Mean Monsters

Article posted September 8, 2005 at 10:09 PM GMT0 • Reads 163

We face monsters, such as murderers, drug dealers, cannibals, muggers and all sorts of people like that. We deal with them by doing things like putting locks on our doors and locking our doors every time we leave the house in case someone tries to rob or destroy our things inside. We also have weapons to kill them if they try to hurt us.

we read a story called poison. It was pretty good and we wrote some things about it. It was about this boy that thought there was a snake on his stomach. It was pretty exciting.

Burn Out or Fade Away?

Article posted October 5, 2005 at 10:04 PM GMT0 • Reads 68

the other day we were talking about our lives. How some of us are bored with them and how some of us think that our lives are filled with too much danger. I think my life is boring as do many other of my classmates. I would rather have a short life, but have alot of fun than have a long, dull life that we just waste. What would you rather have?

a good role model

Article posted October 26, 2005 at 05:39 PM GMT0 • Reads 69

what is a good role model. I think a good role model is someone that has good intentions in life. Someone that is involved in sports of extra-curricular activities and that is nice to everyone. Someone that has good grades and that is a good helper. Little kids remember everything that you do, wear, and say if they admire you. I think people should think about what they are doing. They may think it is cool but in reality, it isn't.

drinking and driving.

Article posted October 26, 2005 at 05:45 PM GMT0 • Reads 70

Today we had an assembly. We all watched a very graphic movie of teens drinking and what the consequences of that are. We saw people that had their lives changed forever because them or their friends were being stupid. I really thought about this movie and how people's lives could change in a matter of time. I think it was kind of effective, but mostly because of all of the graphics.

How important is motivation?

Article posted January 27, 2006 at 09:57 PM GMT0 • Reads 165

Motivation is VERY important! i didn't really know how important it was until i started playing basketball this year....

Yesterday the whole varsity had a meeting and Coach Hill was talking to all of us about why we have lost soooo many games! She said it was because we dont have enough confidence in ourselves and the team and that we all need some motivation. I agreed with her because i really couldn't figure out what our team needed until she started talking about motivation and that the whole game is mental!! i really agree with her because we all know that we are capable of going to state or at least winning all of the games in our conference. This is the first year that the Freshman have had a losing season and I know that we have won all of the other times because we had faith in ourselves...if our team really wants to win we are all going to have to get some confidence back!!
