Monster Madness!!

Article posted September 8, 2005 at 09:51 PM GMT0 • Reads 205

I think that monster's are all around us. Not literally but figuratively. Monsters come in contact with us in different ways. For some it might be when you are giving a speech, and for others it might be when you need to make a touchdown pass. The thing we have to remember is that we are in control of these monsters, wheither we think we are or not.

Poison

Article posted September 15, 2005 at 10:06 PM GMT0 • Reads 77

I thought this story, Poison, was average. I really did not like the ending, I thought that it left you hanging. I did absolutely nothing for me! Whoop De Do, a guy is laying in bed and he thinks a snake is on his stomach, but then we find out it is not there. One word describes this story, that is: BOARING!!! zzzzzzz

Female Presidents

Article posted September 22, 2005 at 10:12 PM GMT0 • Reads 96

I think that a female prsident could, and probably will become president within the next 10-20 years. I am undecided on this topic. The one thing that I always wondered, that is, if a female president did become president, what would her husband be called. Would he be the first man?

My Position

Article posted September 23, 2005 at 09:15 PM GMT0 • Reads 91

I recently posted a blog about female presidents. I stated that I was undecided on this topic. I have just recently took a position on this. I would vote for any female president as long as they were well qualified, and were a democratic canadate.

Democrats v. Republicans

Article posted February 22, 2006 at 06:21 AM GMT0 • Reads 82

As most of you probably know, I am the one who tries to talk about politics, and debate on issues. You probably also know that I am a Democrat. This led to wonder, just what is the difference between Democrats and Republicans. What are their stance on certain issues. I have my own opinions on many topics, but I wanted to know what other people think.

$400 Billion War?

Article posted February 22, 2006 at 06:40 AM GMT0 • Reads 82

I was watching World News Tonight on ABC, and saw that President Bush just requested 65.3 billion dollars for the War in Iraq, bringing total war costs since 2003 to 400 billion dollars ($5.9 billion per month). The original estimated cost for war was $50-60 billion. I personally am outraged by this. Why?!? are we spending 65 billion dollars for the war, when we have people living out of tents in New Orleans, and Mississippi. We need to focus on our problems here in America. Let the government in Iraq handle thier own problems.

Stem Cell Research

Article posted February 27, 2006 at 02:35 AM GMT0 • Reads 87

One topic in the news lately is stem cell research, and experimentation. These stem cells have the potential to cure many types of fatal or life challenging diseases. Opponents have said that this is wrong because you are killing human life. My personal opinion on this is, you are not really killing human life, because you are using left over cells from fertility clinics. These left over cells would just be thrown away. So, why not use the cells to help cure diseases? What do you think?

After High School?

Article posted March 28, 2006 at 06:19 AM GMT0 • Reads 74

After high school, I plan to go to UMKC and get a degree in one of 3 things. I am considering a Medical degree. I am also considering a degreen in Computer Science. The one degree that I am most leaning toward though, is a degree in Political Science w/emphasis in International Relations. What are your plans after HS?

Just one God

Article posted May 4, 2006 at 05:07 AM GMT0 • Reads 177

I was talking with my parents the other night, and we were talking about how there are so many denominations of Christianity when we are only worshiping one god. Really, the only reason we have different denominations is because of small differences in the teaching of the bible. For example, one small difference between Baptist and Methodist is that Baptists believe that women can't hold leadership positions in the church, but Methodists believe the opposite. So really, when you add it all up, the differences are alot more trivial when compared to the similarities. It is also for that reason that I feel that I can go to really any church that worships God and feel comfortable (except Victory of God, no offense it just freaks me out with the whole speaking in tongues thing)
