ok, Vixen can you please go get some ice for Camila?” “ No problem Blitzen.” Ok, I got the Ice and we all went to talk to Santa. “Hello Camila, so are you ready for your reindeer name?” “ Yes Santa.” “ Ok, your new name will be, Snowball.” All the reindeer exclaimed yes and well me too.

Oh no, it was the head elf’s son came in and rolled his eyes and me. Santa stood up to go talk to him but I said no I will.

So the other day I found out his name was Tiny. “ Tiny wait up!” “Why, so you can take all the glory again.” “ The glory what are you talking about what did I every do to you.” “ Well i wanted to be chosen to become the reindeer but I don’t know why Santa picked you.” “ Well me neither but I can’t do anything about it, so come on please. I would love to be an elf. Your really lucky, so come on truce?” “ Ok, truce, one question why would you like to be an elf?” “ Because you get to be around everything in here every day but at least we’re friends right?” Right, now let’s go finish your training because tomorrow is...” We said It together. “ Christmas Eve.” Ok, let’s go.”

We went back to training everyone called me by my reindeer name and to be honest with you I loved it. Wow, it has been a really long day but a really fun and exciting four and a half days. Good night.

Good morning, it was time to get ready to go to work up and even when I was a reindeer Mrs. Claus always left me my hot coco right by my kennel. I drank it and when I opened my eyes again everyone said “GOOD MORNING” “ Yeah good morning to all of you too.” Ok, ok, everyone let’s get going. I got out of my kennel and Tiny was my elf that was helping me do all of my work and made sure I did it right. So we all drank our milk and ate our hay and had a great breakfast.

Right after we were done we went outside and trained for an hour. Ok we are back from the training and well what could I say it was a lot of fun. When we got back Tiny brushed me and then he put my harness on and I was so excited. They all wished me good luck and I wished them good luck too. Ok so now that we were all ready and the elves connected our harness on the sleigh. I was by Cupid he was so nice but I didn’t really care who I was by. Before I did any of that stuff I went by Comet and told him to get better soon and that I won’t ever forget him or any of the other reindeer.

Ok, now Santa came and well you know the rhyme he got on the sleigh and said “ Now Dasher! Now Dancer! Now Prancer and Vixen! On Snowball! On Cupid! On Donner and Blitzen! To the top of the porch! To the top of the wall! Now dash away, dash away, dash away all! Trot, trot, trot and jump.

Wow, how beautiful it was when we left. By our luck we saw the Northern Lights. First we went to India wow how beautiful everything was and you now what the capacity of how reindeer land on roofs are amazing.

After India we went to China, after China we went to Europe. Wow, Europe I would love to go their again. And right after that, we went to Australia and then the Hawaiian Islands. Then to Canada and then to the United States. Wow, it was so wonderful to go to all those places, it was something I’ve never imagined doing. When we were done Santa Claus said “ Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!”

When we got back from the North Pole everyone congratulated me and said that I did a really good job. wow, I felt so good right after everyone told me that. “ Hey Snowball great job and for such a great job I’m going to give you a reindeers bell and when you stop believing again it will stop ringing and when it dose ring it will mean you still believe.” Oh thank you Santa from this point on I will never forget any of his and any of you guys.” “ Ok, know, wow, Comet are you feeling better?” “ Yeah I feel great.” Everyone said yeah and I went to tell him that if he wouldn’t have gotten sick I would have never believed in them again.

So I went back to my house with Santa and he told me that for everyone at the North Pole I will always be snowball. When he turned me back it wasn’t as dramatic as when he turned me into a reindeer it was faster and I didn’t even feel a thing.

“Thank you Santa for giving me the chance to believe again.” “ Oh, your welcome.” After that I never forgot what happened and I never stopped believing in all that wonderful stuff that I saw and hope to see all of them again. So how Santa says,

Merry Christmas To All And To All Good Night

Today we went to the Reno Bike Project and saw Kyle and Noah. They gave us a tour of the place and told us a little bit about the things they do over there.

They also showed us some of their tools and the place where they let people use them for free or charge them three dollars an hour. They talked to us a little bit more about their goal is and also the kinds of people that go and get a bike.

The bikes that they sell are really cheap, like some are between one hundred dollars to two hundred dollars. They also have many kinds of parts and bikes. Their are bikes for older people and younger people too. Kyle explained to me and some other people on how some of their tools work and what that tool is used for.

Kyle also told me that once a year they have an art show to raise money and that people that want to make a peace of art could submit it and some one who likes it could buy it. He told us that last year there was about two hundred people that came and that one peace of art they had in their shop was given to them and he cool thing about it was that it’s a chair made out of bike parts and that this year the art show is going to be on April 25th.

