Poison

Article posted September 16, 2005 at 10:17 PM GMT0 • Reads 153

I think that the story poison was pretty stupid and I don't think that anyone should read it because it is disappointing. I wanted someone to get bit by a snake and swell up or something. I just didn't like the ending.

New Orleans

Article posted September 19, 2005 at 10:18 PM GMT0 • Reads 68

I don't like all these people talking about how the people from New Orleans are refugees. Not even true. They are Americans like all of us. Another thing is they had at least two weeks to leave that city so it was their stupid decision to stay in that town risking their lives. This hurricane was a monster to the people in New Orleans because of the destruction, but this monster didn't have to make that big of an impact on the people. They could have escaped.

Harrison Bergeron

Article posted September 29, 2005 at 10:13 PM GMT0 • Reads 63

So this story was the stupidest story I have ever read. First things first. We will never be equal to God. Even if you think we will be, you are ignorant. Sorry, but you are. Another thing is, what was up with people carrying around bird shot or something like that. Anyway, that story was stupid. Don't read it. I have pity for you if you do read it. Consider yourself blessed if you don't read it. The Lesson of the Moth has no real point to it. I guess it's because I don't agree with an atheist(which the author, Kurt Vonnegut, is).

Discipline

Article posted September 29, 2005 at 10:18 PM GMT0 • Reads 65

I feel that everyone who hasn't got a good taste of discipline(like a spanking) should be blessed with a firm swat or five. I just think that kids would behave alot better if they would know that if they misbehave, they will get their butts beat red. I think that's just how it should be.

Classmates

Article posted October 6, 2005 at 09:44 PM GMT0 • Reads 68

Throughout all of my school years, I think that it would be difficult to learn without your classmates. These aren't only classmates, but they soon turn into your friends and foes(but you don't want foes). I find that many people look forward to making foes in school. Can't we all just get along. I feel that if we all were friends, that everyone would be happy. But you must admit that life would be alot more boring. I'm not suggesting that we should all have riots but that a little anger now and then is comic to me and I just get grins and giggles out of watching a couple girls get in quarrels.

Opinion

Article posted October 19, 2005 at 10:09 PM GMT0 • Reads 55

Opinions are a good thing I think. People say, "Opinions are like armpits. Everyone's got 'em, but some of 'em stink." That's true sometimes, but opinions show a person's beliefs and how they think. They are a good way of letting others know what they think about a subject. Opinions of others might not be considered by some people, but they should be because then a good discussion gets going and that gets me ancy.

Arguements

Article posted October 20, 2005 at 10:17 PM GMT0 • Reads 66

There has been a large arguement going around that I think that should be discussed in class. The big arguement is about music. About what each type of music sings about. People say,"All country is is guys singing about their girl leaving them or they love their truck or they drink a lot and stuff like that." I say that all the hard, punk rock talks about is hating the world or hating their parents or about being suicidal. All rap talks about is a guy getting with his girl or a girl with her guy, or about taking drugs, or about their car, or even about killing someone. So, just pick the music you like best and listen to it. Then keep arguing because I like arguements when they're in my favor.

Night of the Living Dead

Article posted October 31, 2005 at 10:06 PM GMT0 • Reads 65

We watched a movie in class and it was Night of the Livivng Dead. I'd seen the movie before so I knew what to expect. My input on the story is that it was cool. The most disturbing part of the movie was the whole Lizzie Border zombie girl who killed her mother with the cement spreader by stabbing her and then ate her. That was a weird part. Another disturbing part was all the zombies eating the dead bodies outside for a good 5 minutes. That was awkward. I liked the movie and it was a good one to show.

Gee, Ya Think

Article posted November 2, 2005 at 09:43 PM GMT0 • Reads 65

I hate to be a party pooper for you guys that think it's so funny to call me a Mexican every stinkin' day of my life, but honestly, it may get funny to you, but it gets old after a long time. Hey, I got an idea, maybe I should call all of you dirty Europeans because that's where your ancestors are from. You're just a bunch of French, Brits, and maybe even Germans. So shut up about me being HALF Mexican and maybe joke every once and a while, but it gets old and annoying. Another thing is that I don't need to be told that I'm fat, I can see that for myself. I could tear anyone of you apart if I felt like it, so shut up about it.

Hunting and Football

Article posted November 11, 2005 at 09:41 PM GMT0 • Reads 72

I'm extra ready to go hunting on Saturday. It will be better than last year. I think that I will get a shot at one this year. I got me a doe last year and that was my first deer; my third year hunting. I'm not too lucky when it comes to seeing the big bucks, but hey, there's always this year and that is what I'm ready for. I'm also extra excited about the big game on Monday. I am extatic about winning 76-34 on Wednesday and I am wanting to do the same thing Monday. WooHoo!!!

The Scarlet Ibis

Article posted December 15, 2005 at 10:11 PM GMT0 • Reads 70

I honestly liked this story. Most of the stories we read are pretty stupid, but this one seemed pretty real and it made you think. I had a little empathy and put myself in the narrator's shoes. If I would have left my brother behind and he would have died, I would have to live through life with the feeling of knowing that I could have stopped his death for a longer time. This was a good story.

Abortion

Article posted February 10, 2006 at 10:08 PM GMT0 • Reads 161

Lately I got into a debate with a fellow classmate on the subject of abortion. First off, abortion is wrong and there should be no choice. Life is life and I don't care what you think, life begins at fertilization. Life does NOT begin after the womb. That little baby inside a woman is just as alive as you and me. Killing a baby that hasn't been born is just like killing a human being in the that is already born and is walking. The subject came up when we were talking about presidents agreeing with abortion. That is wrong and shouldn't even be thought of doing. The classmate said,"What if the girl gets raped?" Let's think. They invented this thing called an adoption agency and you can just put the kid up for adoption. Just because the baby was a mistake, doesn't mean you can kill the baby. What if your mom and dad decided to kill you? Would you still say,"Well I guess that was their choice." OF COURSE NOT!!! You wouldn't even be alive if that was the case. So now you understand why abortion is wrong.
