Monsters I've Fance Today

Article posted September 9, 2005 at 05:36 PM GMT0 • Reads 155

The monster I face is fear. I have fear of getting rejected so that's why I don't like to ask questions that I know I will get rejected. I have the fear of getting up in front of people but I realize that I do very well when I'm in front of people and the crowd enjoys watching me. I don't have to be afraid though because I have friends that will help me through. If I just pray about it then everything will be okay.

Dangers in Stunting In Cheerleading

Article posted October 5, 2005 at 05:42 PM GMT0 • Reads 62

Stunting in cheerleading is very dangerous. Falling from stunts can result in injuries. People get kicked, punched, and beat up. One of the girls on our squad last year got a bloody nose from getting kicked in the face. A girl from a different squad died from stunting. She landed on her stomach and died. Everybody has to keep on guard at all times. The bases has to be eye to eye and do things at the same time. The spotter has to make sure the flyer doesn't fall backwards and to keep a tight grip on the flyer. People on the outside need to stay in arms length just in case something goes wrong. I stunt in extensions, limbs, basket tosses, twist ins, split extensions, single bases, and retakes. Cheerleading is dangerous but is alot of fun.

To burn out, or fade away?

Article posted October 5, 2005 at 05:48 PM GMT0 • Reads 76

I think its better to fade away. I like to have fun, but in a respectable manner. I want to live my life to the fullest. I don't want to be plain and boring. I want to have fun and enjoy my life. I don't want to fade into the shadows and not be seen. I want to leave a legacy for the young kids coming up. We should enjoy our life but do in a responsible manner.

What's my story?

Article posted October 21, 2005 at 05:44 PM GMT0 • Reads 56

The most interesting story I'v read so far is The Birds. It had alot of suspense so I had to keep reading to figure out what was going to happen next. The only thing I disagree on was the ending. I think there should have been a little more information about the family. Do they survive or not? It was a cool story.

Who is a friend?

Article posted October 21, 2005 at 05:48 PM GMT0 • Reads 70

We all need friends in our lives. Friends are people who are there for you and help you through your good and bad times. Some of my friends are Shelley, Erin, Kari, and Squirrel. I can go to Squirrel when I have bad days and I can talk to him. Kari cheers me on in P.E. and cheerleading. Shelley and Erin make me laugh and they give me advice about my problems. Friends like these are what people need. I know they will always be there for me.

The best thing about Fall

Article posted November 30, 2005 at 06:05 PM GMT0 • Reads 61

I think Fall is my favorite season. Besides the fact that we have to go back to school. The leaves changing from green to the dazzling colors of red, orange, yellow, and brown. The weather isn't hot but it's not cold, it's perfect. Football season starts. All the fans cheering, it's awsome.

My most prized possesion is my aunts horse saddle. It was given to me by my grandparents when my aunt died because they knew I love horses. I believe it's my responsibilty to take care of it for her and maybe someday when ribbons while riding it.

Highschool or Juniorhigh

Article posted December 15, 2005 at 06:01 PM GMT0 • Reads 62

Highschool is way better than JH. You get more freedom in Highschool. You get to talk while you work. During homecoming you get to work with your classmates on a float, which is so much fun. You have more dances. You get to have debates and discussions in English which is fun to watch. They make you feel independent without being independent.

Christmas Season

Article posted December 15, 2005 at 06:05 PM GMT0 • Reads 62

The best thing about this season is celebration the birth of Christ. A time to think about that night at Bethlahem. Doing Christmas plays at Church. Spending time with family and friends and eating a big feast and watching the game is lots of fun. I like the day after Thanksgiving, when we can go Christmas shopping. I like putting up all the decorations at my house. I also like recieving my Christmas presents and giving presents.

The ideal sub

Article posted January 24, 2006 at 05:48 PM GMT0 • Reads 66

I think the ideal sub should be kind and listen to the student's opinions. They should be able to help the students with their homework and be understandably. They should give us a study hall to sleep, read, get on the computer, or do other homework. They should be fun to make the class fun and not boring and awful. They should think of the students and not think that they are always right.

What's Important?

Article posted February 24, 2006 at 05:39 PM GMT0 • Reads 71

My family is really important to me. They support me in everything that I do. My mom hasn't missed a single event that Nathan and I have been in. They also help you when you have problems. Friends are also important. They are like your support team. Their the ones you can count on when your having a bad day. They both make me feel important

The Olympics

Article posted February 24, 2006 at 05:46 PM GMT0 • Reads 73

I have been watching the Olympics whenever I have had time. My favorite events are the skiing, skating, snow boarding, and the luge. The dumbest event is the skeleton. YOu lie on your stomach, face inches from the ice, traveling 60 to 80 miles and hour going down a slope. Another dumb event is curling. There's nothing to describe how dumb it is. I feel sorry for Michelle Kwan and Sasha Cohen for their injuries but Sasha didn't let a little injury stop her from skating. She skated Thursday night and fell twice on jumps but her artistic abilities scored her pretty high and she recieved the silver medal. That's passion. The US has done pretty well in the Olympics and there's plenty more to come.

Odysseus Finally Home

Article posted April 12, 2006 at 06:00 PM GMT0 • Reads 172

I wonder what was going through Odysseus' mind when he finally saw his wife after twenty years. I wonder what his heart felt when she question that he was her husband. Was he thinking that she was a fool to not even remember what he looked liked? I wonder if Athena was getting mad at all the suspense of Penelope not knowing her husband was finally home. The Odyssey was very good filled with adventure and suspense that attracted my attention. It was very good.