It was an honor to be able to go and see Kyle and Noah because I am really excited to be able to help them get more bikes donated and I hope I see them again soon.

This is a remix of an earlier post.

October, 27th 2007 was my aunts wedding. She chose me to be a bridesmaid of honor and trust. We woke up at six in the morning so we could get ready for the wedding. When my aunt got out of the shower she grabbed her make up and started to get ready with my grandma.

While I was getting dressed my mom got in the shower. Then this lady came to do my hair and my mom’s.

While the lady was getting ready to do my mom’s hair and my hair my aunt was putting on her dress with my grandma helping her too. When my aunt came out she looked beautiful. The lady did my hair first and it looked really pretty. Then she did my mom’s it looked pretty too.

After that another lady came to do the bride’s (aunt’s) hair. My aunt was extremely excited. While my aunt finished getting ready the rest of my family left in the car except for me and my grandma.

We were going to go in the car with my aunt but it came late because the driver was my uncle’s friend and he said that the car was so nice he was cruising around.         When the car got to the church (Our Lady Of The Snows) we got ready to start the wedding. When I started to walk by the other bridesmaid my aunt was right behind us. It was an amazing wedding!

The after party was a lot of fun too. My aunt and uncle had a blast! It was the best time of my life!

The main thing about Gray wolves is that they can carry many kinds of diseases like brucella, deerfly fever, leptospirosis, foot-and-mouth disease, and anthrax. But they can also carry rabies. Sometimes these diseases were given to them by other animals. In general their height is from 0.6 to .95 meters and their weight is 44 pounds to 150 pounds. The females may weigh as little as 22 pounds when they hit maturity. Gray wolves can measure from 1.3 to 2 meters from head to tail. Gray wolves can cover several miles trotting at about a pace of 6 miles per hour and they can also reach speeds to 40 miles per hour during a chase.

The Gray wolves paws are able to tread easily on snow. In the Gray wolves paws their is a slight webbing  between each toe.

Wolves have a two layered coat. Their first layer is tough guard hairs that repel water and dirt. The second layer of their coat is a dense, water - resistant undercoat. They shed their undercoat in the late spring or early summer. Wolves will often rub against objects like, branches and rocks to encourage loose fur to fall out. Sometimes single wolves are found in the wild but it’s more common for them to be in a pack. Single wolves are sometimes old specimens or young adults. Some get driven out of the pack but some try to search for new territory. But the interesting thing about Gray wolves is that they can carry many kinds of diseases like brucella, deerfly fever, leptospirosis, foot-and-mouth disease, and anthrax.

The Family Cat

Article posted March 27, 2009 at 06:23 PM GMT0 • Reads 124

Camila

A long time ago there was a family that owned a cat. The family was very happy for a very long time until one day something happened to the cat’s family and one day the cat found himself with no home.

The cat looked everywhere for it’s family but never found them. Until one day he went back where he and his family use to live and the strangest thing happened to him. He saw his family. He went up the alley way to go and see if it was really them, but when he did he noticed that they weren’t alive and that they were ghosts. The cat was very surprised but even though his family was dead they still took care of him and they were always in their house and the cat lived like nothing ever happened.

Decades passed and everything was well until one day people started to come and look at that alleyway where his family lived.

And one day he saw people with bags going inside his families house without any permission. Then he went to go and tell his family and they told him that it was all right.

One day, once the family was moved in the cat showed up. The family was afraid, but then the cat was purring and rubbing against their legs and they picked him up and the family decided to keep the cat.

The next day they took the cat to get his shots and he was very unhappy about that. But once he got home the family went out and left him there. Then his other family showed up and they told him to stay with this family and that everything was going to be all right. So the cat obeyed them and waited for his new family to come back.

Then many years past and the cat got moved on to each generation. And he was happy for his whole life.

The main thing about pluto is that it was discovered in 1930 on February 18th. It became a dwarf planet on August 24th, 2006. It’s a very cold planet. Pluto is 2/3 the size of our moon. Pluto is the second largest dwarf planet. Pluto has three moons Charon, Nix and Hydra. Imagine Earth as the size of a soccer ball and Pluto as the size of a ping pong ball. But, the mayor thing about Pluto is that it was discovered in 930 on February 18th.

The main thing about the Moon is that it goes through 8 phases (New Moon, Waxing Crescent Moon, First Quarter Moon, Waxing Gibbous Moon, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous Moon, Last Quarter Moon, Waning Crescent Moon). The Moon is approximately 238,855 miles from the Earth. The Moon is composed out of rock and soil unlike the Earth. There is oxygen but not in gas form. The gravity of the Moon is around 1/6 of the gravity of the Earth. But, the important thing about the Moon is that it goes through 8 phases (New Moon, Waxing Crescent Moon, First Quarter Moon, Waxing Gibbous Moon, Full Moon, Waning Gibbous Moon, Last Quarter Moon, Waning Crescent Moon).

The main thing about Uranus is that Uranus it’s the only planet that’s tilted on it’s side.

Uranus is made out of gas and liquid. In Uranus’s upper atmosphere there is a gas called methane. Far below the visible clouds there’s probably thicker cloud layers made out of liquid water and crystals made out of ammonia ice.

Uranus does have wind on it’s planet. The wind speed changes with the distance from the equator. The size of Uranus in diameter of Uranus is 51,118 km across. The total volume of Uranus is 6.833Å~1013 km3. The surface area of Uranus is 8.1Å~109 km2. The mass of Uranus is 8.68Å~1025 kg.

The surface gravity on Uranus is about 86% of the gravity.

Uranus also has rings around it, but it’s very hard to see.

But the most important thing about Uranus is that it’s the only planet that’s tilted on it’s side.

Today we Skyped Will Richardson from New Jersey. Will is a vegetarian and so is his whole family. He has a son that’s 9 and a daughter that’s 11.

His wife wrote a book called Just The Tips, Man to give people tips on ow to help the Earth out.

He gave us some facts about how things effect the Earth like, in one pound of beef there is 2,500 gallons of water, he also told us that the animals we raise uses about half of Earth’s water and that 95% of oats and corn is used to feed animals.

He says that he travels a lot and that sometimes it’s hard to find a restaurant where they don’t have meat.

He also told us that he speaks Swedish.

He told us that his family are vegetarians because they want to help out the Earth and that they do other things to help out but that being a vegetarian is one of the ways they help.

Mars Systems

Since we are doing Marsopolis again this year we made some more systems.

My groups system is recreation. We were able to build three systems.

One of our systems is a dance club. Our second one is a volley ball court. And our third one is rock climbing.

We built a dance club because dancing is a lot of fun and it’s another way to relax.

We also built a volley ball court because it’s a really good way to exercise and a way to have fun too.

We built a rock climbing system because there are a lot of rocks on Mars and it’s really good exercise.

At the bottom of the “mountain” there are a couple of bikes so that if you don’t want to rock climb you can ride a bike.

We also put plastic cover on the rock climbing one because it protects the people below ben protected from the strong winds and the dust devils. and we also put it there just in case any of the rock climbers fall.

In the club we put a air lock so that people can get in and out easier.

Leaving My Mark

Over the past three years I have done so many things that I would of never imagined of doing.

In fourth grade I never thought we were going to get laptops. We did so many things in fourth grade like blogging which is still a very unique experience. Another huge experience in fourth grade was when we made the Inclusion video. And one really nice person came to visit our class which was Grace Corrigan which was Christa McCaullife’s mom.

In fifth grade we made our class wiki page, we went to marsopolis. We had a lot of people from channel 2 come and that was a phenomenal experience.

This year we were on channel 2 and 4. Channel 4 interviewed me but didn’t show it. This year we worked on the internet safety and wrote our 7 random facts post. I also worked on the Reno Bike Project and I still am. I met Alan Lavine. We Skyped Will Richardson. And we also did the project reading to learn.

The past three years have been a blast but know I’m ready for brand new experiences.

Last Day Of 6th Grade

Today was the last day of 6th grade. I feel really sad about it, but I also feel like I’m ready to start the next chapter of my life.

I’m really sad to go but even when I’m in middle school, I’ll still be able to come and visit.

What’s really sad is to be leaving all my friends. But luckily I’m going to Sparks Middle School with them too.

Today everyone from my class signed a piece of paper that that my teacher Mr. Crosby gave to us to get peoples autographs.

The best thing about today was that the Reno Bike Project made everyone T-shirts. They came out awesome and I’m just really glad that we got to help them out.

I’m really glad that today we got to say goodbye to everyone, but like me and my friends say:

It’s not the end it’s the beginning.

When I got there I could here the music for the outside. The party was inside the garage. And luckily it as a really big garage too.

When I went inside the garage I could see people dancing and eating pizza. But when everyone saw me they yelled Camila.

Then Cynthia and everyone else said hi to me. At first I was just standing talking to some of my friends.

After a half hour Lesley came and then so did Jazmin. When they got there we started to dance.

We danced the whole night. It was the best party I’ve ever gone to=http://!!!

On June 7th Alondra had her birthday party and it was a blast. She invited Gissel and another one of her friends came, named Axirey.

When we got there Alondra’s mom asked if I wanted to eat and I told her yeah and she gave me Pozole with Tamales. The food was really good.

When we were done eating we went to Alondra’s room and we heard some music and just hanged out there.

After about a half and hour Alondra asked me if I could stay the night. So I told her that I had to ask my mom first so I called my mom and told her and she said yeah.

So then right after I called my mom Alondra’s mom told her that we were going to cut the cake, so we went to the dinning room and we cut the cake.

After we cut the cake Alondra’s mom gave everyone a piece of ice cream and then we stayed in the dinning room until we finished the cake and ice cream.

Then Alondra wanted Axirey to stay the night to so she called her mom and she let her stay.

Then Gissel went home and Alondra, Axirey and I stayed up watching the movie Twilight until 2:00 in the morning.

Then when it was over we went to sleep and woke up again at 7:00 in the morning. And we just talked and hanged out outside and ate breakfast and then Axirey had to go home.

Then after Axirey left we went got dressed and we made some bracelets and then Alondra’s mom took us to the park and then after about a two hours Alondra’s mom dropped me off at my house.

Today we think about all his songs like “Thriller,” “Beat It” and many other ones we won’t forget.

He died of Cardiac Arrest, at age fifty.

After the family found out they all rushed right over to Los Angeles where Michael was hospitalized.

Hopefully he had a wonderful fifty years of life, and forty five years of his career.

I’m excited because I’m going to be able to meet new people, get more education, have new friends and get to wear uniforms because it’s something different. I’m also excited to get a locker which I think is really cool.

I’m not sure what happened but what I do know is that two doors down from my house they arrested the guy that lives there but we are not sure why. I know that someone went to the hospital in the ambulance.

After the fire truck left the ambulance stayed there for a little bit longer and then it left but we don’t now with who. After he fire truck and the ambulance left the cops stayed and talked with some people outside.

Then the cop went into there house and talked I guess. So then he went in his car and left.

That was what happened last night, exciting!

I am excited to meet my teachers and wear a uniform, it will be different.

I talked to some of my friends from school and we al made plans to meet the first day of school so that we won’t be alone.

How Middle School Is Going So Far

Camila

I haven’t written a blog in so long.

So far middle school is going great. I’m having a lot of fun and the very first day I was pretty nervous but the next day I was totally fine.

Right now I’m volunteering in the after school program at Agnes Risley.

I’ve made a lot of friends and I LOVE all my new teachers.

Yes, I have had a lot of homework but I’m getting used to it. Right now I have a HUGE science project I’m working on and rather then that, the rest of my school work is going fine.

This Tuesday is free dress day which we don’t have to wear our uniforms, so I’m excited for that and rather then that, I’ve been having a lot of fun but I definitely going to miss being in the elementary and being a 6th grader and seeing all my old teachers but luckily because I’m volunteering at the after school program I’m still able to see them.

I’ll be writing more often from now on and hope every body is doing well.

I will be commenting other people’s blogs. Bye for now!!!!

If I could trade places with anyone, it would be Edward Cullen from the Twilight Saga.

I would like to trade places with Edward Cullen because he can read minds, he’s very compassionate, sweet, kind and all he wants to do is to keep Bella protected. He is also one of the most romantic characters I’ve read about.

I would also trade places with him because he has the most beautiful topaz eyes, he has a voice that just takes your breath away and he has a smile that you would die for.

Edward Cullen is one of the many characters I would trade places with, but there’s just something about him that makes me want to trade places with him any day.

If I could trade places with anyone it would have to be Edward Cullen.

When I saw the video Microscopic Community I thought that some of those tiny creatures were pretty cool. I was surprised that all those creatures came from a small drop of water. I think that it's pretty cool how in a drop of water there are many different kind of creatures.

One question that I had after watching the video was if there are more kinds of creatures?

The second question is even if people would clean the water if there would still be some creatures in it?

We Are Not Alone

I thought that the video We Are Not Alone, was kind of gross how it showed all those different kinds of creatures on our bodies and what some of them are helpful for.

When the video said that "Each of us is the keeper of a huge zoo," it was kind of weird to hear that but it was true because our body has so many different kinds of creatures, that they are like zoo's.

And the idea of we are not alone, is really weird too because now you know that there are creatures on your body and that you will never be alone, and for me that's a very creepy.

One question I had for that video was how fast can bacteria reproduce?

My second question, does bacteria reproduce faster than a virus?
